Second Month on Clomid and No Period but Negative Pregnancy Test

I have been on CLomid for the last 2 months. The first month it obviously didnt work. I suffered with the worse period I have ever had in my life, with servere cramp and excessively heavy bleeding. Followed the instructions the second month with the Clomid, and was hopping around on day 28 when there was no period. Did a pregnancy test but it was negative. Due to irregular periods cos of my PCOS waited until day 30 and took another test. It flashed Not Pregnant. Today is day 32 and still no period. I have another batch of Clomid to take before I go back to the hospital. The appointment, I have now realised means I will not be taking Clomid for one month. After reading so much info here on the net, I am starting to believe that Homerton Hospital is not treating me correctly, as they are only doing the blood test and not giving me an ultrasound.

At the moment I am a mess trying to get my head round everything that is happening, but I am spending more time crying than anything else and I hope that somebody will be able to offer me some advice as I am going crazy at the moment. The husband is excellent, but Im still not coping.

I dont want to get your hopes up but ... 2nd month of clomid I got no period and did 4 tests before getting a positive one. I eventually got the result I wanted around day 35. I hope this is the case for you. Good luck.

I got pregnant with Clomid first month with DS1 but I'm trying for another one and I've given up on Clomid.It isn't making me ovulate and gives me this ridiculous 2 or 3 month cycle. It is so frustrating when you don't know what's happening isn't it? I've lost count of the number of pregnany tests I've done because I can't understand why my period hasn't come.It might be that Clomid isn't working for you either but you never know you could be pregnant.

If you have PCOS then although Clomid may help regulate your cycles, there is no guarantee, and so your cycle may be as long as it ever has been (which may also mean that your Day 21 blood test won't necessarily show whether you ovulated or not). I'm afraid that you're playing a waiting game, and if you don't get a period, you should probably test every 3 or 4 days (the doctors would say weekly, but I could never hold out that long).

AFAIK Homerton just does NHS treatment, and so it would be unlikely to scan whilst on Clomid. My NHS hospital basically put all women on irregular cycles onto Clomid for 3-6 months as this seemed to be successful for about 50% of patients (and obviously unsuccessful for the other 50%). However I was told to take ovulation predictor tests from about Day 9 of my cycle, and they did scan me during one cycle of Clomid (and as they could see that I wasn't responding at all to Clomid that finished my clomid treatment). If you have another cycle itmight be worth using ovulation predictor tests, esp if your cycle is irregular - after all you don't want to get the wrong days!

Clomid will make you quite hormonal - this is fairly normal though not very helpful I'm afraid.

I'm not sure what you meant by the comment that you will not be taking Clomid for one month - is that because the hospital has just given you 3 months worth? This would be fairly normal as they may wish to increase the dose. What daily dose are you on?

But as bunny2 and kiransmum have said - you could be pg - you just don't know it yet. Good luck!

Finally after five pregnancy tests, I have now started my period. Another heavy one. So this is round 3 of clomid for me this month and I think that I will buy the ovulation kit this month to help me, because today is day 40 and now im totally lost with what my body is doing.

please mums in the house help me with advice, i saw my period on 29th August 2018 then I start Clomid after 13 days I see some body coming out but not heavy like 3 days then i finish my dose on Clomid then up till now period have not start and pregnant text negative please tell me something I am going crazy

Mine was always regular 28 or 29days cycle and this is first my periods dealyed for 13 days with negative pregnancy test.got my periods 13days late and really bad heavy flow..can someone please suggest..is it safe to continue Climode this month?

