Just been seen. Need to go back tomorrow for repeat blood test. Assuming there wasn't a mix up at the lab, the options are 1) new pregnancy 2) heterotopic pregnancy of which one baby remains 3) persistent tissue from previous ectopic has started growing again.

Bloody hell, norf, that's a headfuck. What will you do for the rest of the day? Do you have any ways to distract yourself?

So not very helpful or clear at all then? What are the options to decide aside from the blood tests? Scan?

Basically, if tomorow's hcg is down, then we write it all off as a freak result. If it is up, then we scan (tomorrow if up a lot and Mon if up a little) to find out what it is/where it is and what we could do about it.

Headfuck is right, by the way. This is not helping what was otherwise a nicely progressing emotional recovery.

Yes you are correct FTWoo, way, way too early to get a clear progesterone. Should be (as close to) 7 days before the droid. I have one that was 5 days before and that was stupidly low. If your GP did it they are a bit rubbish to not have repeated it several times. The fertility clinic gave me a couple of blood test forms so I could go 7 days before my shortest cycle and 7 before my longest so they got the right reading Cla my cycles varied.

A couple of test forms! Wouldn't that have been helpful . Progesterone was 1 nmol/L. Expect now will have to while away another 2-3 months chasing AFs only to be told 'these are not the droids we're looking for!'

Well it would be low - you not even have ovulated yet! Mine was 15 5 days before droid. 28 was the highest which my consultant was happy with. Have you kept a list of cycle lengths? they wanted to see that at my first appointment.

Here, it is over. I think. Cramps, the first red blood, and I really fancy SB (skinny bint for the newbies), which I didn't so much when I had sky high hcg knocking about. Will still go for the scan and be blood-tested next week, to make sure that it was indeed it. It is the worst feeling I have experienced while TTC so have a new found sympathy for all the BESHes who have had to deal with this before. Hugs and I am not hitting anyone with fish (still enough hcg in the system to feel decidedly sick if I think of that).

Fuck, lemons, I am really, really sorry. What a pile of utter shit. It is like some hideous free-falling heart vacuum, isn't it? Have you called hospital about the bleeding? Should they know it's happening, evn if you stay at home and cope yourself?

From a practical point of view, have you found the practical tips for coping with misarriage thread in Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss? It looks quite helpful, in a grim but empathetic sort of way.
