SundaySunshine · 19/10/2012 09:01

Oh My!
I've just got the fainest of faint lines on POAS test!!! Shock I'm a bit stunned. I guess I didn't know where I was in my cycle (still entrenched in the WTF), as I had a BFN the other day so assumed that was it for this month. I only did it because I've got the day off and I've got a bag of internet cheapies that taunt me every morning....Too early to get excited just yet I think. Not really had any symptoms either, in fact last month I was so sure I was pregnant as I had the works, sore boobs, cramps and the like. Had a bit earlier on in the month but since then nothing. Who knows, who cares! Today I'm pregnant and that's all that matters right now Grin.

pebspop · 19/10/2012 09:04

congrats sunday

jaffa good to hear you are being taken care of. sometimes the thought of lying in hospital being looked after sounds like bliss to me. i would love to go to a nice clinic for the next five months and just relax! no commuting no work no hassle!!

Jollyb · 19/10/2012 10:00

It's all go on this thread hey! Congrats Sunday on your BFP.

Jaffa - sorry to hear the ECV didn't work but sounds like you're being well looked after. I recovered very quickly from my EMCS - please don't worry too much about the surgery. I hope your antenatal ward is not too hectic and you manage to get some rest.

Stupidly did another test at 10pm last night - BFN. No more proper tests in house and am going to try to hold off testing for another couple of days.

If I'm not pregnant I just want my period to come so I can move forward. Am 2 days late already . Not a very patient TTcer!

AlphaBeta82 · 19/10/2012 10:11

Congrats Sunday oon your BFP.
Good luck Jollyb

I am bit worried today as realised today Slapped Cheek has been going round our office, with at least one adult confirmed case. More worry! :-(

Daisybell1 · 19/10/2012 11:52

Many congratulations midge!

Thank you for your advice ladies, have booked in with nurse on Monday Smile

StateofConfusion · 19/10/2012 16:24

Congrats sunday this current bumps been pretty symptomless, my mmc had the most pregnancy symptoms I've ever had!

MrsHerculePoirot · 19/10/2012 16:47

Congrats Sunday!

backwardpossom · 19/10/2012 17:32

Dorita75 · 20/10/2012 08:16

Yay Sunday Grin that's fab news!

jaffa at least you're in the right place, just think in a few weeks this will all be over and you'll have a beautiful baby in your arms!

Fingers crossed for you jolly that AF isn't coming for a while. MrsHercule I'm due on some time middle of next week too, am paying too much attention to every single twinge, feeling, emotion....but really trying not to!!

Hello to everyone else on this sunny Saturday...

Thanks all, felt a bit queazy yesterday, but that might have been down to the curry pot noodle lunch followed by half a box chocolates (it was raining and the cupboards were empty! Blush). Seem to be ok this morning.

I hear you jolly waiting is tough, time seems to go so slowly, and then all of a sudden half the year has gone by, ho hum.

I'm off to wee on some bicarbonate of soda, I'll report back later with the results Smile

lotsofcheese · 20/10/2012 11:50

Great news Sunday yay!

Shame the ecv didn't work Jaffa and you're facing a hospital stay away from DD. It'll all be worth it when baby Jaffa is in your arms.

Lots of metalling going on here Sad Should be 10 weeks today, according to my last scan. But I just don't feel pregnant any more. This is around the time my last pregnancy finished, but it was a mmc & I didn't find out for another 2.5 weeks.

Next scan is Wednesday, will find out then for sure. Just feeling meh about the whole thing.

lotsofcheese · 20/10/2012 11:52

Ps good luck with testing Jolly The 2ww fair messes with your head!

backwardpossom · 20/10/2012 12:07

Big hugs, cheese Hope the scan on Wednesday is positive x

I had my flu jab yesterday and I feel really well, just got a bit of a sore arm where the injection was given. 20+1 today...

Jollyb · 20/10/2012 12:56

cheese try not to symptom spot - I know it's very hard. (this is from the queen of symptom spotting). Will be thinking of you on Wednesday.

Still no period- 3 days late. I resisted buying more tests this morning - am going to be strong and hold out til Monday. I did buy however a very smart fitted winter coat - maybe hoping the reverse psychology works.

Good luck to the other 2WWers.

lotsofcheese · 20/10/2012 18:46

Thanks Jolly am feeling calmer now.

I agree with your reverse psychology tactics! After finding out I was pregnant, I still bought some normal pretty tops, in sheer defiance of it all.

StateofConfusion · 20/10/2012 20:53

Good luck this week cheese

31wks today 9 weeks to D day! I'm now out of double figures to go...that's scary!

oo00PIXIE00oo · 20/10/2012 22:09

Hi ladies AF arrived today along with a letter from my GP advising as a mum to be I can have a free whooping cough injection :( they didn't even know about the 2nd mmc as I self referred to the EPU - they still haven't updated their records from April - had a little cry this morning (dh was at work) thought I was doing ok..........

Congrats sunday x

lotsofcheese · 20/10/2012 22:31

Oh Pixie that's double-shite - AF & a sad reminder in 1 day. I remember getting my maternity certificate in the week after my last m/c Sad

Here's to better times & hoping tomorrow is a better day x

SundaySunshine · 20/10/2012 22:52

Sorry you've had a hard day pixie what awful timing. It's shocking really how little joined-up administration there seems to be sometimes.

Good luck for Wednesday cheese fx it's all good.

I've just realised my comment about bicarbonate of soda was from a conversation on a different thread Blush (about an old wives tale regarding baby gender) so apologies if I came across crude, or just a bit mad.

wilderumpus · 21/10/2012 08:36

aw pixie that sucks :( big hugs. I rang my MWs to cancel my booking-in after i found out about my nonviable pg at 6 weeks and had to leave a message which they didn't get, so two weeks later got a call from them asking why I missed my appt :( Why can't they all tell each other stuff?!

good luck for weds cheese. Please try not to worry, I am 10 weeks today and from the May AN board it seems that it is common for symptoms to calm down sometimes around now as the placenta starts kicking in. No good for you who obviously wants lots of symptoms but I hope it helps a bit. x

sunday that is so funny. I had no idea why you were weeing on bicarb! what is meant to happen then?!

I had food poisoning this weekend. better today. food poisoning on top of early pg and being old is bloody awful, i was only awake for 8 hours yesterday!

lotsofcheese · 21/10/2012 10:18

Thanks wilderumpus I'm exactly 10 weeks too (apparently).

I think my issue is more fear of another mmc - last time I had a good scan at 8+5, but the heart stopped in the early 9's - I didn't find out till 11.5 weeks & still had a few symptoms right till the end.

Last time I had a wee bump at 9 weeks - it just didn't grow - this time at 10 weeks I don't have one Sad so I'm metalling that things have already ended Sad

And that yesterday I passed on a soft boiled egg, licking the cake bowl & a boozy work night out for nothing!

Would be interested to hear about the bicarbonate of soda theory, Sunday haven't heard that one before - please share!
