DulcetMoans · 11/08/2012 21:38

Time to move over ladies. Would love to start this thread by announcing my BFP but unfortunately I can't because we all talk too much to get to test date!

All going for gold medals in baby-making and bound to get there soon, aren't we???

Glad it isn't just me then! Maybe I'm just having another 30+ day cycle. Or maybe the sticks are a waste of time...glad they're free!

Fx you catch it, Lisa. We DTD on Monday and last night, so fx I've caught it if the sticks have missed it. Difficult Gutting DTD into the working week. :-/

NickiNockiNoodle · 30/08/2012 07:37

Fitting, not gutting!

LisaC2611 · 30/08/2012 08:01

It is difficult fitting it in to the working week, if only you could only get pg at the weekend we'd all have had our bfp's by now Grin

We've booked a holiday for next month during the week that my app says I'm due to be most fertile so have told hubby he's going to have to have a good go at every day while we're away (if we haven't got the bfp before we go) Wink

NickiNockiNoodle · 30/08/2012 08:20

Ooh...fx for your holiday. If not before! :-)

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 30/08/2012 09:04

Hi, can I join please?!!
I'm on cycle3 and started using the clearblue monitor this month as coming off the pill made my cycles completely screwed!! I've been reading thread 4 and this one and been meaning to join for a few weeks so I decided to read to the end until joining - still trying to learn all the abbreviations!
So Hello everyone!! Wishing u all a BFP very soon!!

Talyra · 30/08/2012 09:35

Hello Raspberry!

Nick, Lisa, yeah I know what you mean. After a hard day at work I mostly want to collapse and my husband does too. Then by 9p.m. I'm falling asleep. Ways around it I've found include doing it first thing when getting back in the evening, before even having tea or anything (this does mean a late tea but if I have a snack at 5 I'm alright). Or Planning A Romantic Evening, but you need nice food, general willingness on both sides, candles, fizzy wine, and a large bath. And you can't do that every night. Then there's falling-asleep-sex after you've gone to bed and I'm not so good at that. We used to manage morning sex but he's turned mornings into his alone time browsing the Internet now which doesn't help.

NickiNockiNoodle · 30/08/2012 09:35

Hi Raspberries! Good fruity name :-)

BlocketteBananaSmoothie · 30/08/2012 10:04

Hi Raspberries!

CD12 today! and I feel all bloated and owchie! - what a stupid way for your body to tell you to have sex!

Me and the DH usually have a shower together after going running so I usually get to jump him then while we're drying Grin but as newly weds I guess it's a bit easier.

good luck for your holiday lisa!

who is next for a test? we haven't had one for ages!

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 30/08/2012 10:34

Thanku for the warm welcome!!
I'm on day 25 and had peak on monitor last Weds and Thurs, so when am I due to test? Next weekend?
I'm off work this week which means I'm thinking more!! Never a good thing!! 2day is washing day, we went camping the last few days, and the weather was so bad that everything was wet & muddy!! 3 loads of washing done - 3 still to go!!
Looking forward to work next week - need it to be kept busy!!

DulcetMoans · 30/08/2012 12:05

Hi raspberrys, that's the problem with camping - washing! Although you get that with any holiday I guess, its the punishment for having a nice time!

Shall I symptom spot then? I might as well start it... something weird happened around my tummy earlier. Was properly strange, like a strong fluttering but fluttering isn't really the word. Probably nothing, and can only be something if I accept the smiley on CD9, which I don't!

Need to get back on the DTD, wanted to last night but that opening ceremony just kept going!!

peardrop2 · 30/08/2012 12:23

Hello everyone. Welcome Raspberry like your name!

I'm glad you're talking about DTD struggles, makes me feel better to know I'm not alone in that department. I just want it to be the weekend so that time goes quickly. Had a major moan to DH when getting dressed this morning. It's not fair that the women has to take on so much when TTC. I'm now mega pissed off that the pill has messed my cycles (compared to last week when i was just pissed off) up so much. I think I know by the time 11th comes round I'll be really fired up to get some answers!

peardrop2 · 30/08/2012 12:24

I might even start a 'don't go on the pill' campaign or 'know the true facts and come off early' campaign. The Nhs would love me :)

NickiNockiNoodle · 30/08/2012 12:33

I'm determined not to symptom spot this month after last month's utter disaster :-/ Fx for you though Dulcet.

