November 2012 BFP bus

Welcome to the November 2012 BFP bus for those of us that didn't make it on the October Bus and anyone else hoping for a BFP in November.

AWoman how short is a short luteal phase? I have always had short cycles, 25-26 days most months. This month I think I ov'd on cd13 and expecting af (I mean BFP of course) around 26. Slightly confused now...

Esme The average luteal phase is 14 days.. also known as "the two week wait" but can be 10 - 16 days. In my non expert opinion, I would consider anything 9 days or under a short luteal phase.

AWomancalledHorse.. what kind of help can we get if we have a short luteal phase?

Taking, apparently vit B6/B multi complex can help (I'd started taking a daily multi-vit this month which may've helped me).
Doctor can prescribe progesterone cream (no idea how/where this is applied, have googled my butt off, as amazon sell cream for menopausal ladies & I don't know if it's the same stuff) or Clomid.
Having spent ages on google looking it up, it would seem it's really hard to get an old-fashioned GP to take it seriously, so arming yourself with as many facts as you can might help.

Hi, please can I join?

This is 3rd cycle of TTC for #2. BFP due on the 15th November, considering I had convinced myself I was pregnant this time, came crashing down to earth with a bang when AF arrived so comforting myself with chocolate and wine.

Have been lurking on the october bus for a while and thinking I may give the soy a whirl this time round. I wonder whether anyone would know whether energy drinks are a good idea or not. I have one every morning and was wondering whether this could be having a detrimetal effect on TTC?

Welcome to sparlke,angie and grannyapple! Hope all are keeping well! Trying to lurk quietly as afraid of getting obsessed as I did last month!

sparkle the problem with energy drinks I'd that they contain lots of caffeine which we are supposed to cut down on when ttc or pregnant. That said, I still drink 3 cups of coffee ( have cut down) so it all depends on your total daily caffeine intake. Everything in moderation I always say!

Any room on the bus for me?!? I'll bring home made macarons :-)

TTC#1 since June, cycles range from 28-36 days so no idea when AF due, my apps say end oct/ beginning nov

Since TTC one friend has had baby 2, another PG with num 1 and another just announced PG with num 4! Feeling a tad left out :-(

Welcome Bunnygirlie.. home made macaroons.. yes please ! I am a pretty good baker but I haven't been able to master macaroons yet. Pavlova & meringues I can do with my eyes closed. I might give macaroons another go tonight.

littlepinkfizz I hear you on the not wanting to get obsessed! I was symptom spotting like a loon last month. I'm determined to be more rational this month.

sparkle I second what littlepinkfixzz said. I have a can of coke zero every day so I'm not one to lecture, but energy drinks are so full of chemicals on top of the chemicals that I would try to cut back a bit if you could.

Oh my god!!

I have no idea why or what's going on but I just took a FRER and a clearblue and they're both BFP!!!!!

Dark line on FRER and Pregnant 2-3 on clearblue!!

I'm shaking.

You're more pg than me, I'm 1-2 on clearblue (taking, I'm going to take that as me being pg, finally).

Good luck with your macaroons taking, far too complicated for me, I mess them up everytime!

sparkle, if you can do without the energy drinks I'd try cutting them out if I were you as they're so full of crap!

Sorry for double post...tried to post when mn was down...

In theory it should be impossible to get a BFP this early, so I must've already been pregnant when I started 'trying' this month.

My periods are a bit all over the place because of the miscarriages, so I was just guessing from a conception app and didn't use ovulation sticks or anything.

Trying not to get my hopes too high given my history, but did just dig out a 'Big Sister' t shirt I bought my DD months ago (while pregnant) and sent DH a picture of her wearing it :)

Not sure what to do now...

Still very dizzy and sick... It must be a good thing!!
