Greetings sisters [puts flowers in hair]

Bring your very best woo & let's see if we can magick up a few baybees (insta-differs not allowed).

New recruits are required to locate the BESH spell aka the BESHtionnaire and submit for further scrutiny.

[dances round bare foot]

Hello al. Does it warm the cockles of your heart, seeing all the shiny innocent faces and new blazers?

AMNH very maturely phoned me back and was very contrite and promised to be there constantly until I indicate I am happy for him to go away and do a press up or trot round the block or whatever it is he wants to do. I gulped and snotted and was ultimately gracious and forgiving.

So. I am pretty certain I will have the methotrexate tomorrow, then head off to Wales and be there till next weekend's follow up blood test.

And now I will shut up about me for a while.

FrankelSaysRelax · 09/09/2012 22:15

Whatever you do Norf don't bottle things up. We all have our mememe moments, it's what this thread is for.
Glad that AMNH is stepping up, he'd have had a troupe of angry BESH on his doorstep if he hadn't Wink

[slaps norf with a salmon fillet using one hand; distracts her from a hug given by the other hand]

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 09/09/2012 22:39

Meant to say much much more than YANBU by the way. Sorry, but an overflowing pan called. It was basically what sinky said. I'm glad he has pulled his finger out. Remember, it is allowed at the moment for you to be as mememe as you want. You have had the shittest of times.

sinkyroselee · 09/09/2012 22:43

Meemeemee away norf. Let's face it, the BESH exist to allow us to have those moment with people who can understand, even just a little bit, and allow us to not drive our nearest and dearest crazy with our whittering.

At least, that's why I hang out here.

That and the lentils and basket weaving.

JethroTull · 10/09/2012 06:36

Sinky put it very eloquently. I concur. Norf you are allowed to be mememe in The Palais. That's why it's here.

Overflowing pan makes me think of this story about a porridge pot. It overflowed. My mum used to read it to me when I was little. Anyone else? Anyone?

Northey · 10/09/2012 07:31

Oh vaguely. Though in my head it is slightly mixed up with that enormous pancake that rolled through the town.

Northey · 10/09/2012 07:32

So what is next for you, sunnyJethro? I have got a bit lost. Do you start drugs next cycle?

JethroTull · 10/09/2012 07:55

The one after next. Now that we are going to have Array CGH they need to do my Karyotype report (genetic picture thing) and that takes 2 weeks. We waited for 12 weeks for the same thing on SSG on the NHS. I'm amazed how quickly things happen at a private clinic.

HaveALittleFaith · 10/09/2012 08:24

jeffers I know what you mean. My Granny was in agony with her hip, 8 month waiting list on NHS, done with 2 privately. Same surgeon! But of course they have less patients...I wish I'd thought about getting my dyno-rod op done privately so I wouldn't be on loads of pain killers now but hey I didn't know I'd actually get diffed...

norf I'm quite happy to talk about you. I agree, Tis what we're here for and is effectively a form of therapy. I dunno where I'd be now without the BESH.

FrankelSaysRelax · 10/09/2012 10:29

How are you this morning Norf?

OP posts:
Northey · 10/09/2012 11:11

Fine thanks, superhorse. I phoned the hospital this morning and said I'd go ahead with the methotrexate. Just waiting for them to call back and say the dose is ready...

In the meantime I have flung myself into ferocious and not at all psychologically significant planting of bulbs.

KatAndKit · 10/09/2012 11:53

Just checking in to see what is happening

So sorry you are still going through such shitness norf it is all absolutely horrid.
And also very sorry for your loss lemony :(

jeffers yes I remember the magic porridge pot! Glad you are finally getting the wheels in motion for starting the ICSI - you have been waiting such a long time for this.

News from me - I is getting married! probably this time next year.

FrankelSaysRelax · 10/09/2012 12:07

Oooo, congrats Kat Grin

Norf we're all here, whenever you need us.

