Hi, thought I'd start the new thread. This is a brilliant thread for anyone trying to conceive or who has got a bfp after mc, full of lovely ladies, fab advice and a lovely place to metal, so called because someone said metal instead of mental and the rest is history......

Aw baby welcome here! Don't be despondent. Try to enjoy being pregnant for today, we don't know what tomorrow may bring. I'd definitely be happier with the clear blue result than ic. In all my pregnancies I felt exactly the same as if I were expecting AF so don't be out off by aches and pains . Lots of hugs x

MrsHerculePoirot · 29/09/2012 11:37

Hello. May I join in? I have a DD who will be three in December. We started trying for #2 when she was 1, took 12 months but found out I was pregnant in Dec/Jan but had an early mc (knew early due to early scan as diabetic). It all actually physically happened late feb - was upset, but felt like I would get pregnant again quickly. AF arrived yet again yesterday and I am feeling very sorry for myself. I know that I have one DD and am very grateful for that, so probably should just get over myself!

backwardpossom · 29/09/2012 11:52

Welcome baby, I totally agree with pink - I'd trust the clear blue before the IC tests. I've had all sorts of weird aches and pains with this one and I was convinced I was mcing again, but am 17 weeks now and still metalling

Welcome to Hercule, too. No need to get over yourself at all. Come have a seat and a Brew. I have honey on toast if you want some?

Dorita75 · 29/09/2012 12:49

Welcome baby you are pregnant today Smile

Hi Hercule I remember you from mc thread in Feb, welcome to this one. I also got AF yesterday, 5 days late Grrr....it's a bitch isn't it. But, positive vibes for this month, healthy living and all that...our turns will come!

Thanks jaffa

Have a good day everyone.

Thank you. Hi dorita seeing your name as the OP of the thread inspired me to join actually!

Grrrrr indeed - am trying to focus on the positives that we have the fun of 'trying' again this month now AF is here!

littlepinkfizz · 29/09/2012 19:59

Welcome hercule but fx for October- hoping it will be my month too!

Dorita75 · 29/09/2012 22:06

Well hopefully none of us will need the 4th!!!

wilderumpus · 30/09/2012 15:02

hey all, just popping in to say I had a sneaky private scan today after worrying from the brown cm and cramping last week and I have a baby :) with HB, in the right place measuring 7 weeks - only one/two days differerent from my dates.

good luck to everyone else ttc after mc, this thread is proof enough that there is light at the end of the tunnel :)

Jollyb · 30/09/2012 15:57

Ah Fantastic news Wilde.

Hope everyone's ok.

CD 11 here.
Xx

StateofConfusion · 30/09/2012 16:57

Afternoon everyone, welcome hercule

I need a kick up the backside again, metalling for no good reason, babys wriggling but keep convincing myself I'm imagining them!

bonzo77 · 30/09/2012 17:10

just popping in to mark my place and will read back shortly. It's been ages since I checked in. Anyway, 26 weeks yesterday and all fine. The anxiety sort of settled down mostly after my 20 week scan, but I am having scans every 4 weeks anyway, and have been into triage with needless panics a couple of times.

Springforward · 30/09/2012 18:55

I'm a bit Shock - tested yesterday as period was a day late, and test said 2-3 weeks! Last month was a bit, ahem, quiet in the bedroom so this was really not expected. Only DH knows in RL - not brave enough to tell anyone else this time until we've had a scan. Am trying very hard not to check knickers every 5 minutes.... I'm so hoping this doesn't turn into the 3rd mc.

littlepinkfizz · 30/09/2012 19:57

Wow spring !!fantastic news! Well done! Fingers x for a sticky one.

bonzo you must be feeling more relaxed now. That's a great stage to get to!

state you are a worrier!! No kicks needed-would some dairy milk do instead?

Great news wilde . Such a relief for you. What cycle was this for you. I'm on cycle 3 after mmc at 13 weeks. It's my 3rd mc but had ds in between no2 and3. Just not feeling positive at all that will ever get another BFP.

StateofConfusion · 30/09/2012 22:11

Congratulations spring I got my bfp after a 'quiet month' too :)

Dairy milk would be great pink :)

MarthasHarbour · 01/10/2012 09:16

backwardpossom · 01/10/2012 10:08

Wow spring congratulations! :)

wilde what brilliant news! Chuffed to bits for you!

Thanks for breakfast, martha - hope work isn't too bad!

