ahh! same here - weird my hair is falling out everywhere.

wifey6 · 23/07/2012 09:06

Hello...a bit late for me to join I think as AF is due tomorrow or Wednesday. Had a MMC in April so have only really been ttc recently. Used an IC this morning (also yesterday Blush) as they are meant to be very sensitive 4 days before AF due..BFN.
With my DS I did a HPT the day AF was due & BFP & with my last pregnancy I did an IC (5 actually Blush) the day before & got a faint BFP. Does this mean I am out this month? 'thought' I had symptoms...but now I think it's probably just a bug...Sad
Smile Smile to those who have had BFP this month & Sad to this who AF has visited!!

kiwi5 · 23/07/2012 09:23

I am out. Period arrived this morning. 23 days instead of 26. Even after my mmc in april they have been regular. Oh well, sooner it starts the sooner it ends and then more shagging!!

kittykatsforever · 23/07/2012 09:30

Sorry kiwi but nice spin on it, 23 days, so lucky!! Cd33 here and still waiting, I'm sure when I done my bikini tomorrow I'm asking for trouble although the fresh sheets sat wernt enough to lure it out of its hiding place!!
Welcome wifey, when you say you only got bfp the day and day before last time do you mean you tested earlier and they were neg?
Red- no symptoms for me either, had cramps from wed- fri last wk maybe even over the wkend but nothing else and to be honist to me it really doesn't I dictate anything, if no show today was surposed to test tomorrow but I may wait, it's my day off with dd and I want to enjoy it not start it off dissapointed, if she comes she comes then atleast I've not wasted money to boot!

But kiwi is it defo af, not implantation? Only with you saying its 3 days early and that you are normally very regular?

wifey6 · 23/07/2012 09:36

kitty....with my DS I never tested early..just the day AF was due. With my last pregnancy (Sad) I tested everyday for 5 days & all were BFN til the day before AF was due & I got a BFP Confused
I feel like I did with my last pregnancy...my chest hurts, off tea & no appetite.Confused must not get hopes up

AussieMummyTo1 · 23/07/2012 09:38

Welcome wifey Never to late to join, hopefully AF doesnt turn up for you FX

Thanks everyone for the congrats, its so cool having people to tell as wont be telling anyone in RL for months as long as we have smooth sailing from here ! (new thing to worry about now !!)

red im glad i waited now and didnt cave last week, 3 days will go fast just keep occupied !!

kitty the past few days i did think maybe, I dont have any sympotoms at all but my nails are looking really good, i usually have crap nails that split & when i was pregnant with DD I had really good nails !! Plus I was unusually calm this month, im usually a lot more up & down.

No tips as such winkle but i can tell ya what we did, DTD 5 & 2 days before i got my positive OV stick and then DTD for 3 days from day of positive with 20 minutes of winkling Wink also cycled legs in air whilst winkling & no baths (someone on here mentioned not to, so i didnt !)

I was feeling particulary optimistic this month, i know that cant actually help & would have made me feel extra down if hadnt got BFP, but i definately was less stressed.

Ill be due April so im hoping you'll all get BFP's & we can all be in an April ante-natal group to stress the next part together !

wifey6 · 23/07/2012 09:44

aah congrats Aussie*...how wonderful Smile

CherryBakewellPie · 23/07/2012 09:50

Massive Congratulations Aussie!! About bloody time we had some bfps :) lifted my spirits!!

Winkle Is it a bit creepy that i'm jealous your AF has arrived?! You were my long cycle buddy & here i am, cd49!!!!!!! and still nothing! Doctors later this afternoon though so hopefully get some answers. AWOL AF.

Red I love the POAAS (Pee on an actual stick) idea!! Wonder what my o/h will think if he see's me squatting in the garden...Hmm

kittykatsforever · 23/07/2012 09:51

Well done aussie again, clearly it was my no baths thing that did the trick Wink lol
Wifey I'm the same in not knowing when I'd get a +ive from, didn't test till 7/8wks with dd and not sure how late it was with last pg (Sad) like yourself but think it would have been atleast a week after, I hadn't got my af back at that point so not sure, typically I've never had symptoms I can associate although I've managed to invent alot the last week! Wink

Aussie do you mind sharing what your CM looked like before your AF was due? Blush This is the only thing I have different to previous cycles.

TMI alert - I have very sticky creamy white CM not yellow and not much of it. Almost dried up. Normally I have creamy yellow and lots of it 4 days before AF is set to make its appearance. Just wondering.... to help my will power I am obsessively looking at symptoms to get a sign one way or the other.

I have also had no facial spots - which is diff to prev cycles Hmm

kitty I hope she stays away and you get your bfp this month too :) Fx crossed for you. Hold on till tomorrow.

Kiwi hope its implantation bleed

wifey hope af stays away and the bfn might have been an early test result. Test again next week maybe?

wifey6 · 23/07/2012 10:14

Thank you red...Smile
Wow kitty...7/8 weeks!
I guess I didn't realise how much I wanted a BFP til last week so when I started feeling different I got excited. I will try & find some will-power from somewhere to not test til AF is officially late...if it doesn't come before then. This ttc malarky is stressful. Smile
I want a BFP but scare at the same time...Blush
Let's hope all you lovely ladies waiting will get BFPs!! Smile

KickTheGuru · 23/07/2012 10:28

red

As we know, CM is definitely not reliable. Mine went exactly the same a couple cycles ago.

