TTC#1 - The difficult fifth thread: the one where we all get BFP!

DulcetMoans · 11/08/2012 21:38

Time to move over ladies. Would love to start this thread by announcing my BFP but unfortunately I can't because we all talk too much to get to test date!

All going for gold medals in baby-making and bound to get there soon, aren't we???

In theory I think you're meant to get less / drier or stickier CM in the 2WW.

I had copious amounts of creamy CM for mine last time, however, so that isn't true for everyone! Typically.

DulcetMoans · 30/08/2012 20:12

Well lets, if smiley is right I am about 6DPO but by usual timings I haven't even ov'd yet! Who knows what is going on. I only say symptoms knowing they aren't actually symptoms, haha. I honestly don't mean it! The Zita West book says CM continues until a few days before AF although there is likely to be less of it than before ov. No idea if it is different before pregnant though. I've notice I have no CM this week so not sure this means, if anything!

DulcetMoans · 30/08/2012 20:28

I knew writing that would bring on CM. haha. Hoping for a smiley in the morning now so I can truely write off the other one.

I'm thinking about banning myself from MN for a few days so if you don't hear from me for a little while then don't worry I'm still alive :)

NickiNockiNoodle · 30/08/2012 20:54

Noooo...why? :-(

Is it because of the other thread?

peardrop2 · 30/08/2012 20:58

Yeah I'm a bit upset. Had a bit of a cry when I got home from work and just think that a couple of days off from checking MN might do me some good. Won't be long.

NickiNockiNoodle · 30/08/2012 21:01

I'm sorry you're upset.

But until you have your scan you don't know what is or isn't happening. But I know you'll worry, as I would too.

Don't be long...we will miss you.

DulcetMoans · 30/08/2012 21:06

What did I miss? Don't leave us, we didn't do anything! Did we? Pear, NOOOOO!

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 30/08/2012 21:22

Thanks Nicola appreciate it. Don't worry Dulcet I'm not going for good :) just a mini break. I wouldn't have said anything but I think you would have noticed my lack of activity on here Grin Look forward to hearing about all your smiley news next week ;)

Lolcbcblemonlime · 30/08/2012 21:26

Noooooo newbie/pear! Who has upset you? Angry
Will miss you. Pls don't be upset!! Come
Back!
What happened? Seems I miss stuff even if I log in -twenty-- a few times a day!

NickiNockiNoodle · 31/08/2012 06:32

Morning!

CD15 and still no surge. Here's to tomorrow. :-/

NickiNockiNoodle · 31/08/2012 07:20

Oh...it's my engagement anniversary today :-)

6 weeks tomorrow I'll be a Mrs!

LisaC2611 · 31/08/2012 07:34

Cd 18 for me and no Smile def think cb sticks have missed it this month. Will find out on 10 September.

How long have you been engaged nic?

NickiNockiNoodle · 31/08/2012 08:00

Only a year! I don't believe in long engagements. :-)

Are you doing the CB trial, Lisa? Would be funny if we both got up duffed with no surge!

10th Sept is my nephew's birthday.

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 31/08/2012 08:01

Not long now Nic!! I got married last year, still get goosepimples thinking about it!! It was fantastic!!
My only tip is don't let anyone lace up ur dress to tight (if ur dress has a lace up back!) I nearly threw up after canapies and missed the wedding breakfast due to feeling like I was going to pass out!!

The smiley faces u are waiting for - are they the cb conception sticks that look like the cb pregnancy tests? Hope you get ur peaks soon!!

I'm going to see a really good friend today for lunch who's 11 wks pregnant & another friend is coming who has a little baby. I know all talk is going to be on baby talk, but although I'm so happy for both of them, I desperately want to be in that situation as well. Does that make me a bad friend??

NickiNockiNoodle · 31/08/2012 08:09

No, it makes you human, Raspberries! We all feel like that...then feel shit for it.

