glad to hear your bag was returned munchin!!

suzy don't know how you got through work when you started to miscarry, work was the last thing on my mind and i def couldn't have been in the office - i was an emotional mess!

kitty fingers crossed for you that that bleeding stops for you soon. Please take care of yourself and make sure you're getting the extra iron etc.

almond any news on af or hpt results?

I'm due af tomorrow working on a normal 28 days but don't really feel like it's coming (iykwim) so not sure what is going on at the moment!

AlmondAvocado · 29/08/2012 13:13

Munch glad you went with Mango! Fingers crossed it works for us (for those who dont know another thread with fruity names has had lots of BFPs recently!). Glad you got your bag too!

Vix still no change this end CD32. Soo frustrating. Had really bad cramps yesterday then nothing and today feel fine! Going to hold of poas for few more days. Likelyhood is v slim now as we haven't DTD for a week or so! thanks for asking Wink

Suzy I think what she meant was if you stress over something too much it isn't going to happen. Relaxed mind + relaxed body = BFP! That is my new mantra. Went back to netball last night so trying to be as 'normal' as possible!

So, having said my 'relaxed mantra' I now have a new worry. Anyone concerned about conceiving and having an Aug baby? Someone mentioned it to me yesterday and said they were really disadvantaged in school...

Lolcbcblemonlime · 29/08/2012 13:30

Munch thanks for your concern. My mc was on the 20th July so just over a month ago. I've just had af so at least wtf cycle is over. Now on cd8 and getting ready for shag fest Smile
Kitty how is the bleeding?
Hope everyone is feeling ok x

ktfrd · 29/08/2012 14:43

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me joining? I, unfortunately, had a miscarriage at 4.5 weeks on 15th Aug. My hCG levels were 6 which is near enough gone on the 18th which is when I stopped bleeding. My DH and I have been DTD every other day/2 days and just wondered if it is actually possible to have conceived? God-knows when my period will start or when I'll ovulate but just thought I'd see what everyone's thoughts were? xx

kittykatskumkwat · 29/08/2012 14:43

Almond obviously severely outing myself but my dd was born on 31th aug so she will officially be the youngest in school on their intake, she was due 21st sep so nothing you can plan I'm afraid and to be honest not something I lay awake fretting about! Wink
If I thought she was a little slower I would keep her back but to be honest it pushes some charente and by the time they come to secondry it would make no difference, the plus is you pay a year less for child care!!
Almond a week ago to last dtd is nothing, in my last pg I didn't get A very very faint + till 16 days after we had last dtd? Go figure that one unless it had been the only other time that was 4 days before in my attempt to bring on af, neither made much sence!!
Just abit of pale brown spotting today mixed with normal cm but I darnt get to hopeful, will attempt dtd tonight as we fell out last night Blush

kittykatskumkwat · 29/08/2012 14:47

Kt it is indeed possible but too early to find out for another few weeks yet, don't be surprised if your cycle is a little longer and ov later then normal though

ktfrd · 29/08/2012 14:55

We're in no hurry and I know I'll have the dreaded 2ww. I've heard from various people who have had miscarriages that they spent some weeks dtd and waiting to come on but didn't know they were actually pregnant! Just found that very bizarre! x

littlepinkfizz · 29/08/2012 15:50

Any chance you can get pregnant after DDT only once but that once being the middle day in your supposed fertile days from the mumsnet ovulation calendar. DP stressed at minute so having problems with libido ,poor him

kittykatskumkwat · 29/08/2012 16:02

Little pink, course it is. Even if we dtd eod only one of those occasions is the one that might result in pregnancy, does that make sence, sperm can apparently last up to 7 days in the right conditions, usually up to 5but when I got pregnant after dd we had only dtd 2 times in the previous couple of months as he had broken arm and I'd not got af back ( bf) and got pg!!

AlmondAvocado · 29/08/2012 19:11

Kitty thanks for the positive msg! Not going to worry about the Aug thing as just want that BFP too much! Hadn't thought of the child are thing either Wink!! I'm still holding out some small hope for a BFP but not having any pg symptoms unlike last time when they were ferocious! When did you start getting symptoms?

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 29/08/2012 19:14

Re August birthday almond I know what you mean. I am considering giving ttc a miss when an Aug birthday is a possiblity. My dd appeared two weeks early so I might have to miss two months.
Not really sure what to do. Also if I leave it until a Sept birthday there would be 3 school years diff between dd and new baby (I was hoping a 2 year gap but you can't always control these things).

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 29/08/2012 19:19

That last message was written at midday I thought I posted it then. Kitty thanks for the info on your daughter. If it isn't worrying you then I'm not going to worry either.

kittykatskumkwat · 29/08/2012 19:55

No it doesn't worry me, I know at the time I though oh j can't believe shes going to be the youngest when everyone had said oh she'll be the oldest, that's good but as I say I've never met anyone who's said they felt at a disadvantage and I think children are what you make them, if you invest time reading etc with them they will develop quicker, aparently it only affects them confidence wise really but I think you can counteract that, by the time it makes a difference I don't think there will be a problem I think it's just when they start that I surpose some might be reading etc
But in terms of stoping trying etc there's no point and I won't let it effect me, you know the old saying about the best made plans!! My god daughter was born at 24wks where babies are concerned I don't think they will ever do what you'd like or expect, I'd hate to think the month id stoped would be the bfp. I think the best way to think is if you missed this month, carried on trying and it got to the same time the following year would you still be trying to dictate it or would you just want it no matter when or how it came?!?

babyjamesblackberrycrumble · 29/08/2012 20:50

Hi all,
had a busy few days and can't keep up with you all! Welcome ktfrd and anyone else I have missed.

kittykatskumkwat glad the bleeding is becoming lighter. My friends daughter also has an August Birthday who was meant to be a September. She is also bright as a button :) I agree that I just want to carry on trying. I'm not getting any younger and don't want to miss an opportunity.