Definitely got something going on inside. Lots of CM as very damp knickers and gynae discomfort too. Maybe my surge will come tomorrow! Then I'll have to jump him Sat evening.:-)

NickiNockiNoodle · 30/08/2012 12:34

You'd be solely responsible for a baby boom, peardrop!

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 30/08/2012 12:54

Lol Peardrop - I'll back the campaign!!
I spent so long trying not to get pregnant that now I'm off the pill I'm wondering why the hell I'm not pregnant yet?!!!

Lolcbcblemonlime · 30/08/2012 13:18

Agree pear. I took the pill for almost 20 years and suddenly realised I didn't even know if I could conceive!!!
Nic pls try your best not to symptom spot as last time it was heart breaking for me too... Better to have a big fat surprise Grin

NickiNockiNoodle · 30/08/2012 13:27

17.5 years of hormonal birth control for me. Wish I hadn't bothered!

And I learned my lesson the hard way, Lol. I was utterly convinced - and had the faint second line - last cycle. No more symptom spotting ever!

peardrop2 · 30/08/2012 14:05

So that's 4 signatures already then? Good work :)

DulcetMoans · 30/08/2012 16:12

Ok, I won't symptom spot anymore. I don't really mean it anyway, don't worry.

You're doing well with the petition then, wasn't on BC so not sure I can speak from experience but i'll support you all!

OP posts:
NickiNockiNoodle · 30/08/2012 17:52

Oh no, Dulcet...don't stop on our behalf, but I just don't want you to have a crash when AF comes like I did last cycle. I'll still symptom spot in my head, I'm sure, but I'm going to try to rein it in.

I definitely think OV is on the way (TMI alert!) very damp knickers still with loads of CM, gynae aching / awareness, feeling dizzy and an itchy left nipple (I'm assuming due to hormones?).

Wonder if my surge will come tomorrow? If it doesn't, I reckon the sticks haven't picked it up. Maybe! On another 32 day cycle I wouldn't OV until Monday!

LisaC2611 · 30/08/2012 18:32

Omg what a day! So glad I'm on my way home. Have only just managed to catch up with today's messages since I posted this morning!

Welcome raspberrys.

Pear drop I'll sign your petition too! Haven't been on bc for the last 2 years but I know my depo injection took over 15 months to come out of my system, but no one told me it would take that long. Just glad I stopped it before I met my dh!

letsdothisthing · 30/08/2012 18:34

Hi raspberry :)

Nic, sounds like your cycles will be as long as mine before long! I'm 6DPO today according to FF (but I think it may be more) and on cd29 had sore boobs so far and that's about it? Have also had a bit of creamy CM and can feel some goings on in the general area but all feels same as usual tbh! Not at all hopeful this month just want to get on with AF now and start again :) hopefully with all newcomers someone's bound to get the elusive BFP before long!!!

Dulcet how many DPO are you?

letsdothisthing · 30/08/2012 19:17

Question for you lovely ladies...

Does anyone know what CM should be like between ov and AF/BFP? And is it any different if you are actually pg? Off to do some research Wink and by research I mean shamelessly plough through all google has to offer

Lolcbcblemonlime · 30/08/2012 19:35

Hi let's im not the expert wither. I'm sure these lovely ladies will shed some light.
I can't help symptom spotting either. But it's heart breaking when it amounts to nothing.
Dulcet I'm sure I'll be doing just that on my tww. So don't stop on my behalf x

letsdothisthing · 30/08/2012 19:48

Hi lol, was just thinking aloud really - thanks for your reply though! Can't find much on net really, my search is just throwing up links to other forums where people have asked the same question! Nothing for it will just have to wait and see what happens Grin
