Morning all.
Almond sorry that AF got you but happy you now know where you are.

I tested OPK this morning and got negative but tested again just and got a smiley. Goodness knows whats going on! I'm on cycle day 24 I think so ovulation maybe during next few days. kittykat possibly a 40+ day cycle too.

That's great babyjames it's great to see the smiley. But I had always read that you should test twice a day incase you might miss the surge. So well done catching it. Don't worry about late ov, I was the very same and got my smiley last week around cd 30!!!! We only dtd that night and next so don't know if it was enough. So I guess we all know what you'll be doing tonight lol!!

Not sure when to expect AF. 2nd cycle after mc. First AF came exactly 28 days after first serious bleeding from mc. Before that there were3 days of v light spotting . So who knows when she will show her wicked face. Convinced myself she will show up any day due to the 2 BFN a few days ago.

Baby, aparently you are most likely to get the surge in the afternoon so that makes sence, mine was cd26 welcome to the 40 day cycle!! Atleast were both 2ww finally!
Suzy I have been convinced af is on her way after bfn but got a +ve later, it really isn't over till she rears her ugly head x

Advice needed please ladies. Think I have turned into a slight looney today. Been at home today and have tested O.P.K 4 times! 7.00am - , 11.30am + then I tested again at 3.00pm as I was excited and a negative again. I was gutted and have just tested again and negative. Very confused, upset and emotional. Think may have been a damaged one or something? This cycle really sucks. Really rubbish that we have all been through this :(

Baby, you are ment to hold wee for atleast a few hours they suggest 4 and not drink alot before, did you follow this?
It is possible to have a really quick surge and I have seen lots of threads where people ckain they only get it at a certain time, I remember one girl saying on the second wee of the day?!
Put the opk down now and back away, dtd tonight as though it's +ive or when you can and just take it like it is unless you get signs pain or EWCM a different time, it seems pretty plausible to me that it is, mine after mc have been cd23 and cd26

babyjames I did an opk test on a sunday morning and it was negative - did it in the afternoon and it was positive and then did it the next day in the morning and negative again.

One of the tricks is to actually pull out the stick and look at the second line - it should be the same color or darker than the 'base line' --- that will give you a good indication if you are ovulation... they should be a 'lead up' to this darker line over a few days. Go pack and check the actual lines on the tests that you've done over the last 24 hours and see if they tell you anything or if there's a pattern....

Hello everyone - I can't believe how much this thread has grown while I've been away. We had a brilliant time in Australia and for the first time since mc, I found that I wasn't thinking about getting pg again all the time.

I will read through everything I've missed later but hello to all the people who've joined this thread since I was last here - I am sorry that you have all had to experience mc.

I think af is due any day now but this is my 2nd cycle since mc so not sure if it is going to be funny. I did a superdrug test this morning (as I thought af might have been due yesterday) but it was -ve. As these tests are supposed to show pg up really early, I'm guessing that I wont be pg this month as I think it would have shown up by now.

FX that we get our BFPs soon.

I've just entered the 2ww having received my smiley Monday morning. We DTD Sunday night, Monday afternoon and this morning so I really hope we caught something! Going to be a long 2 weeks but I'm keeping myself busy with house stuff

I'm pretty sure I ovd now as the last 2 days cm has dried up completely. 2ww but dpo 4 so only 10 days to go and maybe less if I can't resist poas , not too hopeful this cycle even though we did dtd eod I have a feeling I probably won't be lucky enough to fall pg every month

kittykat I know how you feel - I have fallen pregnant every month that DH and I have TTC. Once resulting in DD, and 2 times resulting in MC, and I feel like surely my luck must now be running out!

Trip was fantastic, thanks jessie and kittykat - favourite bits would have to be scuba diving on the barrier reef and going to Sydney Opera House. And cuddling a koala and seeing a duck-billed platypus.

I think I will try a different brand of test if af hasn't arrived by the weekend. I don't have any symptoms though, apart from slightly sore boobs on and off.

Jessie I hope your 2ww goes by quickly for you.

What is cm meant to be like before af arrives?

Welcome back from hols woody, sounds like you had an amazing time and great you were able to forget about all things ttc and switch off.
Cm for me before AF is thick sticky and yellowish in color.

