*blood test - it clearly wasn't bliss!!! Hope you can make the rest out (iPhone errors!!) and perhaps the Pims!!!

gingernutdreams · 09/06/2013 09:14

Well, I tested this morning... and it was a BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grin Grin Really pleased and excited, but also quite scared as we had this result last time but then lost it by the time the 6 week scan came around. We are hoping that this time it is a strong little embie and that and all the lovely drugs will keep making it grow and stick around for the full 9 months!

vallinnapod · 09/06/2013 09:52

OH GINGER CONGRATS Grin

JuicySteak · 09/06/2013 10:49

Ginger, how thrilling! Well done, old girl! Thanks

Must go and pack, the taxi is picking us up at 1pm.

Am I believing? Kinda! Wink

gingernutdreams · 09/06/2013 13:16

Juicy Believe! Believe! Believe! Grin

Pocket1 · 09/06/2013 13:21

Woohoo! Congrats Ginger. That is the most fantastic news. I am chuffed to bits for you GrinGrinGrin

gingernutdreams · 09/06/2013 13:28

Thanks Ladies! I am praying that my little munchkin is well and truly bedded in and comfortable. Now, just to do the test again tomorrow and ring the clinic and book the 6 week scan! Grin

Luckystarfour · 09/06/2013 15:35

ginger amazing news :-) a big congrats! Now remember to keep those levels monitored if you feel the slightest bit concerned over the next few weeks. What a relief to test and get a positive before the 'big' test day tomorrow :-)

Well done lovely xx

vallinnapod · 09/06/2013 17:12

Ladies, anyone know what the advice is on massages/facials during the 2WW? Now the clinic have f*&ked up, I will (hopefully) be on the 2WW during a spa break we have booked.

OP posts:
vallinnapod · 09/06/2013 20:21

Another question....I am (obviously) incredibly dissatisfied with my clinic. Does anyone have any London clinic recommendations?

OP posts:
Luckystarfour · 09/06/2013 20:54

HSFC for sure vanil and I think they'd see you quickly still. pocket and I have been super impressed with Dr Venkat.

Or of course ARGH (that would def. be my alternative) except waiting lists and they often want to do a sample round and ++ costly!

Otherwise Zita West, George - (forget his surname) there is FAB!

As for spa weekend - no massages, no herbals facials but treat yourself as if you are pregnant! No swimming, no jacuzzi, no wine!!!! But pedicure, manicure they'd be fine! How frustrating! X

Hoophopes · 09/06/2013 23:29

I recommend George Nduwke who is now at Zita West. So reassuring and kind. Very organised when working at care but know nothing of ZW'S set up.

Ginger, huge congratulations... Have been reading to see all the pregnancy news recently !!

MiniH · 10/06/2013 07:49

Ginger I'm so thrilled for you. Keeping absolutely everyone crossed that your little bean is sticky.

JuicySteak · 10/06/2013 20:56

Hello from the Czech Republic! Just popping in to report I got my dates wrong and EC is on Thursday (13th) for my donor and ET is next Tuesday (18th), the day we fly home! Our lovely donor is currently growing eleven follicles.

I'm not yet believing! Sad

Frosticle · 10/06/2013 22:54

I've logged on to finish a piece of work off and thought I would quickly check on all you lovely ladies first.

Ginger - that's fabulous news!! Congratulations!! I look forward to hearing how your little one is coming along.

Pocket - Wow! It seems to have flown by. Very, very exciting!! Sorry about your puffy feet but not long to go now!

Vallina - I don't know what to say. How utterly frustrating and disappointing. I find it incredible that they just forgot. My treatment with donor egg was with CRM and I thought they were excellent.

Juicy - good luck!!

gingernutdreams · 11/06/2013 18:04

Juicy all the best of luck for the donor EC on 13th and your ET next Tues! I have fingers crossed for you. Keep the faith girl!

ps. My 6 week scan is booked for 24th June... arghh! So scared.. don't want it to be a repeat of last time. Must keep believing all will be fine! Hmm

Hi to Frosticle, hope you are ok my dear. x

DSB

JuicySteak · 11/06/2013 20:45

Thanks, Frosticle and Ginger. Don't be scared, Ginger, about your scan. This is an entirely different embryo to any previous ones and there is no reason to believe past experiences will be repeated. This is a brand new start for you x

Frosticle, your bravery is unbelievable, what are your plans? How do you feel these days? x

I had my Ovitrelle (HCG) trigger shot at 8pm tonight, same time as my donor. EC in 36 hours!

Not Quite Believing Wink

Pocket1 · 12/06/2013 08:05

Ginger it's normal to feel scared given the past - been there myself. And it's so hard to get your head round the fact that history doesn't always repeat itself - been there too. Please try and allow yourself to think this will happen and all will be okay. It's an amazing journey and you're on track now! Smile

Good luck Juicy to you and your donor! Hope all went swimmingly!

Thanks Pocket and Juicy for your support, and thanks Expat for the congrats shout out. I am chuffed to bits and slowly getting my head round the fact that maybe this time our dreams will/have come true! Grin

Hugs to all

vallinnapod · 13/06/2013 19:55

Sorry for the rant but...

...letter from the clinic addressing my complaint saying they have reviewed my file and my notes state I was told on the morning to increase my meds. I wasn't AngrySad. Sent an email back saying I categorically was not told and asking for acknowledgement of this and assurances that processes would be put in place to prevent this happening again to me or others. I was just starting to feel less upset and angry about it all and now it feels worse. Spoke to a counsellor on Monday and have a follow-up next Monday but TBH I don't lack people to speak to about this, I just want some accountability. Sad

Pocket1 · 13/06/2013 21:54

Vallina it's fine to rant - that's why we're here. Besides you have good cause to. Make sure they hear you and treat you better for your next cycle.

Juicy what news???

twinklestar2 · 13/06/2013 22:09

Just wanted I let you all know I spoke to the clinic and I'm going to be doing the short protocol.

I have around 2 weeks till I start stimming so around 4 weeks till EC.

is there anything I should be doing now? My diet is generally healthy and I run once/twice week. I had my last drink last Friday.