Almond am liking your new relaxed self. I too went back to my fitness class this week. Was a bit strange and everyone kept asking where I'd been.

Munchin so glad your bag has been returned :) I wrote a message yesterday then managed to delete it somehow saying I hoped it would get handed in.

Had a bit of a wobble today when I had to follow a funeral procession in town. Am trying to stay positive and focus on DS but sometimes emotions catch me out! I am now on cycle day 12 if I count first day as heavy blood loss in MC. Anyone else around same as me? Know it's going to be a WTF cycle though! I have started the OPK sticks today as couldn't help myself! Early too for me as usual cycles are around 32 days Hmm

jessiethecowgirl · 29/08/2012 21:41

Hi everyone, hope you're well! Am enjoying the paralympic opening ceremonies currently

babyjames am near to you in cycle: am on CD9 since heavy blood loss, and started OPKs 2 days ago. Can't wait to see that smiley, although I know I may be waiting awhile (glad I have 20 of them!)

fx almond that you will get a BFP!!

suzydelarosa · 29/08/2012 22:23

littlepink every one of my pregnancies has been from one time only! That probably says a lot but we both have demanding jobs w long hours and am old and tired! In one instance we both didn't remember having sex -- so the sex doesn't have to be memorable or good! Grin

It only takes one shot, but at the right time of course!!

babyjamesblackberrycrumble · 30/08/2012 08:30

jessiethecowgirl nice to know someone is testing fairly near me. We can hopefully keep each other sane! I could be slightly out on my dates so we will see! I am also armed with about 15 OPK tests and a load of internet Amazon pregnancy strips!

We are going away at the weekend for a week (Shag week Shock ) so not sure how much of a chance we will have this month as we in a tiny caravan, one room with DS! We will give it every attempt though! We started DTD night before last. DH said he couldn't possibly do every day anyway so we will just see how it all pans out! Am watching for that smiley! Need to do a suzydelarosa and time it right Wink

posyplum · 30/08/2012 08:34

Hello everyone, I have changed my name again - potatoes weren't giving me much PMA! (loving everyone else's namechanges btw Grin)

Jessie glad to hear you're OK and back on board the ttc bandwagon. Fx for this month!!

Almond with my pregnancies I didn't actually really get any symptoms (doesn't stop me symptom spotting now though!) so you never know... Fx for you.

Kt sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Hope you're feeling OK now. Welcome!

I have been really hormonal the last few days and even wondered if I might be pregnant (on CD10, ha ha). Does anyone else's hormones go funny before ovulation? It is probably just me being an idiot though! x

posyplum · 30/08/2012 08:41

babyjames I am on CD12 now too by the way (nice to have cycle buddies!) If it helps, my WTF cycle was 32 days, and my cycles are usually 28-30 days, so it wasn't much longer. So you might get that smiley soon!

littlepinkfizz · 30/08/2012 08:43

Thanks Suzy and Kitty! I know it's very unlikely but I'm so so keen for another baby. Mc in July at 13 weeks. It was quite traumatic and after being really sick through the 1 weeks I had thought it was a good sign- but evidently not. Got pregnant that time after Dtd only twice so feel very unlikely to happen again. Age is not on my side either having just turned 42. Feel like an antique though feel and look younger x

posyplum · 30/08/2012 09:29

Hi littlepink, definitely possible if it's within your window! Sorry to hear about your mc - that must have been really stressful. My DH gets stressed having to dtd on demand too. Don't blame them really - I do too sometimes!

kittykatskumkwat · 30/08/2012 09:32

Well day 2 and no bleeding plus dtd last night and there was non after that so I think that was the test, A pointless shag really as dh had jumped in the bath with me earlier so that no doubt zapped all his swimmers but hey ho, Will aim this wkend for abit more action aswell Grin
Almond any more developments?

suzydelarosa · 30/08/2012 09:34

littlepink I'm 42 as well so really understand that feeling of urgency. But I've been pg twice in the last six months and know lots of people getting pg at this age or older.

Sorry to hear about your mc and at 13 wks. That's awful. Look after yourself.

AlmondAvocado · 30/08/2012 10:27

Kitty glad the bleeding has stopped and your back DTD. I had a bit of a meltdown about it and DH felt too under pressure about was about a week after bleeding stopped for us!

I'm on CD33 now and no AF or no BFP (poas this morn). Swinging between being certain my AF is coming and then thinking I could be pg. We DTD CD17-23 pretty consistently. Then had brown smear on CD25 and was convinced AF was coming...then nothing! No major symptoms except for cramps (again sure AF was coming) and last couple of days metallic taste.

What do you guys think? Just a long cycle after MC or is there still a chance?

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 30/08/2012 11:09

littlepink really sorry about your mc at 13 weeks. Best of luck ttc again.

almond the optimistic part of me is thinking, possible implantation on cd25 but if you are on cd33 the test should have gone positive by now if it was implantation. It is possible you oved later than you think so there is not enough hcg yet.
I don't know really. My mind is veering towards more negative thoughts at the moment.