Hi please can anyone help. I have pcos & endometriosis. I have previously back in 2012 had quite a long round of clomid which didn’t work for me. Went onto have my ovaries drilled and endo treated in dec 2017, I had my first cycle of clomid end of nov 2018 and based on a 28 day cycle should start a period today...! Nothing has come so far. Any help on whether it might arrive ? X

Hi there. So I took clomid only once from day 5 to 9 in Feb 2020...however I got my period like normal. Then in March I didn't take clomid and got my period like normal. However now in April, I was supposed to take clomid from day 5 again but I didn't yet get my period. Today is day 5 and no sign of my period. I've done 4 tests from the first day of my missed period, till today.. And all are negative. I don't know what to do. I really hope I am pregnant. Your story just gave me so much of hope again💞

@EllieB2130 in the same boat..let me know if you get your BFP. Waiting till Saturday to test again in Satuday, will then be 8 days late

@Lisa2785 bad news for me😒 got my period the next day (day 6), luckily it isn't a bad period... Will start my second attempt with clomid on day 5 of my period. Wish me luck. And I wish you all the best and hope you get your BFP💕

@bunny2 any idea why it was delayed till day 35? I'm currently 1 day late of my period, done 2 tests, both are negative.. It's my second attempt with clomid... Kinda lost hope for this month... But after seeing your comment, it makes me wonder... Day 35 is a really long time to get a result, how long is usually your cycle?

@EllieB2130 I’m in the same situation, took clomid 100mg cd 3-7. I don’t know when I ovulated but I’m on cd 35 and normally my cycles are 26 days. Tested cd24 and cd27 bfn. The tww drove me crazy and this is worse. Is your period still late ?

@Missybissy12 got my period on day 30...its really painful..
Clomid delays your period so please don't get your hopes up if you late and getting negative results, I had to learn that the hard way unfortunately... Let me know what happens and hopefully we get our positives soon

@EllieB1230 Sorry about that. Yes I feel that way too after reading thousands and thousands of people saying it made their period late and would get bfn, I have decided to inhale my excitement. I asked Dh to get me two pg tests today, one for tomorrow morning and one for cd40.if it bfn then I’ll work on inducing my period. I’ll let you know when I test. What cd are u on on these new cycle

Aaah it's so messed up, I was regular 28-29 day cycle, now it's all mixed up, this time I got my period on day 30, last month I got my period 5 days late, day 33... Currently on my second day of my period 😩I am not so sure if taking another month of clomid is a good idea... How long are you on clomid now?

I used it for 2 cycles last year at 50mg both times, it didn't work. So these was my 2nd cycle the second time at trying it again

@Missybissy12 so do you think i should increase my dose for the 3rd attempt? I took 50mg both times and even my hubby said I should maybe increase the dose but after seeing what it's doing to my body I'm skeptical...
Did you also break out with acne because of clomid?

So the breakout is from the clomid? Oh my I feel so stupid🤦🏾‍♀️ . I broke out about 3 days ago on my face and neck. I never get acne prior to af so I kept wondering why.
I don't see a problem with increasing it unless you have had issues with the dose your on. I don't remember where I read it but some health expert from an online doctor question recommended not to increase the dose if you encounter an abnormal lengthy cycle,over stimulation and stuff but instead stick to that dose.

If it doesn't end well for me this cycle I am skipping the next cycle. I'll be starting on 1500mg metformin

Update bfn, I'm really starting to think I ovulated much later than I think I might bcuz I had lots of watery cm on cd27 and 28 and cramping

@Missybissy12 trust me I had all those symptoms as well.. I also thought I ovulated late, but if you don't get a positive by the 4th day of your missed period.. You're most likely to just be late with your period. Clomid really delays your period

Hi ladies. I was on Clomid 100mg, 5~9 this month. Ovulated on cd18 (opks+temping). CD 14 and still no AF. I was on C. 50mg last two cycles and also ovulated. I then, on both occasions started spottong at 9DPo and 10dpo effectively getting my AF at 12 & 13 DPO. It looks like this time AF is going to be late. Tested at 11DPO with 1 random test (not early response) with bfn. I got disheartened and refuse to test again until I am 4 days late. Luckily, I don't have any tests at home. I don't have pcos and ovulate on my own outside clomid with a 27~28 day cycles. This waiting game is a bummer!
