Hi, thought I'd start the new thread. This is a brilliant thread for anyone trying to conceive or who has got a bfp after mc, full of lovely ladies, fab advice and a lovely place to metal, so called because someone said metal instead of mental and the rest is history......

it should be ok this time as i am taking the treatment but i still get nervous. i think i am mainly nervous as if it doesn't work out i don't know what else to do. in the past i have always been able to think i can try again.

i feel like this everytime i have a scan. i just need to get through the next few weeks and i might be able to feel more confident.

lotsofcheese · 24/10/2012 15:29

Just reporting in with good news: 10+2 & a wriggler on the screen! Thanks SO much to everyone for kind wishes beforehand.

I felt so calm beforehand, which is unusual (unlike Sunday where I was having a meltdown!).

I know I have a long way to go still...

pepsob it's my 4 th pregnancy too - I'm on aspirin (more for PE risk than m/c) but I reckon it can't do any harm.

morien welcome aboard!! Lovely that you have joined us, it's such a good source of support. The statistics are in your favour in terms of future m/c risk, although it's no consolation at all when things are so raw & you're desperate to be pregnant. My cycles were up the spout for a few months after too, but I got pregnant on 4th cycle.

pebspop · 24/10/2012 15:32

brilliant news cheese

backwardpossom · 24/10/2012 17:46

Cheese that's excellent news! :)

pebs got everything crossed for you. x

Welcome to the thread, morien and fingers crossed for your 2ww!

A week until my 20 week scan (at 21+5, but hey...). Starting to get nervous, but I'm still feeling plenty movement so I shouldn't really!

Polka2 · 24/10/2012 19:32

cheese whoop do whoop for the wriggler!!Grin

Welcome morien hope you find support, kindness and luck on this thread Wink

lotsofcheese · 24/10/2012 20:09

I still can't believe it!! Went to the shops afterwards & walked round in a daze.

The relief is almost physical.

StateofConfusion · 24/10/2012 20:57

Great news cheese congratulations.

Welcome aboard morlen so you find youself here. Your in the best hands though!

As for me, this time next week I should know when ill meet the wriggler, scan and consultant apt, excited and nervous.

StateofConfusion · 24/10/2012 20:57

*sorry not so.

SundaySunshine · 24/10/2012 21:32

Yay cheese I'm so happy for you Grin

SundaySunshine · 24/10/2012 22:38

Wow state that's so exciting Grin

Welcome morien sorry that you find yourself here, but you are in safe hands. It's a bit of sanctuary from RL I think.

I'm swaying from being overthemoon, terrified, despondent and wretchedly impatient. This week has gone so slowly. I'd like to try to get an early scan, not sure on the best way to go about that, or when the best time to do it. I think I'm only 4+4, it's so daunting Sad

MischiefsMummy · 25/10/2012 08:25

Hi ladies,
Im hopefully you can help.

I had a miscarriage last month (started around the 22nd) I was obviously devistated, my partner and I have been ttc severally very long months now (the best part of this year).
It's now been a month since my miscarriage and we started to try again almost as soon as the bleeding stopped.
I was taking tests every month, as its now been a month I want to take a test but I'm afraid on not having that little cross in the window.
Is it even possible to catch so soon after a miscarriage?
I haven't had a period this month, and I'm getting cramps and discharge (sorry tmi)
I can't help getting my hopes up.

Can you conceive the month after a miscarriage?
When shall I start taking tests again? Is it to soon now?

Please help.

Tia
Xx

Poor you mischief you are in good hands here. We have all been through mc and know the horror and devastation of it.

It is certainly very possible to get caught straight after mc. Get a first response early response test when you think AF will be due,but bear in mind that unfortunately the first and maybe more cycles softer mc can be very long and messed up. It's just your bodies chance to recover . It's an awful time of waiting when you just want to get back in the saddle again.

We are all here to help and listen. Good luck [hsmile]

MrsHerculePoirot · 25/10/2012 14:41

AF arrived today as predicted. Boo. Will catch up and write more later...

Jollyb · 25/10/2012 18:39

cheese fab news.

morien and mischief welcome to the thread. Am sure you'll find the support invaluable .

Well Dorita and MrsHP onwards we go. Looks like we'll all be DTDing and testing around the same time next month - like three musketeers!

Jollyb · 25/10/2012 18:41

pebs good luck for tomorrow.

JaffaSnaffle · 25/10/2012 19:15

mischief, it certainly is possible. I'm 38 weeks pregnant with a baby conceived straight after a mc. It makes dating hard, and is a bit knackering back to back, but it is fine and possible. Welcome to the thread.

Good luck tomorrow pebs.

I might, might be in early labour. Having some mild contractions that are getting closer together, but still far far too far apart to be anything meaningful yet. But still. We'll see.

lotsofcheese · 25/10/2012 19:54

Wow Jaffa exciting times!!! Hoping baby Jaffa is safely on the way!!

pebs hoping the scan goes well; I know how hard scans can be after a m/c, especially a mmc. I wish I had my "scan innocence" back! Will be thinking of you x

lurcherlover · 25/10/2012 19:57

Exciting times jaffa!

Brilliant news cheese! So glad all was well with your bean.

pebs, lots of luck for tomorrow. Really hope it all goes well.

Welcome to the thread mischief and morien. mischief, it is certainly possible to catch straight away after mc - lots of people on this thread do! Your first cycle post-mc might be very erratic (we call them WTF cycles!) so don't be worried if it's longer or shorter than normal. I had a really late ov after my mc - day 28 or something like that. But I still got pg, so it can happen!

Afm, it is probably total wishful thinking, but I've been wondering if I've been feeling tiny movements in the last couple of days. I'm only 15 weeks, so it's too early really and probably just gas! With DS I didn't feel anything til 19 weeks, but they do say you feel your second earlier...probably gas though but nice to daydream otherwise Smile

MrsHerculePoirot · 25/10/2012 20:00

I like that idea jolly!

pebs good luck for tomorrow.

Ooooooh jaffa, how exciting, hope all goes well!

Welcome mischief and morien - sorry you are here, but everyone is lovely.

Sorry if I've missed anyone/anything...

Morien · 25/10/2012 20:13

Thanks for all the welcome messages - I feel at home here already Smile

Have had a bit of spotting today. I know it could be implantation bleeding but I suspect it's more likely to mean AF's coming - I'd never spotted at all before my mc but in both cycles I've had since I've had over a week of spotting before AF started properly. I hate the way I don't understand my body any more; I feel like I can't trust it any more.

What about others? Did things go back to normal eventually (by normal I mean as they were pre-mc, obviously) or have you learned to live with the changes?

StateofConfusion · 25/10/2012 23:50

Ooh exciting jaffa good luck!

JaffaSnaffle · 26/10/2012 06:00

No so exciting. All calmed down again here. Apparently it's common with breech, there's not enough even pressure on cervix... We'll see what happens next...

SundaySunshine · 26/10/2012 09:17

Good luck today pebs

Daisybell1 · 26/10/2012 11:40

Good luck to everyone today - those testing, scanning and esp to Jaffa!

A quick me me me update - I went to the Dr about the cervical weirdness and have been referred for a scan. The dragging and pressure sensations could be retained products after the erpc. Not sure when the scan will be, I've to chase it up if I haven't heard after a couple of weeks. Thank you for pressing me to go!

pebspop · 26/10/2012 12:57

thanks for the good luck messages! I am going for the scam tomorrow instead as my favorite nurse is off today. she very kindly rang last night to let me know. she's a good un!
