same here kick we hoped for a girl but eventually nothing matters more than having a baby.

I see it was before, just thought you had ment you dtd after which didn't make sence!
You must be very fertile to get pg from swimmers atleast 3 days old, as much as I wanted a girl first time I'll admit I never did anything to get one as after months you do literally just want to get pg and I'd not risk not dtd until then, in my case I still got a dd even though the month we conceived I only did it after lh surge was detected, i think some people are more likely to get a certain sex anyway whatever and i have heard some people struggle to carry certain sexes although not sure if its true but a friend of mine has 5 sisters and her mother had two late mc both boys ?!?

Oh and red, what is cm like now? My dried up for abit like a day or two then is back to being watery, I'm flummoxed if I have any idea what my body is doing but I am getting fed up with waiting

Oh "red", I feel for you. It's a time when you can't think about anything else, isn't it? I remember last month's build up to AF so clearly. Every time anyone said "how are you", I had to bite my lip not to reply "well, I might be pregnant"!

Yeah I have to admit I am quite fertile but due to medical reasons struggle with the actually staying pregnant as I have an incompetant cervix so even though I get pregnant relativlily fast I really struggle to keep the baby inside - so I know my problem is a lot different to alot of peoples on here its still hard as I will fall pregnant but not be able to hold it until the stitch at 13 weeks and will then have to start again

Kitty - My CM is wet and sticky but not massively, only just slightly. I rarely get dry days in my cycle. Furkled a bit - no brown or red CM....YET.

I'm envious to have an end date, mine was sunday and here we are Wednesday and I'm non the wiser, it sounds stupid but part of me would just be happy to see her as I can move on, think this is the first time I've ever thought I'd like af to turn up although ofcorse I'd have preferred a bfp

Argh! Get to the doctors and they very kindly jab me with the MMR shot (they can't pick up the antibodies from my MMR jab as a kid) then tell me I can't TTC for 4 weeks until the next shot and then another 4 weeks from the second shot.

So - head to my trust medical journals and THEORETICALLY I can't fall pregnant but if my levels come back normal (they kindly shuffled me into a room and took blood for my hba1c test - based on the fact that I told them my story and I really wanted to know what my levels were), I am going to TTC anyway.

The first jab on average protects 95% of individual MMR diseases and the second shot protects the balance of the 5% and if I do fall pregnant first cycle and if my hba1c levels are fine, I should have another 4 weeks grace before major organs start to form.

WHY is the world AGAINST me TTC FFS?!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grrrr why are you being given MMR vaccine now kick? Its a childhood jab, surely you don't need it again when you have been given one before? I have only ever had the one and I don't remember it as I was very little.

But aside from that, if you have to get the jab - what is the reason for them stopping you from trying???? Does the jab affect fertility?

Also why are they repeating the jabs at 4 week intervals? According to the NHS its a single jab and even if you TTC theres no proven link that it will harm the baby.

I did have it as a kid but apparently it didn't take. They picked up the lack of antibodies in one of my blood tests from the hospital.
What really pisses me off is that it's advised if you are TTC to get it AFTER you've had a baby - so why advise me to get it ASAP when they KNOW how desperately we are to get back to TTC.

It's advised to not fall pregnant within 28 days of the jab. I figure having 95% cover is good enough for me to choose to not have the second jab. But they have never picked up any defects in a baby that was conceived BEFORE the jab - so I will be fine. It's because it's a live vaccine that they have theory behind what the vaccine may do - but they don't have any medical proof.

I know now that the reason we should take folic acid before falling pregnant is because the babies organs start to form from week 4 (after conception - not the week 4 which is actually week 6 according to the doctors when they count from the date of your last AF).

It means that you essentially have three weeks before worrying about damaging the organs and spinal bifida etc so if my hba1c levels are fine on Tuesday, I am jumping on TTC in mid-August (should OV in around a week or two) and then if (BIG IF) that takes, we still have three weeks by which time, the MMR will be in safer regions.

I have already decided to not have the second shot. I will have that after I've had a baby. Even if I need to have two again.

I am not doing the second jab. They only really give it in two jabs now but I don't see the point of having a second jab

yeah the booster can be given a lot later on. It makes you angry though that they insist on having it done before when it can be done after. And it was only because you had your bloods tested, what about the millions of other mums who haven't had their bloods tested until after they are pregnant.

Yes I always count 4 week from last AF start date so always cut back drinking in the 2ww just in case as that's when the baby draws from the mothers blood stream. 3 weeks are good enough time in between. Dont go back for the second till after 9 months :)

Also, knowing I can work out an average of how much my sugars drop a week and can factor that in with the TTC as well.

Since from the date of conception, you have three weeks - if I drop .5% a week then I shoudl drop 1.5% in three weeks, which means that I should be able to TTC and IF it caught, I would have those 3 weeks to drop the hba1c enough to be safe for the organ growth.

I am getting so excited again :D

I've worked really hard to bring my overall levels down.

AND apparently the last 30 days have a higher weighting in the hba1c than the previous 60 - 120 so my levels should really see a difference

Out of curiosity do any of you PIAC (pee in a cup)? or always on a stick?
I'm thinking about Friday - when the time comes, do I want to pee in a cup for a guaranteed result? Last time my wee ran out before the 5 seconds were up so i kept wondering if there was enough on the stick!

I pee in a cup. The first time I POAS, I destroyed the stick and peed everywhere. I find a cup to be easier.

Nowadays, I can check my ph balance, my ketones and my pregnancy levels all in one handy cup. I actually used to steal those plastic water cups from work and pee in those. Meant my DH didn't inadvertently drink out of a pee cup.

There seems to be more control from a cup and you also know for sure that you didn't miss or pee in the wrong place :)

I don't know about doing another test, the other was an early one and a very definate no so itd seem like a waste of money as going by winkle and sunshine a late af doesn't seem that uncommon, just a royal pain in the ass!!
Excited to see results though of bloods and pee for others though