I am having lunch with my updiffed BF today, she has 4 weeks to go [eek]. Let's see if I manage not to cry this time!

OP posts:
fertilityFTW · 10/09/2012 12:49

How's lemony today?

What bulbs are you planting Norf? Just planted some narcissi last week, it's my mum's favourite flower.

Been having cramps lower abdomen, boobs are sore in the 'here comes the droid' kinda way. As per usual I wonder if it's actually a different kind of cramp and a different kind of sore boobness. Been really hoping since 'people' always say they get updiffed as they await their fertility appt - and mine's, not Tuesday as I thought, but on Thursday - so I have two more days in which to get news of updiffity before 'people' get proved wrong. Guess having droid around means naice laydee doctur cannot probe and prod much. So much for getting right on with it.

Northey · 10/09/2012 14:44

Ancient unidentifiable ones in unmarked pots full of dry grey earth, fuckthewhat (I hope that is what ftw stands for, by the way). I emptied them all out and settled them all in new pots of nice rich brown nourishing stuff.

Methotrexate is ready! A full three and a half hour after they told me it would be, but never mind that. Now just waiting for a doctor to come and administer it. In my bum.

Northey · 10/09/2012 14:45

frankie, how did the lunch go? I hope it was unexpectedly nice and unemotional.

eurochick · 10/09/2012 14:51

Hugs and fishslaps, norfy. I hope you are doing ok.

I am back in the office today after my travels. It is sh1t. But I just went out to see the Team GB parade, which was more fun than law.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 10/09/2012 14:59

Hello FTW, I too have an appt this week. Tomorrow akcherly! Was hoping to arrive and be told I was diffed but it is sadly impossible unlikely.

Do I have to plant bulbs now? And also is it too late for my sweet peas and tomatoes to miraculously burst forth? And finally, I am having rather good fun on this thread.

I'm watching the parade on the box. Isn't Sophie Christianson a sweetheart?

Northey · 10/09/2012 15:51

Tomorrow, aries?? What is happening at it? Good luck.

I have just had two arse injections (stop snigger please) and am waiting to see if I do a dramatic faint or anything. In fact I feel fine and am just sitting in the treatment room wondering if I can nick exciting looking equipment before the nurse comes back. I neeeeeed a massive stretchy bandage and length of plastic tubing!

FrankelSaysRelax · 10/09/2012 15:57

Lunch was nice thanks. No tears! [progress]

Friend has a teeny bump, you'd never think she was about to drop!

How's the arse now Norf? Wink sneaky ((hug))

Good luck for the appointment Rie. Is it of the "discussion" variety or a "let's get cracking/chopping/injecting/scanning" type?

OP posts:
Northey · 10/09/2012 16:05

The arse is fine, you pervert. Though they have just told me I have to stay for an hour, not twenty minutes. Gah.

Glad lunch went well.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 10/09/2012 16:55

I don't know. Should I know? I don't know. What should I ask?

It's the second one with the consultant. I have had all the tests now. I don't know my AMH level though - I will start by asking that.

Northey · 10/09/2012 17:59

You ask "where is my baybee, you bastard". They respect that.

What do you want them to give you? I would be on the alert to resist any suggestion of waiting a year to see what happens or anything awful like that.

The first thing they gave me was ovarian drilling. The second was Clomid. Unless your ovaries are polycystic they probably won't suggest the first, but they might try the second. Would that be something you want?

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 10/09/2012 18:04

I am on no account waiting a year to see what happens. No way, Jose. By then I will be 38 1/2 - time will definitely not be on my side.

Drilling my ovaries? With what, a Black and Decker? What the blazes is that? I don't have PCOS - in all appointments and peerings and proddings and blood takings so far, there has been no mention of that, as I have regular droids and apparently ovulate normally. If there is a no problem with actually laying an egg, but a problem with actual sperm meets egg, Clomid won't do anything will it?