I have midwife tomorrow, 17+3. Hoping to hear a heartbeat!

pebspop · 01/10/2012 10:31

hi everyone.

glad to hear your news wilde sounds like this is the one for you!!

good to hear you are feeling positive martha i think a positive attitude really helps.

congrats spring

i am feeling pretty good at the moment. in the 2nd tri now and feel like i am being really well looked after. really hoping this is my time! i daren't tell anyone about the pg though so i am keeping quiet. i don't want people to know when i am going to appointments or anything, it's far too scary. i feel like if i tell someone i might have to untell them and i hate doing that. would much rather keep it to myself for as long as i can.

littlepinkfizz · 01/10/2012 14:35

Martha missed breakfast ,darn! Glad youre feeling bright and positive!

pebs hang on in there, you've done well to get this far.Stick , little one, stick!

Keeping my fingers well and Truely x for October BFP although don't feel at all hopeful even though we managed to Dtd the day we got smiley.af due 13 th. stay away you witch Grin

Springforward · 01/10/2012 20:54

Thank you Smile just wish I could relax about it - am going to GP later this week to get into MW system etc., and was kind of hoping they might agree to an early scan. Is this likely after only 2 MCs, or is that only for people who've had 3 or more, do you know? Still haven't told a soul apart from DH, and don't think I will, this time.

MumTumWanted · 01/10/2012 21:02

Congrats spring and Wilde great news Smile

Pebs 2nd tri well done you Smile

Martha to say I'm overawed by your positivity doesn't even come close well done you, I honestly find you inspirational and have everything crossed for your next ttc journey x

Pinkfizz same goes Hun fingers are well and truly crossed x

Afm. I finally bit the bullet and booked my 'booking in spot with the midwife. It's on Friday Confused tbh I got reet told off on the phone they were [shocked] when I told them I was 10+ 3 today oops I will officially be bang on 11 weeks on Friday !
Tbf though I think what's helped me is the Doppler. If I've sneezed funny and had a pain or not felt sick ALL day basically every time I've had a metal I've got that out in the evening and it's helped lessen the metalling. Just had another little listen and dh came in so it got the better of him so he had a listen into he looked fascinated (read grinning like a crazy man snatching doppler off me and have a play all over my tum amazed at the different speed of mine then the beans hb!) and then a little hurt that I'd not shown him beforeHmm yet he was the one that declared my crackers for buying it in the first place men eh?!? didn't stop him squeezing on the gel and havin a listen for his own though eitherBlush

Retro sweets anyone I can't seem to get enough of them

Dorita75 · 02/10/2012 07:05

Good luck today backwardpossum hope you hear a lovely strong heartbeat Smile

mumtum can you ring epu? Mine told me not to waste money on private scan next time, that they'd do one if I was worried, that was Liverpool women's.

Lots of pgs on thread now, so exciting, good luck to everyone else dtd this month!

Mushrooms on toast for brekkie anyone?

Dorita75 · 02/10/2012 07:07

woody17 · 02/10/2012 09:00

Hi everyone

Did anyone find that they ov a bit earlier than normal after an early mc?

MarthasHarbour · 02/10/2012 09:11

woody i actually found my OV was later than usual after my late MC, i cant remember after the early ones.

pebs i will be terrified to tell anyone if i get PG again, i plan to leave it as long as possible too, i think you will probably get away with it for another couple of weeks.

i bumped into a nice lady on the tram last night, she is someone i chat to occasionally and i told her a few weeks ago i was PG. i had my big coat on so she couldnt see my belly. She asked me how long i had left at work Sad i had to tell her and she was mortified. I found it easier though, how shit is it that i am finding it less stressful to tell people i lost my baby. It shouldnt be something you just mention but i am at that point now Sad

I havent a clue when to test, or expect AF. Is it four weeks after i lost my li'l boy or four weeks after bleeding stops? I got OV pains about 10 days after bleeding stopped but who knows - i may just sit tight for another couple of weeks.

dorita chuck us in an egg with those mushrooms on toast and you have a deal Wink

mumtum consider your wrist well and truly slapped - i couldnt wait 11 weeks to book in but that is just me (are you a North Easterner by the way 'reet' is a geordie phrase i fall into every now and again!)

littlepink i would say we were cycle buddies if i wasnt in the WTF cycle! Grin good luck and FX

good luck today possum Smile
