Hi, thought I'd start the new thread. This is a brilliant thread for anyone trying to conceive or who has got a bfp after mc, full of lovely ladies, fab advice and a lovely place to metal, so called because someone said metal instead of mental and the rest is history......

Hi all,
I'm in Tallinn so it's chocolate covered marzipan on offer today....help yourselves...

Congrats to miggle and cheese I've got everything crossed for you.

I've given up alcohol since last month, was getting in the habit of just drinking when I felt like it, more little and often than binges, and decided to cut it out as I feel I'm doing all I can. This is despite my friend who went for fertility treatment saying her consultant said it didn't make much difference! I suppose you've got to go with your instincts sometimes. I've cut down on tea & caffeine due to a cracking migraine the other week, but can't hurt to stick with it, actually like redbush tea more now than when I 'had' to drink it before mmc.

Hope your day has gone ok Martha

Hello to everyone else!

Gushgate was me midge after my pprom before Blush You're so close now, especially going early - I was just impressed DD2 came on time rather than keeping me waiting like DD1 did. Sounds like you have lots of options though which is fab, what is the reason for it, does that make a difference to your metalling? I was lucky in that they left me alone after I managed to carry to 24 weeks.

aww fluttery kicks backward how lovely

you sound like you're bearing up ok martha but you don't have to - you could be a puddle on the floor and we'd still support every grieving or metalling moment Thanks it's nothing you did. And you know I was upduffed again weeks after we lost mini-toe and I am feeding DD2 as I type. Not saying her pregnancy was easy but nothing is that's worth doing, right? everything crossed for your DTDing.....

StateofConfusion · 25/09/2012 16:57

Evening all just a quick hello from me.

Having dd in nursery and ds in school seems to take over my --mning time-- life.

Wrigglers movements feel different, its more movements like rumbles these days or hard pushes than the kicks, that's normal right? Almost 28wks so guessing the room for the previous gymnastics is getting restricted.

woody17 · 25/09/2012 20:13

Hello all

I hope that you are all ok.

I've decided to cut out caffeine completely - I don't drink tea or coffee, unless I'm near a starbucks or something, so I'm only really giving up diet coke and diet red bull, which I used to drink quite a lot of. As for alcohol, I'm going to have the odd glass of wine and stop the binges when I go out.

Dorita75 - chocolate coveed marzipan sounds amazing!

lurcherlover · 25/09/2012 21:01

Evening all. Quick waves to cheese - we have talked on other threads - congratulations on the bfp! Yey for backward and those little flutters. martha, you're being so brave. state, sounds like everything is progressing nicely.

As for me, in 48 hours I will know if I am still pregnant or not...private scan booked for thurs evening (I'm not entitled to an NHS reassurance one). I should be ten weeks if all is well. No reason to think there's a problem, but then I didn't have any suspicions last time when it was a mmc so I'm not going to believe everything is find until I see a real live wriggler in there. So nervous though, I feel sick...

lotsofcheese · 25/09/2012 21:10

Hello Lurcher, yes I remember we were on the 40+ pregnancy thread & fell off the bus around the same time Sad

I still use the 40+ conception thread - not feeling brave enough to join the pregnancy one yet...

Miscarriages make you lose faith in your body & strip away confidence. I have very low expectations this time, and I feel far better psychologically for this - I don't expect things to go right!

Will be crossing everything for you on Thursday x

lurcherlover · 25/09/2012 21:25

Nah, I'm a spring chicken me - only 30! I think it was a thread about messed-up cycles post-mc perhaps?

lotsofcheese · 25/09/2012 22:28

Ahem!! Apologies for adding a decade on to your age! Blush

Clearly baby-brain has set in already!

The messed-up-cycles after m/c thread sounds familiar!

StateofConfusion · 25/09/2012 23:50

As per usual, I say I'm anxious about movements and wriggler goes loopy the rest of the day! This child already runs rings around me!

Best of luck with the scan lurcher i remember feeling how your feeling all too well! X

pebspop · 26/09/2012 09:46

good luck with the scan lurcher.

i am mettaling today as i have my nt scan tomorrow and apart from worrying about whether the baby still has a heartbeat or not i am panicing about the risk of something being wrong with the baby. i know the chances are everything will be ok but i can't help worrying. i am 32 so not really high risk for downs.

fingers crossed everything will be ok.

StateofConfusion · 26/09/2012 10:32

Fingers crossed for you pebs I forgot all about the reasons for my scans I was so obsessed with is the heart beating, that when I laid down suddenly I remembered all the other hurdles wriggler had to leap, I never metal harder than in the scanning room. I'll be thinking of you x

pebspop · 26/09/2012 11:01

thanks state i know the heartbeat has been my main focus so far but now i am really worrying about everything else that can go wrong as well.

just praying everything is ok tomorrow. the next few weeks will be very stressful for me as well as i have mc'd twice after the nt scan (when everyone tells you it will all be fine...lying buggers)

StateofConfusion · 26/09/2012 13:31

The metalling never ends does it pebs ill keep everything crossed for you though xx

woody17 · 26/09/2012 19:32

lurcher really hope that your scan goes well tomorrow.

pebspop I hope that you're scan goes well as well.

Polka2 · 26/09/2012 19:54

Sorry I've been absent ladies, been lurking but trying very hard not to obsess/post too much?!

Very good luck with the scans ladies, hoping they bring you the reassurance you deserve Wink

icequeenkate · 26/09/2012 19:57

pebs and lurcher really hope your scans go well tomorrow. You are right. The metalling never stops.

martha hope that going back to work hasn't been too bad. Am keeping my fingers tightly crossed for you and your DH in this wtf cycle.

Hi to everyone else. AFM, now 23 wks edging towards viability

StateofConfusion · 26/09/2012 20:21

Best of luck pebs and lurcher x

Woohoo for kate 24wks is a big milestone :)

JaffaSnaffle · 27/09/2012 07:14

pebs and lurcher, good luck today. Thinking of both of you. All scans are tough. Hope you both have morning ones so you don't have to metal on all day.

Martha, I hope this first week back at work is going ok.

Well, AFM, I struggled for a few days after my fall, because I was really stiff and sore. I am better now, but very stressed about my impending house move. We joined a chain late, months ago, were told they were all ready to go, and only yesterday we found the completion day can be no earlier than 25 October. I'm due on 6 Nov, and DD was 2 weeks early. It's going to be very strained. Only good thing is we are renting our current house so we don't have to be out on moving day... On top of this is the usual metalling. I'm still worrying about whether I have enough movements. And I'm 34 weeks.

Jollyb · 27/09/2012 08:03

Hope all goes well with your scans today pebs and lurcher.

Martha - hope the week's going OK.

Kate - 23 weeks yay!

Jollyb · 27/09/2012 08:13

Jaffa - you never know this baby may surprise you and come on time or late. Can see why you're stressing though. May be worth paying for a removal company that do the packing too (or recruiting lots of helpful family and friends!).

Dorita75 · 27/09/2012 08:31

Good luck today pebs and lurcher May this stage of metalling pass calmly and positively x
