Hi, thought I'd start the new thread. This is a brilliant thread for anyone trying to conceive or who has got a bfp after mc, full of lovely ladies, fab advice and a lovely place to metal, so called because someone said metal instead of mental and the rest is history......

What can I say...I had a new toy Grin

backwardpossom · 21/09/2012 19:14

pebs great news on the scan, I am measuring ahead of where I think I could be - 16 weeks today? If that's true, I was having sex during my period and that's not really for me...! Also, unlikely to have ovulated then... Hmm

Martha thinking of you, am so glad you're feeling upbeat! X

buzzybeetop · 21/09/2012 20:41

I know what you mean Martha all of the lovely pregnancy stories on here are definitely making me feel more positive about the future.
Pebs great news on your scan. I've read back through the thread a bit and thought you had a fantastic attitude in the early days. I'm so glad it's working out for you.
Haven't told many people about my mcs but met with a friend today and she told me she'd had 2 mcs this year so obviously then told her about my 2. It was so good to talk to her about it and realise she'd been through so many of the same things...being horrible to dh sometimes in the aftermath, guilt at jealousy felt over friends pregnancy announcements etc. Made me wonder why we're not a bit more open about these things. We could so easily have been sitting there talking about everything except what a shit time we'd both really been having. If people talked about it we'd realise how common it really is.

StateofConfusion · 22/09/2012 11:30

buzzy whilst its rotten you've both had losses, how lovely to have someone who really gets it and to support one another. And I couldn't agree more, without mumsnet I'd have never have known of anyone else having a mmc, I felt so weird and alone. The taboo certainly needs lifting.

Afm, well I've done it, I've finally reached the third trimester! Grin

woody17 · 22/09/2012 15:51

Hi everyone

Hope you are all ok.

I have mc again. This time it was very early - I'm only 5 weeks pg. Bleeding started today and quickly progressed to passing clots. Did a pg test this morning before it all started, which was +ve. Just did another one and it was -ve. It seems that everything has happened very quickly.

Does anyone know if that might have been a chemical pg? I've been spotting since before I got the first +ve, although it was brown stuff I was spotting.

That's now been 2 consecutive mc since July. I really hope that it is third time lucky for me.

MarthasHarbour · 22/09/2012 17:59

oh woody i am so sorry Sad i think you have had a chemical pregnancy, the same thing happened to me twice last year, the second time i did a test and 2 hours later i started bleeding. If the clots continue i would go to your GP to get checked out.

MarthasHarbour · 22/09/2012 18:04

woohoo to state 3rd trimester eh? when are you due?

Well DH and moi DTD last night! Grin i was really nervous as i thought i would psychologically freeze up but no it was lovely Smile so here i am - a fully fledged 3rd time member of the thread! Hmm Grin as i am in the WTF cycle i havent a clue where i am. However, if we date it from the day i had Jack (8th) then this weekend is spot on. But if we date it from when i stopped bleeding (2 days ago) then WTF!!

jaffa i forgot that you conceived in the WTF cycle, how did you know when to test? did you give it a month from your MC?

anyone else conceive in the WTF cycle? i know there are a few on this thread. sorry i am getting a bit obsessed/metalling already!

MumTumWanted · 22/09/2012 18:52

Yay for dtd Martha x

Woody I to am sorry. Know h may not feel like it but I would recommend going to the gp anyhow . We all know that they won't investigate rmc until you have had 3 recurrent ones so i think it's best to get them registered iyswim Hmm look after yourself hun x

JaffaSnaffle · 22/09/2012 19:31

Martha, I tested 9 or 10 days post-OV. I had really strong ov signs, (loads of pink tinged ewcm, horny as hell Blush ), and I did an opk which was positive. So that gave me a marker. And we only dtd once that cycle because we had guests in the crucial time, and I always feel a bit weird shagging with other people in the house... Think I was very lucky tbh, although my body was practically shouting at me to give it a go...

MarthasHarbour · 22/09/2012 20:49

jaffa everything you have just said is how i am feeling - minus the OPK. I was horny as anything last night and now have pink ewcm rather than blood. FX last night did the trick as we are both too shattered tonight! Might need to miss Downton Abbey for some SWI tomorrow! Wink

StateofConfusion · 22/09/2012 21:35

I'm due 22nd dec but wriggler will be delivered anytime from 38wks as its my 3rd csec.

Sounds promising martha best of luck. I got this bfp the month we only dtd twice, and my cycle was a bit wtf then.

