Am ttc db2 but still bfeeding dd (9mths) about once a day. No af since giving birth so no idea if ovulating etc but have just started using my isis scope (excellent gadget for ttc imo!) and have found fern patterns which indicate fertile period....and we bd last night!! Have loads of cm too which i think can mean ovulation??

Am well aware that i am setting myself up for a BIG fall but am v excited at the prospect that I am fertile again :-) Am assuming need to wait about 2 weeks to test but obviously as no af its hard to know (and hard to wait!!!)

Anyway wanted to share tmi with everyone in my excitement! Fingers crossed for a db due 23rd Nov 2006 :o :o :o :o

When do you think I should test? I had my ferns 2-5 march so am thinking i should be OK to test around the 20th?

hi,been to the gp.shes taken some blood and have to ring for the results next week.she didnt seem that worried about how heavy i am bleeding, but said i could get anaemic,so hence the blood test.she said i am likely to bleed for a couple more days.i just wish it would stop.its just a constant reminder of whtas happened.she said that if bleeding continues into next week, then she'll send me for a scan to make sure everythings come away.

bobblehead · 10/03/2006 15:05

Hope you feel better soon BuffySad

Think the 20th sounds about right Ruby. Try and leave it longer if you can just to be sure. No don't, as I'm dying to know too!!!!!

Babydust to us all!Smile

bobblehead,my dd is constantly attatched to my boobs!!shes on every hour or so,but i think alot of the time its just for comfort.ive been trying to get her to stop bf,but no luck as yet.hv wasnt very helpful when she came the other day.dd still wakes about 4-5 times during the night in search of a booby, and im just so tired all the time.am hoping that this didnt have anything to do with my losing the baby.(not the bf,the being so tired part)

bobblehead · 10/03/2006 15:53

I'm sure it didn't. If your body wasn't able to cope with it you probably wouldn't have been able to conceive.
My dd is awake about 4 times at night too and won't settle without a bf. How long did it take for your af to return? Dd may feed frequently but its always so quick so hoping that won't stop fertility returning.
Funny how much you can want another baby despite being so tired isn't it?!Smile

buffythenappyslayer · 10/03/2006 20:27

tell me about it!!dd screams at me if i refuse her a bf.she keeps me awake all night.is mega clingy (wont let me watch tv if im holding her,she pulls my face to look at her!!),she doesnt like people coming to the house (if i talk to anyone she goes for the boobs,or will sit twiddling my nipples through my top!Blush)she wont let dh do anything for her,and i do all her physio and medicines, but at the end of the day,i love her to bits and i still want another one!!
my af started again just after dd's first birthday.when we were trying for dd,i had had the depo provera injection (had two injections, but didnt stop bleeding so gp wouldnt give me another one),and after that it took 2 years for my af to come back.af was then so irregular (would be on for 2 weeks, off for one and back on for 2)it took 3 years to get pg with dd.and then i started bleeding when i thouht i was only 7 weeks, went for a scan and it turned out that i was 12 weeks and the bleeding was dd's twin had died.it was such a blow,as it had taken so long for me to get pg.sorry to waffle on!!

Hi I just saw your thread as I was searching for bfing in conception. Ds is 4mths and I am bfing him exclusively and intend to keep bfing for a year at least, but also am dying for another baby and the sooner the better because DH says he is getting too old and in bad health so have to get it in quick! I just ordered taking charge of your fertility - as I have previously charted but read this had stuff in abt bfing and charting. Did you know that if you record your temperature first thing in the morning, if you get 18 high temps then that means you are pregnant, so you can save yourself the pregnancy test.

Buffy sorry about your bleeding. That's the one reason I dread pregnancy because of the whole hear factor of miscarrying. But in that book they said one in three pregnancies miscarry Shock

beartime · 10/03/2006 22:27

sorry fear factor

bobblehead · 11/03/2006 04:24

Hi BeartimeSmile
Don't know about you but I find I'm up and down so much at night I wouldn't be sure when to temp to get a consistant result! Did leave a thermometer by the bed but never remembered to use it!

Sounds like you've had quite a hard time of it Buffy, sorry it hasn't been straight forward for you this timeSad. Lol at the nipple twiddling though!Grin

Hi Bobblehead - yeah I know you're s'posed to be asleep for 3rs b4 taking it aren't you? But thankfully ds is now sleeping 7pm to 7am which is the main reason I'm more hopeful about getting pg even tho' I haven't got my AF back yet Smile
