Greetings sisters [puts flowers in hair]

Bring your very best woo & let's see if we can magick up a few baybees (insta-differs not allowed).

New recruits are required to locate the BESH spell aka the BESHtionnaire and submit for further scrutiny.

People might moan about us i.e. me and MrA deciding to go away at Christmas because I'm a bit stressed. Do you know what's causing your SIL's stress, Euro? Because at the moment I don't even care about inflicting inconvenience and offence on other people if it means I can have a less stressful Christmas :(

Sinky, that poor woman. Why is the Universe so shit sometimes?

Northey · 28/09/2012 16:01

How completely and utterly dreadful. Poor, poor woman. And her partner. How awful. I can't even imagine.

I am quite possibly going to offend some people this Christmas, rie. Depending on what they might want the family to do. And although I would prefer not to have to hurt/offend them, I don't think that will stop me from doing what will make me happiest this year. Whatever that might be.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 28/09/2012 16:24

Hear bloody hear.

Where can we have the BESH commune then? Actually wouldn't it be fun if we rented a big cottage in Dorset by a pub and brought our cats?

eurochick · 28/09/2012 17:53

Oh fvking hell, sinky that is dreadful. The poor thing. My close friend who had twins had a very complicated pregnancy (loads of bleeding, twin to twin transfusion syndrome and then her waters went at 31 weeks) but the boys made it. It has rather put me off multiples though. When I was planning my IVF cycle, the dr said that after 35, you can choose to have two put back. The words "Ionlywantone" were out of my mouth before he had finished his sentence.

I would feel guilty about MIL spending Xmas on her own. So unless she goes to her sister's or something, we will end up inviting her. It's just not fair. SIL is "highly strung" and gets away with bloody murder as a result. Harrumph. It's not really fair on the MIL either - they have a toddler as well as an older child of SIL, so MIL will be missing out on that. Rie as far as I know, the stress comes from having horrible PMS. I have some sympathy. Only every time I get horrible PMS, as well as turning me into a mentalist, it means yet again I have failed to win a bloody baybee. BIL and SIL know about our troubles. BIL is lovely. The problem is he will give into SIL for an easy life.

I don't want us to go away for Xmas. I like Xmas at home. And we usually have my parents over. The difference is that they come for the afternoon (they live about a 15 min drive away). MIL comes for a week. Or at least she did last year.

sinkyroselee · 29/09/2012 08:36

Morning ladies.

Sounds like you're going to end up doing the "right thing" my dear euro. Could you some how limit the vist then? Might be a lot more enjoyable if finite!

Currently curled up in bed. The droid finally arrived last night at cd 85, and was woken this morning at 7 with cramps. But strangely pleased- at least my mood/sex drive might improve a bit.

Now, exercise helps cramps. Id planned to go running. Do I still do it - manup, get into the Lycra and tell myself it'll be worth it. Or do I stay in bed and send the boy out to get milk for my tea?

HaveALittleFaith · 29/09/2012 08:44

Cd1 sinky? You stay in bed and get tea brought to you! Run later or tomorrow :) sorry in some ways droid has arrived but at the same time like you say, things might improve a bit for you!

WinklyFriedChicken · 29/09/2012 10:44

Tea in bed with a hot water bottle sinky - boo to evil cramps. Hope the better mood kicks in soon :)

eurochick · 29/09/2012 11:24

sinky Droid arrived yesterday for me too. So I'm on cycle 24 now.

I've never found that exercise helps cramps. I always thought that was a myth dreamed up by PE teachers who have never experienced period pains. When I get cramps, I can barely stand up straight and drag myself from room to room, let alone anything else. This should be a running morning for me too, but it is postponed until tomorrow at least.

I just had my first lie in for at least 2 month - bliss.

WinklyFriedChicken · 29/09/2012 11:35

I can feel the droid approaching :(

My boobs are eeeeeenormous and I think I can even see little blue stretch marks. So super sore - I think my run this afternoon will involve me holding on to myself. Nice.

Northey · 29/09/2012 11:39

Bastard droids. Sympathy to sufferers. Tea and lie-ins for all. Dr Northey says so.

I must start running again. I just tried on an old ball dress, wondering if it would do as a wedding dress (clothes-shopping-phobic? Me?) and it got nowhere near to going over my hips. Four months ago it fit me perfectly. Shit.

sinkyroselee · 29/09/2012 12:40

Droidal invasions all round. How delightful.

