Faint Line on two tests?

Hello ladies,
Basically I've always been regular with my periods although last month I came on a week early, as that happened I figured I'd be due my next period a few days ago because I'm always 28 days (other then that one time). I have a bit of heartburn and just out of curiosity I bought some very cheap sainsburys own pregnancy tests. I got a very faint plus sign with both and I'm still not sure if its a positive as its not a strong plus.
I've been getting some random cramping in my uterus but it comes and goes with hot flushes, normally I would be getting cramps followed by my period at the same time but nothing.
Am I testing too soon? Am I worrying about nothing, I've yet to tell my partner as I don't want to create a fuss about possibly nothing.
x

a positive is a positive no matter how faint it is. So congratulations.

Was your last period normal or was it lighter in anyway? If it was it could have been implantation bleeding. I guess wait a few days a test again, or buy a better test, but you are pregnant.

morecoffeemorecoffee · 08/07/2012 16:13

Congratulations! You are pregnant! I had a similar experience...my first 3 tests were very faint. I waited a few days and got a good strong line on a first response and also did a cb digital and got 'pregnant'. I'm now 8wks. I would suggest wait a few days and test again if you want a bolder result.

Congrats again! :)

Starfishkiss · 08/07/2012 16:15

You are pregnant!! (same happened with me!) Congrats!

iloveberries · 08/07/2012 16:18

i had 2 false positives on sainsburys tests once - an evap line.

Longdistance · 08/07/2012 16:27

Congratulations! I had feint positives, andthey're nearly 3 and 1 Grin
The cramping, is your uterus expanding, making room for baby's growth. I had it, along with leaking nipples lol!

motherOfOne27 · 08/07/2012 16:30

It was normal just early by a week.
I have heart burn already too, if its a positive I hope this doesn't mean morning sickness later on :/
Thank you for your post I'll re-test and then post an update... Do you recommend a good brand to use for a early result?

Oh gosh didn't realize I'd had so many responses, thank you all!
And I'll re-test but I do hope I'm not getting my hopes up, be back within the hour.....
Wish me luck xx

I've been told sainsburys own aren't that reliable I got a false positive too ;( get a first response one they are very good at detecting early bfp's! Good luck

motherOfOne27 · 08/07/2012 17:08

Ok so I had to get another two cheap tests as the big shops are now shut (sunday)
I've done one test and it had nothing in the positive results window at first then a couple of minutes later a very very very faint line in the positive window.
I'm so confused, I wish I could share the pictures of them to you all which would make it easier.
What is a evap line? is just all these are
Thank you

Hi op - this is exactly what happened to me. I started with very very faint lines, almost not noticeable and after a day or so they got stronger! People on here recommended pregnancy tests that use pink dye rather than blue and I also got a digital test - I couldn't really doubt it when 'pregnant' came up. Congratulations!

motherOfOne27 · 08/07/2012 19:56

Wow I sure hope so Woody17
I just hope they are not evap lines, I've only just heard about these things and now I can't stop thinking maybe they are just them!
I'll get a digital one and see what happens tomorrow :)
Thank you x

Motherofone, I don't want to give you hope, but how did the GP test, I'm guessing a urine PG test? I've heard that the ones that the GPs sometimes use aren't as strong. It's unusual to get 3 +ive PG tests, no matter how cheap they are... Are you sure it's just too early for your GP to tell with one of their tests?

Did you buy a Digi one? I would maybe wait a few days, see if AF arrives and if not, test again...

motherOfOne27 · 09/07/2012 13:09

I could only manage a tiny bit of wee lol as id already just been and he then put in a strip which he said was very accurate but it only showed one line which ment not pregnant. Im going to wait a few days i have had cramping but oddly no period they come and go and seem different then normal.

Im beginning to think I've been seeing evaporation lines on the test but I've tested before when i havnt been and it was completely blank with no faint lines just nothing.

i can't help keep wondering until i get my period which will defiantly give me the answer xx

+ves so weak only I could see them : now a5yo and 3yo. Congrats!

Katnisscupcake · 09/07/2012 13:16

MotherOfOne, I would definitely test again in a couple of days. I would imagine it would be too much of a coincidence to get evaporation lines on 3 tests...

Good luck!

Longdistance · 09/07/2012 15:00

Wait a good few days. Doctors can be wrong too. Get a clear blue test, and make sure it's the 1st wee in the morning as it's more concentrated. I used to pee in a plastic cup, and test, as used to stress myself out, and not pee.

motherOfOne27 · 09/07/2012 15:12

Thanks *sundaegirl*but Im
not celebrating yet lol.
Cupcake i did four tests Haha that's why Im so confused, and longdistance he seemed pretty sure but only time will tell.. Im scared to retest now after going to the doctor and getting that negative result :( xx
