DulcetMoans · 11/08/2012 21:38

Time to move over ladies. Would love to start this thread by announcing my BFP but unfortunately I can't because we all talk too much to get to test date!

All going for gold medals in baby-making and bound to get there soon, aren't we???

Phew nic I thought u abandoned us! technically I should not mind as we don't know each other but I seem to be getting strangely attached to all of I u ladies
I'm in NW London newbie, on the verge of Middx. Been around here for 5 years and love it.

NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 11:21

The appointment is 4 weeks away yet, as that was the first Sat my favourite GP was working.

But at least I'll have more evidence of what is or isn't happening as I'm on the CB OPKs this month. I hate having no control.

NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 11:23

No Lol...I can't type when I'm steaming drunk, partly as I can't focus! :-)

I think it's funny we all chat about everything, yet I don't actually know anybody's name!

Lolcbcb · 19/08/2012 11:23

We all seem to be a bit of control freaks. Maybe ttc and all these difficulties have been set as a challenge!
I hate not being in control. DH says I even try to manage him sometimes Blush and he says- I am not your staff!!!

NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 11:32

My H2B says that about me too :-/ Says I don't get to have control over him!

I never imagined TTC would drive me this mental.

NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 12:17

Short period = bonus CD3 DTD!!

Lolcbcb · 19/08/2012 12:18

See? One advantage of no kids. Sunday midday shag would not happen!

NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 12:33

That is true! :-)

purplefairies · 19/08/2012 12:38

Well, it's CD29 for me and AF arrived this morning :( Worse still, DH is set to be off on business in exactly two weeks' time, which isn't very promising if we want to make the most of OV.

Trying to think of the positives:

  1. At least I seem to have ovulated when I thought I was ovulating.
  2. I have at least one more month to fit into the new clothes I just bought.
  3. Another month of guilt-free wine.

Fingers crossed for the next cycle!

NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 12:47

That's a bugger, purple.

You'll have to make sure you DTD before he goes...I think it is meant to be more effective doing it a day or so prior to OV anyway.

We need to update the list again, I think.

LisaC2611 · 19/08/2012 13:01

nicola my cycle is only usually 3 days, which is nice! I have a few days spotting before af really arrives, one heavy day with lots of cramps but I like having a short period Grin

NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 13:04

Mine is usually 3 - 4 days, so was about half its usual length this time.

One blip doesn't make a pattern though, I suppose!

LoveinNY · 19/08/2012 13:06

Hi ladies. My AF has finished after 3 days which is a day shorter than it used to be.
Acupuncture isn't sore it's a little pinching feeling then you get a slight buzz. Feel totally chilled after it. It's supposed to raise fertility levels and she gave me vitex too. Xx

NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 13:11

Maybe short cycles are all the rage! :-)

I'm wary of vitex, so will just stick to folic acid and zinc, I think.

There's quite a few of us in sync now, it would appear!

Newbie2 · 19/08/2012 14:35

Think I'll wait for all my results before going down the acupuncture route! All I can hear is my neighbours newborn crying today...TG I'm out of here :)

NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 14:43

I'm not sure about acupuncture either, Newbie, but each to their own in TTC :-)

I'd be glad to escape that as well...talk about rubbing your nose in it.

Lolcbcb · 19/08/2012 14:53

Yeah we slept in the spare room last night as our room can be noisy with all the windows open, only to be woken up by the neighbour's kids screaming "daddy daddy" at 8 in the morning Angry

Newbie2 · 19/08/2012 15:16

Lol that's rubbish! Shame all the babies, children and pregnant mums stand out more when you're TTC. It sometimes feels like punishment :-/

DulcetMoans · 19/08/2012 15:44

We are going to have a bit of a POAS drought if we all get in sync! Will be another few weeks before anyone does anything exciting and then we will all be doing it at the same time!

Took DP to venue, he likes so we are first step there I think!

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 15:55

Ooh...exciting! :-)

Would you get married and have the reception there?

We will just have to POAS for no reason!

DulcetMoans · 19/08/2012 16:04

Well we are good at POAS with no reason!

No, would just be ceremony, reception is just at a village hall down the road. Lots of DIY decorations to do!

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 16:09

You have more energy than me. I couldn't be bothered to do that myself! :-/

Lolcbcb · 19/08/2012 16:14

How exciting dulcet!
I'll poas next sat. So scared x

Newbie2 · 19/08/2012 16:39

I just had a lovely nap on the couch..mmmmm Dulcet sounds like you have a date setter then? Finding the venue is the tricky part, the rest is all fun :) I think because I have no POAS date this month I'm just going to randomly POAS with my remaining sticks. Maybe every weekend?!

NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 16:46

Not every day then, Newbie?! ;-p

Feeling a bit icky this afternoon what with my hangover. :-(

Our DTD seems to have induced further AF bleeding as well, which is irritating, but I suppose means it's lasted a little longer, so I can stop worrying too much about how short it was! I'm also cramping again a bit. I didn't need THAT back, ha ha!