And my hair is EVERYWHERE - it's been falling out a lot more of late. I am now that gross wife whose hair glogs up the drains. It's never done that before :(

DH and I have pretty much decided we are going to carry on TTC at the end of August (my next cycle). My levels should be fine so fingers crossed for that :)

redstrawberry · 23/07/2012 10:34

I know Kick but i am clutching at straws. Its the only thing keeping me calm. I think I am going mad with the "no POAS rule". I didn't realise how difficult it would be. I want to so I am out of my misery, but then agree with DH that it will put me in a rotten mood if its a BFN. Somehow AF arriving doesn't feel as bad as seeing a BFN. If it makes sense?!

To take my mind of it I have read 5 books in 1 month Shock. The sixth is about to finish.

Yay to you TTCing end of Aug!

redstrawberry · 23/07/2012 10:37

I think its because a BFN still leaves hope and doubt that maybe its early. With AF its a sure sign I am not pregnant. So I can accept that and move on to the next month.

For now - its 2.5 days to go. Nearly 12hrs into day 3. This is me going insane.

KickTheGuru · 23/07/2012 10:46

When is AF due?

You can fairly reliably test the day before.

Trust me when I say that most of things you are relying on may be indicative, but they are also highly unreliable and/or not even pregnancy indicators. The CM thing is actually so not something that you can tell by - I read that a few times on Google until I found one that told me that you CM will DEFINITELY do xx and yy at this time of month. It was wrong, obviously.

Oh my AF seems to be back to normal! I think my cycles are coming back. I know I said it before, but the doctors reckoned I'd definitely not ovulated at all during the two months when I was so ill. Remember that epic month of DTD like...ALL THE TIME?! Wouldn't have even ovulated - what a waste!

My AF arrived on Friday and it's already tapering off. I actually can't remember the last time it was so short! Because of the anovulatory cycles, they have been light and like...10 days long. Another one of those where I obviously slowly got used to it and just thought it was normal.

So exciting!!! What if we get a sticky BFP by the end of the year?!! Can't stand the excitement now.

kittykatsforever · 23/07/2012 10:49

I don't think there's anything wrong with asking the question, after all if you did a hpt and you were pg it could well come up with the bfp result so the fact something's different this month could be an indication, I agree you wouldn't base your diagnosis on it but it's an interesting thing to compare, I totally agree with the af arrival as easier red last month it came before I expected it and it was dissapointing but like a band aid I could think right cd1 then off we go, I tested thur and thought that's definatly late enough to know for defo was really miserable and now I may have to go through it again as with every day you think hmmm was it too early?

OP posts:
KickTheGuru · 23/07/2012 10:56

I must be honest, I never stand the POAS rule. If you can't pee on a stick when you want to, then whats the point???

Besides, if we defy logic, we may as well defy the POAS rule. And anyway, it's only a guideline...

redstrawberry · 23/07/2012 10:57

My last few cycles have been weirdly irregular by a day. April was 30, May was 31, June was 29. I am averaging at 30. So the app has AF due as Thur 26th, but it could be due 25th or 27th. But the red spotting I get 2 days before is always an indication of it arriving, so waiting for the spotting before I get too hopeful.

I know kick every month we think symptoms might tell us something, and the thing is most threads on MN and in RL people don't get any symptoms especially increased CM or nausea till 6 weeks. So I feel a bit better because I have no symptoms.

My period also is very short - 4 days max. So its a good thing that your cycles getting shorter right?

I remember your DTD marathon that cycle...so I hope August is your month and it happens instantly for you.

redstrawberry · 23/07/2012 11:01

I think the POAS rule is more self-imposed, for a) protecting myself from doubt and disappointment, b) not wasting money if its a BFN, c) its nice to live in the bubble of am I or am I not (even though its torture).

I have a few more days before it bursts. IF I am pregnant, its not going anywhere.

KittyBump · 23/07/2012 11:02

Hi all, glad you're all chatting again - it was getting a bit quiet here! Well no testing for me tomorrow AF has arrived on CD 44, so here we go again :) May would be a nice month for a baby!

KickTheGuru · 23/07/2012 11:21

red Two words - Internet. Cheapies.

I use them - they actually have a fairly high sensitivity and as you say, if you are pregnant its not going anywhere.

Yeh short, regular cycles are the bomb! Indication of fertility! As is sore boobs - 20% of women who don't ovulate don't get sore boobs.

And, the CM thing is also an indicator of fertility.

Ah well fingers crossed.

Blimey I think the heat has just shot my insulin resistance to hell! My sugars are BLOODY high! Whoops Grin

The good thing with the high sugar is just injecting buckets of insulin and watching it fall

redstrawberry · 23/07/2012 11:31

haha kick you don't give up do you :) stop tempting me woman!
I'm glad shorter cycles are a fertility indicator.

Btw does it hurt much when you have to take the insulin shots? Heard they are like a pen and it goes into your hips :(

Sorry AF arrived kittybump hope next month is your BFP month.
