OP posts:

Just wanted to say that I heard from kick by email who says....

Quick update - they did my hba1c about 3 weeks ago and it was 6.7%. They said I coudl hump! Which was great because I ovulated the next month. Took the usual array of pills, DH's pills, humped (get this) 4 times in two days - the day I OVed and the next day. So first cycle since my diabetes is under control and I fell pregnant.

Just so you know, I took 1000mg EPO up until the day I OVed, I took Zinc, Folic Acid and a Pregnacare. I also ran a bit and drank a glass of alkaline powder at night and tested my PH. I read that your PH needs to be 7.5 to conceive so did everything to get my PH to 7.5 or above. My husband took Wellman Conception and Zinc as well, and ran with me :D

Thanks for the update on kick swimming can't believe she is pregnant already, really pleased for her, god knows she had a rubbish time.

Hmmm ph testing? How do you do that

winkle2 · 18/09/2012 10:02

That's fab news re Kick ? really pleased for her. Please pass on my congratulations.

Thanks pear for the tips, I might try that next month as hubby as 1% sperm morphology (although the docs did say that shouldn't affect conception). think about it though, this month we only DTD 3 times and that was around OV which is kinda what you're suggesting?.

I'm def trying the soy next month kitty!!!! It says it increases the chances of twins too eeeek

Also interested in ph testing if anyone has the info?.

FrustratedSycamorePants · 18/09/2012 10:04

Yay!! For kick!!!!

Kittenkatzen · 18/09/2012 10:11

HA when maybe you can get litmus paper lined undies from somewhere?! :o

Wow, well congratulations to kick then - she definitely did deserve a bit of luck.

winkle I have no useful advice, but just wanted to offer some hand holding :( I can't remeber, have you had any preliminary testing done yet?

Kittenkatzen · 18/09/2012 10:12

oops sorry xposts.

What's this soy stuff you guys are thinking about?

kittykatskumkwat · 18/09/2012 10:29

Pass on my congrats to kick, maybe comming off mn worked for her aswell!!
Winkle- I'm tempted to do it with you then, I don't mind twins aghhhhh
I've read some take it days 3-7 or 5-9, I think I'd go for the later as my ov was usually later what did you think, I've looked online but wouldn't be sure which ones to buy or if I should just go to say holland and Barrett? Let me know what brand etc you think?

winkle2 · 18/09/2012 10:46

Thanks kitten. I've had my bloods taken and I had the pelvic scan. All is fine. My husband has low morphology but the docs said that shouldn't affect fertility but I'm beginning to think that it is. So we're both off the drinking starting from today. It will be worth it if I get pregnant.

The soy stuff we are talking about is called soy isoflavones ? google soy isoflavones and TTC and there are loads of success stories (although seeing as I have tried everything else, why should this work?)

I'm going to take it CD 3-7? it's well expensive in Holland & Barratt! I might try and get it from Amazon. Apparently it's only a fiver in Tesco but I'm not sure a Tesco shop till Friday. Hmmm that will be CD4 so perhaps I could start it then?.

RIBS · 18/09/2012 13:20

Hi all.
Ive not died!! Ive been busy with all manner of things. Plus I think that coming on here so often was feeding my stress about it all. So I hope you dont mind if I just check in occasionally? Smile I promise to bring wine, cheese and viscount biscuits (had some yest with the wine and cheese, havent had any for a-g-e-s, they was divine!)

Im off the clomid and feel soooo much better, and think ive ov'd yesterday cd29. Which isnt too bad for me. I think the acupuncture is maybe helping.

I havent had time to have a proper catch up, but I was kind of hoping I wouldnt see any of you on here and you'd all buggered off to the upthe duff club! I hope the no booze and soy helps winkle. Why dont you have a look at the acupuncture thing? Its maybe worth a go?

Can anyone give me a quick round up of whats been happening? Have we had ANY bfps or good news other than Kicks???

weechops · 18/09/2012 13:54

Going to go mope in a corner for a while as I'm totally gutted :(

Dh work just told him he has to go back tomorrow for a week, then we will find out what the next contract is. Today is cd14 and I still haven't had a smiley. Last month it came cd16.

Do you think that there's maybe still a slim chance for me this month if we dtd tomorrow morning before he goes, then I get a smiley on Thursday?

Just feel a bit shitty as I thought it was a 'sign' he'd be home for ov as it looks likely he'll be away right up til march next year now. Ah bollocks off to eat galaxy counters!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 18/09/2012 14:05

Hi ribs nice to hear from you. Of course we don't mind if you only check now and then.

weechops don't be gutted. It could still work out. If you get a smiley on Thurs you should ovulate on Friday. So if you dtd on Wed you should be covered (they can hang around for 5 days). I think conception is most likely to occur if you dtd 48 hours before ov.

Thundercatsarego · 18/09/2012 14:06

Thanks for weechops. That sounds rubbish, poor you

But with my limited knowledge it totally sounds like that could work- I thought the little swimmers could hang around for a few days in there waiting for the guest of honour to arrive?

kittykatskumkwat · 18/09/2012 15:31

Hi ribs- was wondering where you'd buggered off too!!! Glad your feeling better and it's fine if you pop in
Weechops I think your still In, the smiley could even be tomorrow but if it's thur you may ov that day! I'd suggest dtd as late as you can before he goes, winkle, tinkle and no baths till your sure you've ovd, it's not good for keeping swimmers alive

kittykatskumkwat · 18/09/2012 16:10

Its my naughty side but I'd love to ask kick if she had any symptoms Wink

RIBS · 18/09/2012 16:39

hahaha Kitty!

What a bugger weechop. Dont suppose you've got any Conceive plus or something, its supposed to make them last longer.

Kittenkatzen · 18/09/2012 16:44

:o kitty

Hi ribs, lurk away, glad you're feeling better off the clomid, it really didn't seem to agree with you did it?!

Ahh weechops, that sucks :( I think you're definitely still in with a chance though, so don't completely give up hope just yet.

Any of you guys happen to have plans to come to London next Wednesday? There's a little MN meet up happening which I've signed up for. Am slightly terrified now!

kittykatskumkwat · 18/09/2012 17:04

Just had a text pregnancy announcement, oh how I needed that today like a kick in the teeth!!

FrustratedSycamorePants · 18/09/2012 17:07

Delete the number kitty [mean emoticon]

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 18/09/2012 18:07

I know what you mean kitty re kick and symptoms.

Your next post was less funny. Pregnancy announcements, there's nothing worse.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 18/09/2012 18:08

Obviously I don't include you guys.

SunshineOutdoors · 18/09/2012 18:10

Wow! Dead pleased about kick. That's made me happy!

swimmingnotdrowning · 18/09/2012 18:29

wine, cheese and viscount biscuits - a combo I shall have to try sometime in the name of research....

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 18/09/2012 18:44

I've tried Stilton and chocolate. It actually works (sort of).

FrustratedSycamorePants · 18/09/2012 18:45

Orange or mint vicount biscuits? And red or white wine? got to be worth a try

winkle2 · 18/09/2012 19:49

I'm on the maltesers again...