Looks like Jessie and kitty are both on the 2 ww and yous are our next hopefuls for Bfps's.

I'm afraid I'm now with almond and Suzy. AF arrived today cd 36 :( was suspicious yest as I had very sore boobs and some mild cramping. I am a little disappointed after getting smiley on opk last week and thought we had dtd at right time. But obviously really short luteal phase. On the positive it is cd 1 of a new cycle ( third after mc) my first cycle was 103 days and now this one 36 days so here's hoping I might get back to normal and that the wtf era is over????

sorry to hear AF arrived Munchin but you're right, its a new cycle and maybe this one will be the back to normal one. Do you think you'll use OPKs again?

oh and woody to answer the cm question: I can't remember what its like before AF but just before I got my BFPs I remember it being similar to ewcm and quite a bit of it too.

Woody you may still have ovd late this cycle so test may be too early, I was convinced last month it must be neg as I used frer etc but eventually it did go + af arrival is really the oy thing to tell you your out, my second cycle after mc was longer then first!!
Sounds like you had a fab Holliday the barrier reef is amazing, did you snorkel there too as I thought you saw more s ork ing then diving, I was lucky enough to see a shark ( just reef) and a turtle!

sorry af arrived munchin but hopefully the cycles are going back to normal. If I'm not pg then I hope af arrives soon as it'll mean that my cycle is pretty much back to normal. I'm not totally sure about when it's due as I'm not sure when I should count my first day of the last af as I had a few days of brown discharge etc before the bleeding started.

I think that if af hasn't arrived by tomorrow then I'll buy a first response test and see what that says. But you are right kittykat I am not totally sure when I ov and this could be another wtf cycle! We dtd a lot on holiday so hoping that I'm lucky.

jessie the platypus was really small - I thought that they'd be about 1m or longer but they aren't at all.

kittykat we were on a boat for 3 days going to different parts of the barrier reef. We did our advanced PADI while we were there. There were bits where we were going really deep but also bits where we were virtually on the surface. Some people on the boat did just snorkel.

Yes, I seem to have quite a bit of cm but not sure if it's a sign of anything or not. I am really trying not to symptom spot as I've done this before and then been really disappointed.

Has anyone seen the film what to expect when you're expecting?

I hate AF. Never asked her to visit.

Woody I went to see What to Expect When Expecting 2 days after my second miscarriage, with a friend who was pregnant. I thought it was going to be hellish, but actually I really enjoyed it. It made me excited to think about what I have to look forward to, and it reminded me of the joy of being pregnant with DD. And it was really funny! Have you seen it?

So Saturday is CD6 so I am arming myself with OPKs and have warned the DH of the shagfest that is coming. He even suggested doing it every day... yikes dont think I can manage that!! We will see if EOD is sustainable first!

Hi everyone. Welcome back Woody. Been lovely to hear about Australia, I would love to go. I'm still confused about whats going on this WTF cycle. I have continued to do the OPK's as the stick I had the smiley the dye had run and non of the sticks when removed had a line anywhere near dark! So here I am on day 27 and still don't think I have ovulated.

I don't think I have heard of that film but I do love a good rom-com. Prob ball my eyes out though!

Baby I felt like that and despite using OPK's and OV symptom spotting I didnt suss it out. As you have probably seen I did go on I didnt get AF until CD45 so probably OV v late in cycle. In the end I just tried to distract myself (easy said than done) as I thought I have zero control over this! Also someone mentioned there WTF cycle was 105 days or something and I just thought it might be that long for me and I will have a breakdown if I keep stressing myself out about it.

For the first 15 minutes or so, I didn't think I was going to like the film - particularly when it seemed like everyone was getting pg! But I really enjoyed it although I cried when the girl had the mc.

almond I thought the koalas were soft. It was lovely cuddling one and got my picture with him. Apparently they can be quite grumpy though! And they sleep loads.

Well af still isn't here. Not really having any symptoms or anything apart from slightly sore boobs and a bit of pressure rather than cramping. Going to get a FR test tomorrow if af still hasn't arrived and test on Saturday morning. Maybe my dates are all wrong - perhaps this is going to be another wtf cycle!
