red Lisa kitty just read all your posts and they made me laugh. Glad it's not just me that has a good furkle to check for af (and ewcm).

I used to get a bit of spotting before af. Was just a bit of pink cm. I got it when I got my BFP with my dd. The day before I got pink cm as usual but the next day instead of af it dried up completely.

I also do the furkling.

I don't spot - I get a sore back the day before (boobage is sore depending on how they feel) and then generally fairly agony a couple hours before I am due. I get it all at once though - once I know there is pain, I can be sure AF will follow. It takes a good 5 or 6 hours to get a flow but I AF arrives in all her glory and I know it's her!!

Oh my GOSH I want to know what my levels are.

Aside from the fact that insulin doesn't seem to work in the heat. The remedy is of course to do some form of housework or exercise...

Seriously, this really isn't a difficult disease.

I tried the sainsbury and they had ran out of pregnancy tests completely! Call themselves a supermarket! So went to boots - they had no cheapies just cb digis which I have at home. So came back empty handed! I guess it's a sign :) I'm waiting till AF arrives or till Friday.

Lol glad to see furkling is not just done by me...I furkled some more but no sign of spotting. I can barely breathe now. It should be here by now. Got a lot of AF like cramps though.

Also red don't forget I had cramps exactly like AF cramps all evening, night and morning I got BFP. All that stretching of the womb and implanting :)

If anyone's interested it's called 'optimum nutrition before, during and after pregnancy' by Patrick holford. Is super cheap on amazon but I think it's really good so far about how the nutrients we put in affect things and why...Worth a read :)

Good to see you scuba and what a coincidence!! earlier today I went back in the original July thread to check your posts because I seemed to remember something abt your boobs deflating too before af. Still waiting to test till Friday.

I am having a strange sensation around my boobs though very burning and tingly. So much do I had a shower to just cool them off. Nipples are sensitive to touch. I have never had this before. Crossing everything and going to bed.

I have also had almost 5pints of water today...which is rare for me. Im not much of a water drinker. Oh somebody make time go fast!!!!

I know kitty but mentally I refuse to believe its actually happened until I miss AF. I want it so bad....just want to get some evil satisfaction in seeing the wicked witch not arrive and then I'll happily pee on fri. Scared!!!

red I have such high hopes for you!! You're right my boobs went sore on and off on the days leading up - very confusing but everything seemed EXACTLY like AF was coming.

I was 100% sure AF was coming this month and that I was going to be out as all I felt was tired and sensitive nipples and tingly boobs and I got my BFP!

Any tips to pass on? Dtd certain days etc!?

I ovulated on the Thursday and we DTD on the Sunday and Monday as was trying the method for a girl as we have 2 boys. However my cycle is a perfect 28 days like clockwork which is lucky. With DS2 2 weeks before ovulation we DTD every day for 3 days to clear the pipes so to speak then went to every other day until 2 days after I ovulated and it worked 2nd month

Hi zoey, where did you hear that was a way to conceive a girl? I though you could only get pg within 12 hours after you have ovd and the egg is released or was it 24 but even so 3 days later see
A late or was it the sun and Monday before? As the boys are fastest arnt they and girls hang around

I saw it on a number of sites that boy sperm are a lot faster but because of this die faster and girls sperm will live longer as they are slower. You only actually get pregnant once you have ovulated but if you have sex 4-5 days before in essence there should only be girl sperm left as the boys would of peaked and died off, but thats why they say you are fertile for 3-4 days before you actually ovulate as sperm can live a good 5 days (each man is slightly different of course) if you are trying for a boy they say have sex the day before you ovulate and the day of the ovualtion.

The girls will just keep swimming up and meet the egg as its released and comes down into the womb.

It was the Sunday (night) and Monday (morning) before I ovulated on the Thursday (late afternoon)

Thanks for the support girls.... I am really praying she stays away. I promise I will test first thing on Friday morning. Believe me - I am as eager to find out.

Woke up feeling strange again this morning, had very strong AF cramps. My body feels confused - I can feel my body thinking its way through 'am I pregnant or am I meant to start AF flow" Because my boobs are going on tingly, then off, then sore, then off. They still feel tender, but could be because AF hasn't arrived. By the way I have no other symptom except boobs and cramps. Cramps could be AF, and so could boobs.

If I get through the day without any spotting today, I will allow myself to get a bit excited. Until then - no day dreaming about babies or pregnancy.

Congrats zoey and yes I have heard of the shettles method but never attempted it.

Scuba stay around here a bit longer. I have got some hope knowing your boobage symptoms around AF were similar to mine.

Theoretically, that's correct. But your chances of conceiving every cycle are 20%. Sex 3 - 4 days before ovulation on the off chance of conceiving a girl would then bring that number down to 10% every cycle (based on yet another bizarre hope that there are exactly half the number of sperm)

We hoped for a boy. But eventually just started to hope for a baby.