Jollyb · 22/09/2012 21:46

Oh woody - sorry to hear your news. The boundary between a chemical pregnancy/miscarriage is quite blurred and I suppose doesn't really exist. There isn't a medical definition. Sometimes it makes me feel better to think of my first MC as a chemical pregnancy and then other times I feel that is understating it.

Anyhow I'm digressing. Please look after yourself. Hope to see you reporting another BFP very soon x

JaffaSnaffle · 22/09/2012 22:00

FX Martha, pink ewcm is meant to be super fertile. X

StateofConfusion · 23/09/2012 10:43

I've just had all my positivity kicked out of me, had a really awful dream that the baby hadn't moved for hours and I started bleeding went to a+e and they couldn't find a heartbeat, I woke up then as wriggler was kicking me thankfully but I just can't shake that feeling, I want to cry but it seems so ridiculous

littlepinkfizz · 23/09/2012 12:14

According to mumsnet ov calendar my fertile days start tomorrow. If we manage to do it 2 or 3 times during this days , do you think that may be enough? Here's hoping.

Very sorry again woody. You will get a lovely welcome on the October bus and maybe a delicious hot double choc chip muffin( homemade,of course) served with big dollop of ice cream .

We will just keep going til we get a BFP that sticks x [ hugs]

littlepinkfizz · 23/09/2012 12:17

state come out of that mosh pit immediately and eat your muffin before it gets cold! babystate is fine and asks mummy for a tiny piece of muffin! It was just a normal anxiety dream where your fears are being expressed. That's all. Nothing more . And nowt to worry about state, honest xxxx

woody17 · 23/09/2012 13:12

Thanks - hopefully it'll be third time lucky. I just knew something wasn't right with this one from the start - it didn't feel right. I can't really explain it in words. I think that when I get my hcg levels from the blood test I had on Friday, it will have been very low.

So it's back to ttc - hopefully it'll be third time lucky. I've heard that you're very fertile when you've just had a mc and I've already got the -ve result so hopefully I'll ov soon.

Do you think I should count yesterday (first day of bleeding and first day of -ve test result) as cd1?

littlepinkfizz · 23/09/2012 13:33

Being positive is the only way forward woody and finding something else to distract you- I'm currently trying to train our 6 mth old boxer! Its not easy but look at this month positively as another great chance x

StateofConfusion · 23/09/2012 15:16

Thanks littlepink it was one of those dreams where when you wake up it takes a minute or so to work out what's real and isn't luckily babystate gave me a kick so I was reassured!

Good luck to you and woody try not to panic too much about dates, jan and feb I made dp dtd every day, sometimes twice and nothing, march I gave up dtd twice on seemingly useless days wrt ov etc, and got a bfp a few weeks later!

littlepinkfizz · 23/09/2012 15:54

Oh that's reassuring state. I know quite a lot about dreams so be comforted that it's nothing to worry about. If your like me though, the dream kind of stays with you all day, like a bad hangover! X

StateofConfusion · 23/09/2012 16:00

Thanks pink it has been lingering but the baby wriggling makes me snap out of it.

Daisybell1 · 23/09/2012 18:53

Hello all again,

I'm trying to catch up on your news but I hope you're all well.

Nearing the end of the 2ww here but think this month has passed me by. Very weak ov symptoms and no pg signs either.

So, on to next month and trying not to panic.

MiggleMoo · 23/09/2012 19:12

Hello all,
I was pointed in this direction as I have a bit of a question?
I have just found out I am pregnant after 3 MCs (all early and all back to back). cue very anxious and worried mummy expecting the worst!
I am having my bloods monitored and everythng looks good, however when my Dr spoke to the hospital they recommended I take 75mg Aspirin a day until at least 12 weeks. This is fine and I have gone off dutifully and purchased some but I am cautious at taking something when I don't why or to what affect?
I am healthy, don't drink or smoke, probably carrying a couple extra pounds but not a lot, previous to my MCs I have a very healthy ds with no problems - have they spotted a problem now - can anyone please fill in the blanks?
Thanks in advance!

MumTumWanted · 23/09/2012 19:31

Hey miggle. The aspirin causes no ill effects but may just help . Some ladies have sticky blood. This can be diagnosed with blood tests which you may have previously had Hmm . The aspirin it self thins the blood slightly this helps as a means less chance of a blood clot forming in the placenta and possibly then preventing the placenta doing what it should ending in mc. I'm 9 weeks and have been taking the aspirin since 4 weeks and my consultant has advised I take it through to 22 weeks. Hth it's really nothing to worry about but may just make the difference Smile good luck x

StateofConfusion · 23/09/2012 19:42

Welcome to the mosh pit miggle x