My dress is lace up, but I'll make sure my sister doesn't try to kill me :-)

And yes, the smiley stick ones. I feel like something is happening, so think my sticks have just missed it, like Lisa.

peardrop2 · 31/08/2012 08:48

Hello. I can't do it. I can't stay away :-) I had a really good sleep even though the rats are still very much present :( but I think my craziness last night was because I was over tired as I hadn't slept much with all the noise going on! So I won't leave you just yet because I clearly can't and just wanted to say congratulations Nicola and yes Raspberries you're totally human! I am also seeing a 20 something week pregnant friend at the weekend and I know it's going to be tough but I'm going to stick a brave face on and enjoy the friendship. BTW Nicola thanks for reminding me that I don't know until the scan...because I don't and I was worrying myself sick yesterday, not my best plan!!

peardrop2 · 31/08/2012 08:54

It's ironic that I'm getting a smiley face without AF and you both are not getting a smiley face with AF. Just shows that the sticks can't be that reliable surely?

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 31/08/2012 09:05

Very difficult not to worry Pear - I didn't realise how much TTC takes over ur mind, I hope that u can relax a little until after the scan when u then have a deffinate answer. Fingers X for u. When is ur scan?

I feel very guilty for being jealous, both have had a hard time with TTC. I love spending time with them tho, so focusing on that!! I'm sure it's worse in my head than it will actually be!!
Have a good day everyone!! It's nearly the weekend!!!

peardrop2 · 31/08/2012 09:09

Raspberry counting today 11 days time. However, remove the weekends and it's only 7 days away :)

Lolcbcblemonlime · 31/08/2012 09:11

I think it's kind of ok to feel Envy. Not that I would tell rl friends but I come clean with u lot!
Nic not long now. I had my dress tight for ceremony and photos but got my friend to loosen it up a bit before meal!
Pear. I read the thread. I know it's hard not to worry but stay positive till scan. My cousin was diagnosed with pcos when she was about 18- she had it quite severe and was told she would struggle to have a baby. She didn't even want one and last year she fell pg by accident at 33. Now she has a baby boy. So even if u get what may seem as bad news don't panic Hun. There is always hope. Glad u cant stay away Smile

LisaC2611 · 31/08/2012 09:12

Nic, I didn't have a long engagement either, got engaged in February and married in November, but could have been a different story if a couple of house sales had fallen through!

Pear good to see you haven't left us, wouldn't be the same without you Smile

I am doing the cb trial, so would be quite ironic if we did get upduffed with no Smile. Having tracked when I have ov'd over the last few months I know when it should be and I think it happened, (especially with the darker second line on the test stick) so it obv happened later in the day after I tested my fmu.

Raspberrys I went to the zoo last sunday with my best friend (who has an 18 month old) and her friend who has 2 kids. We had a lovely day but it was torture! I was surrounded by kids everywhere I went and kept thinking it should be me Sad. Am meeting another friend tonight who has 2 kids but thankfully they will be at home and we're going drinkingGrin I just cant stop meeting friends because they have children.

I know someone who had a terrible time conceiving and lots of ivf. She distanced herself from all her friends who had kids and when she finally got pg they didn't want to know because of how she had been. I'm going to make sure that isn't me!

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 31/08/2012 09:27

My life is surrounded by kids anyway - I'm a nanny!! One family have just had a baby - the older one is 18mths and she keeps pointing at everyones stomach saying "baby?" its (a) torture coz I really want one in there and (b) highly embarrassing when out in public and she says it to a fat man!!!
(I admit it also makes me giggle when I get home but highly embarrassing at the time!!!)
I've just got to deal with it!!

DulcetMoans · 31/08/2012 09:39

Wow, you ladies have talked alot for it to only be 9.30am!

So sorry you felt you had to leave pear but pleased you changed your mind. You don't want to miss out on our gossip, who knows what might happen?! Just ignore the threads that made you unhappy and stick with us.

No smiley here either but I really thought there would have been this morning. I just can't accept the one on CD9. It doesn't feel right! If it was though I guess it means I could test next Friday as that would be 14 days.

Hear you all about the jealous but happy thing. Going to spend time with my little nephew tomorrow who is 2 in December. Just learning to talk and a proper character now, so sweet! Will probably make me grumpy when I get home though. Why not me?!

Lolcbcblemonlime · 31/08/2012 09:42

I have a little nephew who is 5 and is also my god son. Last time I saw him he asked why I don't have a baby Sad
That was just after my mc. Life is unfair sometimes but our time will come I'm sure Grin