Sympathies with the dress shrinkage Norf.

Didn't go running. In fact, am not washed or dressed yet. Have had 3 cups of tea though. And picked out what I'm going to cook tonight once I've hauled my arse to the supermarket. On my own to going to treat myself- slow braised pork with cider and parsnip I think. In keeping with the autumnal weather. That or a chicken biryani recipe I'm eyeing up. Always a bit scared of all the spices needed for indian thought. And suspect most of mine might be a touch less fragrant than they were a few years ago...

Northey · 29/09/2012 12:46

All the more reason to use them up, sink. Just double up the quantities of them all and I'm sure it'll be fine...

I am making a Seville orange tart to take to dinner tonight and it is all going wrong! It is too sour and not setting :(

WinklyFriedChicken · 29/09/2012 13:19

I am Envy of your foods. I am at work and had a crappy sandwich for lunch and it will be oven pizza for dinner. With my heavily pregnant friend. Yay.

sinkyroselee · 29/09/2012 13:23

Feeble yay...

Going to shower now. I think I've wallowed enough now.

Northey · 29/09/2012 13:35

Don't be jealous of mine, winkle. It looks awful - like orange flavoured scrambled eggs. I can't cut into it to see if it is dire all the way through, so I am now panicking and thinking about running out to the shops and making something else.

God I am so stressed and tense (about everything, not just this). I feel like a nutcase - all jittery and weird.

WinklyFriedChicken · 29/09/2012 13:45

Hmm perhaps not so jealous then. Can't you just cheat and hit Marks, give yourself a break?

It's not surprising you feel jittery and tense, goodness knows you've had enough to put up with lately.

WinklyFriedChicken · 29/09/2012 13:47

My last post reads like I want you to go out assaulting people called Mark. Don't do that unless you think it would help

Northey · 29/09/2012 13:50

It is for AMNH's boss, that's partly why I want it to go well. If it were friends of mine I would just laugh it off and apologise if it was horrid when we cut it. But I don't know these people, and it is all so WOE.

I really think I might start again. I have a ready made tart case and some mango purée. I'm sure I can concoct something.

I have no idea why I am in such a state about this.

WinklyFriedChicken · 29/09/2012 13:55

Because you're not in a state about the tart, not really. It's just the straw breaking your back. Good strong Brew and a deep breath, get out that case and make something delicious.

WinklyFriedChicken · 29/09/2012 14:06

Mango brandy custard tart?

sinkyroselee · 29/09/2012 16:31

Hope you worked something out.

It seems sainsbos doesn't sell diced pork. Only roast joints which wasn't quite what I was looking for. Already picked up the rest of the ingredients though, so it's chicken and leek tonight and maybe tother if/when I can face tescos.

Wild times in the sinky household.

Northey · 29/09/2012 16:38

I sobbed in bed for a bit and then knuckled down and made a mango mousse tart. I may decorate it with raspberries. Or I may leave well enough alone...

Sorry for mental weirdness. You're right - it is just everything, really. Operation then drugs then grief. Then having to go backto work. Then stressing about wedding. Then tart WOE. Ugh.

WinklyFriedChicken · 29/09/2012 16:54

Ugh. You really do have a lot on your plate. Hope the sobbing helped a bit. Sometimes its easier to let yourself have a breakdown over something small that doesn't matter much rather than trying to process the bigger issues

Grin

Well done on the mango mousse!

sinky I bloody hate Sainsbos, can never find what I want. Chicken and leeks sounds good.

I tried to go for a run after work but my super-boobs defeated my best sports bra and I had to admit defeat. DH saw them as I got changed and said "WOW". Apparently they've never been so big.

HaveALittleFaith · 29/09/2012 17:38

Sorry for the droid/impending droid/cooking woes. Not a fun time!

I never go to Sainsbos, the nearest one to us is the wrong side of town and too large to contemplate!

WinklyFriedChicken · 29/09/2012 18:01

I think I might be losing the plot.

I poas'd just now and I think I might have convinced myself that if I tilted it at the light then I could see the faintest hint of a shadow of a line. I've not hallucinated a line any other time I've poas'd but wonder if my eyes or mind or both are playing tricks. Now I need to sit patiently until Monday so I can try again, don't I?

Please slap me for getting my hopes up :(
