The femmes fatales of the BESH are lying back and thinking of England

As witches and pumpkins become old hat, the BESH are scrubbing up well in salute to James Bond in general and Skyfall in particular. Put on your slinky cocktail dresses and stiletto heels, grab a Martini, and start schmoozing with well-dressed secret agents.

Insta-diffs will be shot with a quip but without a qualm. Anyone else wanting to join can dodge a few bullets post the BESHtionnaire.

An ESH meet up, you say? Can I play? Pretty puleeeeze?

(I'm PMable for FB, too if you want me..., but only with a disclaimer that I'm a very lazy FBer.)

I am feeling fat and sassy and ready to rumble...

[this message will explode if Mitt gains the presidency]

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 06/11/2012 21:03

Dara O'Brian's Science Club on BBC2 right now looking at reproduction

alwyn · 06/11/2012 21:09

Argh, RL has stolen me away yet again and I'm ridiculously behind.

First half term went so well I handed in my notice at the end of it Grin Am applying back to accounting thingies and have a couple of meetings with recruiters in the pipeline so I'm not concerned about finding something else.

Glad to hear things seem to be progressing for some BESH and slap with a fish for those who are a bit miz (including myself for that matter).

My head of department has announced her diffedness as well. I'm fucking SURROUNDED.

[whispers - And I'm also not yet in my 30s - 4th January and I'm in there]

SinkyGoodenplenty · 06/11/2012 21:09

It's going to be pretty tough keeping track of everyone's mn/real names!

Frankle - I think I remember your photo from the races and have sent a friend request (k mc)

alwyn · 06/11/2012 21:10

Oh yeah, and I'm always up for some new FB friends. I dunno whether you can PM me here or not. Will check - feel free to add.

SinkyGoodenplenty · 06/11/2012 21:12

And naice to see you back al

Join the miz club. But glad to hear 1st term went so well... Are you glad the move has been made?

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 06/11/2012 21:16

Accepted Sinky

JethroTull · 06/11/2012 21:17

I am usually dull on FB but if anyone feels the need to laugh at my photos feel free to PM me Grin

alwyn · 06/11/2012 21:17

Thanks for the welcome back sinky. I'm so relieved I've finally made a move. Just knowing there's an end to it all makes me a bit happier. I can start afresh somewhere else doing something where I'm not having to watch my back all the time.

Does it help if I tell you my joints ache and I have an ear infection that makes me feel about 45? Grin

MissWinklyParadiso · 06/11/2012 21:33

Feeling vair popular with all my new friends today

Woohoo for clear blood norf :)

SinkyGoodenplenty · 06/11/2012 21:36

Oh, missed AMNHs blood. Well done that man. Maybe, just maybe, they think youve had enough bloods fr now Norf? (haven't we all?)

MissSlapAndTipple · 06/11/2012 21:52

Well I never, some cheeky mare who I don't know has requested me! I need to fight laptop off MATVand block block block! Then go to bed, I am getting claw hand from amount of phone clutching tonight

EuroShagmore · 06/11/2012 22:07

alwyn going back to number crunching sounds like the right move.

norfy excellent about AMNH's bloods. Maybe they tested yours when you were in for tubal botheration?

I have very much enjoyed nosing around the pages of my new FB buddies today. I am happy to add anyone else that would like it. (Drizz I've always been a bit cagey about FB friends too - I had two rules: only people I knw IRL and no work folks. I've broken the first of those today and if any of you turn out to work with me I'll have broken the second! If I survive the week, perhaps you will feel safer? )

Sorry to those of you in the miz club.

I'm just at the start of shag week and I have a fanjo injury. I think I got a bit carried away the other night and tore something. Ouchy. And if a willy can tear it, how tf am I expected to get a baby through there??? It's definitely a design flaw.

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 06/11/2012 22:08

It's weird isn't it? Strange to put faces and names to the concept of people you feel you 'know'.

Great news norf, you're on your way!
Sorry it's delay central for you jeffers :( how crap!

alwyn I'd been wondering about you! Sorry to hear it was a rubbish half term but glad you've been able to make your decision and I hope you find a new job in the number crunching soon.

I had my 16 week check up today - all good, got to hear the heart beat. Cried a bit

SinkyGoodenplenty · 06/11/2012 22:15

Aw. Baby faife heart beat. Seems more real now I know you're a real person (iykwim...)

Fanjo injury Euro? Just how vigorous was this schexy fun?!

Aww faif awesome to hear the heartbeat!

MissSlapAndTipple · 07/11/2012 07:30

Lovely hearing the heartbeat faith! Amazing :)

Euro how on earth do you damage your fanjo shagging? That's just showing off :p

Bugs I tend to count day 1 as first day of red stuff.

Good work on the pre-IVF bloods Northy!

Sorry work work is shitty. Diffdness should not be tolerated at work, especially if they yak about it all the time, even when you don't ask!

Right, best go to work.

MissSlapAndTipple · 07/11/2012 07:31

That last bit was for alwyn. I seem to be subconsciously telling myself I have to go to work :(

Northey · 07/11/2012 08:24

Congratulations on heartbeat, lovely faithicle! And a celebratory gentle buzzwam grope for luck.

Off to GP this morning for madness check. Hopefully she will confirm I am now better. I might follow up the counselling thing with her. I had a free sesh from work, but didn't really take to it. Maybe a medically arranged one would b e better.

Northey · 07/11/2012 08:25

Oh, and bugs - looks like I'll be up your way in mid December...

LauraPalmerPlusOne · 07/11/2012 10:11

Stealing sausages from an updiffed woman - the cheek!

Am I a complete dork for being excited about having new ESH FB friends?

Yes.

But it makes me feel all warm and smoochy. Grin

Good luck for all the upcoming bizness...

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 07/11/2012 10:15

Mmm we had sausages for tea last night!

You seem better in yourself norf, how are you finding being back at work?

Fanks for the congrats! 'twas super reassuring :)

Northey · 07/11/2012 10:44

Being back at work is positive, despite being anxiety-inducing in its own right. Am taking it slow and trying not to panic at the FAILURE that seems permanently imminent!

Had a lovely chat with lovely doctor. She wants to check up again in a few weeks but agrees the trend is definitely upwards and she hopes to leave me alone after that session. Now I'm going to go for a nice walk in the woods for fresh air and exercise, I think

FriendofDorothy · 07/11/2012 10:59

I did wonder whether we should create some sort of BESH private group, if only so that we can post out MN names so we don't forget who is who. I have a terrible memory!
