DulcetMoans · 11/08/2012 21:38

Time to move over ladies. Would love to start this thread by announcing my BFP but unfortunately I can't because we all talk too much to get to test date!

All going for gold medals in baby-making and bound to get there soon, aren't we???

Newbie2 · 18/08/2012 20:22

No, never been pregnant

Roxyjade · 18/08/2012 21:05

Hi lol... Mmm yes I have been before, I was very young though (not somethIng i ever talk about) this is why I am shocked I'm not ovulating now....do you think I have eggs still? Yeah good question newbie, does acupuncture hurt ?

Roxyjade · 18/08/2012 21:10

And also lol, does acupuncture help you ovulate? My progestrone can back at 24 and 25 so doc said anything unde 30 means no ovulation. I have just ordered some vitex and (meant to be natural clomid) and was going to do acupuncture but not sure?

Lolcbcb · 18/08/2012 21:38

I've no idea on acupuncture. Some people here say it seems to help. I'm not half as clued up as you ladies on things like my progesterone levels etc.
I've always been very regular but took the pill for almost 20 years on and off. I stopped 18 months ago but we were not actively trying and then suddenly it happened.
Now I focus on that. On the fact that I can get pg and hopefully next time it will be a good one.
Are u having any tests done as well rox?
Newbie i know it's heart breaking and I
Imagine the fear of not knowing if u can get pg prob adds sadness to this whole thing. But I'm sure the time will come for a of us. Just the road is turning out to be a bit rocky x

Roxyjade · 18/08/2012 21:43

Yeah the doctor was testing but she said there's nothing more she can do till feb 13 when we have been trying for 2 years, all my blood test came back low peogetrone, which she said means no ovulstion and my internal ultrsound came back fine. She said I have all the signs of PCOS (periods started going funny feb 2012, a year of being off the pill) but not cyst, bizarre! This is what is making me think I cant have children. When I first saw her she said if you are having periods then you are ovulating, now she seems confused because my periods have regulated themself but no ovulation! I got appointment for private cling September 3rd and I'm hoping I jus need clomid or something because I'm soooo confused

Lolcbcb · 18/08/2012 22:13

Yeah I can imagine that is baffling. Especially if u have got pg in the past! How old are you?
The only thing I can tell u is that sometimes what they say is wrong and they always give u worse case scenario!
Don't lose hope x

DulcetMoans · 18/08/2012 22:36

Sorry about delay in response. It was loverly to get a cuddle and everything but so hard to deal with the 'oh, that suits you' 'does it not make you want one?' and 'when are you going to have one?'. I know no one means any harm but sometimes I just want to say I am bloody trying! (edit to previous message as well, was DP family's house, not DP house. He lives here!)

Sorry your thoughts have turned to IVF newbie and roxy* but hopefully it won't come to that anyway. Try not to get too dragged down in that when you might not even need to consider it.

OP posts:
Roxyjade · 18/08/2012 23:51

Thanks dulcet, hopefully it won't come to that

Lol, I'm 26, 27 in feb 2013
We started trying after my 25 birthday in feb 2011, I really hope I can have children, as you say I have been pg before
So I hope it is now just a hormonal embalance and I need clomid. I got some vitex (natural clomid) and I will try that once AF has gone!

NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 07:29

What's the shortest AF you girls have had?

Mine is done and dusted after 30 hours, give or take. Very painful but very short and very light. Not complaining, exactly, but it is weird.

PuppyMummy · 19/08/2012 08:50

4 days... its usually 5.

is it worth poas to rule that out?

NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 09:13

I did that this morning and got a BFN.

I still have sore boobs, heartburn and the pulling sensation in my uterus I was having before the period.

I think my hormones are totally buggered up :-(

DulcetMoans · 19/08/2012 09:43

Yeah, generally 4-5 days, although mine is being unusual in being continuously heavy. On day 4 now and would expect it to be dying down by now! Maybe I've got yours as well nicola!

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 09:47

Ooh...I don't wish that on you, Dulcet! :-/

Our bodies like playing tricks on us, it seems.

Newbie2 · 19/08/2012 10:00

I was thinking about testing this morning but I've packed my tests...Doh!

Newbie2 · 19/08/2012 10:01

No idea which box and I haven't got enough brown tape to start opening lol

NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 10:04

Packing fail, Newbie!! ;-p

Do you move on Friday? So exciting!

Newbie2 · 19/08/2012 10:35

Nicola I know...clearly not thinking ;) Tonight is my last night at home. Tomorrow I have to fly to Scotland for work and then when I get back on Wednesday I'll be coming home to the new place.

NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 10:43

Wow...not sure I could cope with not being there for the move.

And that'll be a bit strange too, coming back to the new place.

Still very bloody exciting though.

Where in Scotland are you going?

Lolcbcb · 19/08/2012 10:49

Where are u moving to newbie? Is it a bigger house? I bet it's lovely. That will keep u busy this month and leave less time to worry about ttc.
Nic I was wondering where u were! Mine is at least 5 days, sometimes it extends to 6. My cycle is long though, 31 days avg. I had some with 34/35 in the last year.
It does sound like your hormones are playing up Sad

Newbie2 · 19/08/2012 11:06

I know it's nuts. I'm excited that I'll have a kitchen with a window and a drive to park my car on. To be honest the whole TTC mission has taken away a lot of the excitement and you'd think I would be extra busy but oh no I'm still thinking about TTC 24/7!! Very annoying!

Nicola off to Edinburgh. Live in London. I don't see Edinburgh though, it's very dull. Plane, meetings, sleep, meetings, plane, home. People think working away from home is exciting. It is not.

Lolcbcb · 19/08/2012 11:10

Are u staying in London? What part? Try and enjoy your house hun. It's such a lovely feeling! Make it nice for the two of you first and then worry about additions to the family!
I am going to redecorate my room by the end of the year hopefully so that will keep me busy. We have done the whole house and ran out of money. Then we have been procrastinating for the last couple of years. I'm hoping that project will keep me busy too!
Blimey edinburg is a long way to travel for work! What do u do?

NicolaHazel · 19/08/2012 11:14

Hi Lol! I was off out drinking yesterday. And was very drunk when I got back :-)

I'm very glad I have my doctor's appt already booked, as I've a feeling I need it, even if I only get reassurance that what's happening is normal post-injection / pill.

I know what you mean, Newbie, I used to work away a fair bit and didn't like it that much. Just an inconvenience really!

Newbie2 · 19/08/2012 11:14

Thanks Lol yes I live in London. I work in advertising so I sometimes have to visit clients around the country.

Newbie2 · 19/08/2012 11:15

Nicola only an inconvenience if I forget my sticks :) Glad you b

Newbie2 · 19/08/2012 11:16

ooked your appt. we need a goal!
