hi wishful! been a while, glad to hear your good news and hope all continues as well as it's been going :)

lol @ winkle - don't worry i'm not going to stand at the end of the bed and prod u with a stick til you're in the mood! eod is just what i'm doing this month, it's not a new rule! and wait til i get to cd21 or so, i'll be thoroughly fed up too Grin

kNickerbockerGloryCherry · 09/10/2012 19:33

God...I'm sorry Ribs :-( Shit, isn't it?

I've had a headache from it all day, which only decongestant would help. Which I'm avoiding!

But I've now finished work for my single life, which is awesome :-)

Hi to Wishful...I'm hoping to emulate your post-wedding BFP!

winkle2 · 09/10/2012 19:50

littlemiss - i dont think i'm gonna dtd! hub is feeling down... he blames himself for not being able to get me pregnant. :(

Lolcbcblemonlime · 09/10/2012 20:25

I'm coming to the conclusion that ttc would be a lot easier without men!!! If we had a stock of sperm we could use when we thought we were fertile life would be a doodle!!!!
Turkey Baster anyone Grin?

Fairy130389 · 09/10/2012 22:16

Hi Ladies!!!!
Just thought I'd gatecrash your thread - I'm new here and TTC my first baby - I do have one DSD who lives with me and DH to practice on but this will be my first pregancy.

Just a thought - does anyone else find it so ironic that you go through your teenage years paranoid about pregnancy, only to become a grown up and realise that it's actually a lot more difficult than you ever anticipated!!!

SunshineOutdoors · 09/10/2012 22:21

Hi all! Cd13 here. So far have dtd cd6,8,10 and 13... not actually expecting to ov until around cd24 but shortly am going to step up the shagging, going to aim for everyday with winkling for about a week. The softly softly approach hasn't been working!

Never know how often to dtd.. Dh has started reading up about it and we can't decide if everyday is too often to build up good sperm or just right to make sure we don't miss the right moment.

Also we're both going to try cutting down booze around ov and see if that works.

Hope everyone's still feeling positive .... I've been wavering a bit but determined to stay determined... this is going to be our cycle Smile

winkle2 · 09/10/2012 22:27

Hi fairy - its ironic we spend our whole lives trying not to get pregnant when really its so much harder than we think!!

OP posts:
LittleMissSnowShine · 10/10/2012 06:29

Winkle - your poor dh, sorry hes feeling down :( but it sounds like you hit all the key days in your cycle this month and ewcm has come and gone so fx fx fx for u!! Are you on cd23 now? When can u poas??

We dtd last night cos dh seems to be treating this month as a challenge lol its hard to be in the mood all the.time.but we've been shagging loads over past few weeks and its been easily the most sex we've had since we just got.married3 years ago and that led to ds's surprise arrival so going to just go with it for now. Cds 6 & 7 down, cd 8 today.

Sunshine - i havent done loads of reading but most of what i have seen.seems to.suggest that copious shagging is the.ideal for ttc unless dp has a low sperm.count and then eod might be preferable. Either way its still.a lot of sex!

winkle2 · 10/10/2012 08:54

Well done on all the dtd littlemiss!!

I think the not getting preg is really getting to him :( He's just sad and disappointed all the time. It's really hard.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 10/10/2012 09:57

Hi granny and fairy I agree it is annoying your most fertile years are exactly when having a baby would be a really bad idea. Then when you are actually ready for a baby your fertility falls off a cliff (I exaggerate but it still pisses me off).

winkle really sorry your dh is getting so down about ttc. It must be really tough for both of you.

Kittenkatzen · 10/10/2012 10:06

Hi fairy welcome :)

sunshine and littlemiss good work on all the dtd!

winkle sorry your poor dh is feeling down, that's rough :( hope you both perk up (so to speak!) soon x

ribs that truly sucks, I'm so :( for you. I will also be keeping my fingers crossed that there are no passing bobbies on Friday.....not exactly romantic is it!

wishful glad everything is going well for you, so lovely to hear people's positive updates!

Hi everyone

Well I'm about 9/10dpo - been having nausea and sore/tingling boobs for last few days. Think it's probably to early for these to be symptoms but can't help hoping. Off to Rome tomorrow for a long weekend so think ill wait to test until I get home.

winkle2 · 10/10/2012 17:26

Of this year when we properly stated trying, it would be me now!!

OP posts:
LittleMissSnowShine · 11/10/2012 08:06

Sorry winkle :( MN sent me a 'your pregnancy at x weeks' email y'day, reminding me that I'd be 20 odd weeks pg if i hadnt had mmc at the end of July. I thought I'd cancelled all of that stuff and to male it worse I saw it on my phone when I was trying to have a sneaky scoot round the shops to buy myself something new to wear for first time since the summer when all that was happening cos I've finally been looking and feeling a bit better. Sigh. Thank you internet!

kNickerbockerGloryCherry · 11/10/2012 08:39

Shit...faint second line on a FRER!

winkle2 · 11/10/2012 08:46

It's shite isn't it littlemiss? I'm due on next week and I just know I'm not pregnant. I can feel it. Seriously, killing me would be less painful than this. I just can't take it anymore.

Nic your symptoms sounding so promising, I'm not surprised. What a fab wedding present.

OP posts:
kNickerbockerGloryCherry · 11/10/2012 08:51

I feel so guilty, winkle :-( I wish I could help you in some way.

Had to tell Bri when I found out and he's really pleased. I got drunk yesterday too as I had a negative test!!

winkle2 · 11/10/2012 08:56

And now I'm crying on the way to work. Great. Life's a big ball of fucking shite.

Sorry nic I'm not trying to steal your thunder of make you feel guilty. It's just I keep looking at pics of my new niece and wishing it was me. It's such a stark reminder.

Really am pleased for you and your husband to be :)
