I am 6 days late today. Boobs have been sore all week - very sore. Like...I can't really touch them or run or bounce.

I really hope AF arrives soon :(

KickTheGuru · 18/07/2012 10:39

Although, I felt feverish last night. I was sweating ALL night - my sheets were soaked most of it. Perhaps that's the start of AF??

nigglepiggle · 18/07/2012 10:55

Well yes kick, the problem is the definition of "line" I suppose. One person's definition of a clear line will be different to another persons and v difficult to describe on an internet forum Smile I presumed the test had been performed correctly by kitty and the description of "line" meant a line.

I work in a hospital lab and POAS for other people with a pipette for a living at times Grin and whilst it is easy to be more objective when testing other people's wee (and can use and compare positive and negative controls), it is true to say that a line is a line if it is a line, and the test is read correctly. There is a tiny chance of a false positive or indeed negative in all lab tests, for pregnancy, heart disease, cancer, anything.

Totally agree with you if it is unclear then retest.

KickTheGuru · 18/07/2012 11:02

100% agree with you.

A lot of peeps don't seem to know about evap lines or that if you squint and hold it up to the light, you may see a line.

It's just to clarify that the line should be there in case they don't know they shouldn't be squinting or holding it up to anything.

:)

kitty!!! Is there a chance you used a hpt stick but read the instructions for an opk stick? I got opks and hpts in the same envelope, the opk cheapies clearly state that the test line must be the same or darker but the hpt is just the appearance of a line ( no mention of darkness) ooh I'm excited for you :)

Dexidoo · 18/07/2012 14:09

Oh exciting times, all you potential BFP's I'm keeping my fx for you.

Talking of POAS I have done OPK for the first time this month. They've all been clearly negative until today but the line is nearly as dark as the control one but not quite!! Curses to my cheap nature and not buying CB ones :(

Anyway will attempt to jump DH tonight. The EOD plan failed last night, he was knackered and possibly not quite recovered from Sundays efforts Wink

AussieMummyTo1 · 18/07/2012 14:09

kitty looks good but hold off & test with me on the weekend !! Grin

I am feeling a bit more sane today !! Thanks for all the good advise to just wait ! Ive gone back to waiting now, I felt so manic to test yesterday !! Isn't it awful how uncontrollable the urge gets !!

My cousin will be gone Sunday & if I'm lucky enough to get a positive we can celebrate !! Just 4 days, c'mon Sunday !

Who's testing before The weekend ?

kittykatsforever · 18/07/2012 14:22

Dexi, I used to buy tescos own opk using lines then when I thought it was a + use a cbdigi to see if I got a smile, that way cheep tests but a definate confirmation, that way the cb tests last 6 months!
Aussie I think I will hold of now, still don't know what I did as packaging and test in bin at home but I think I just did an opk test by mistake so am non the wiser. I feel it's a sign to wait though, dont want the high then low again, if af comes then atleast it's cd1 not cd-5 if you get me

Newbie2 · 18/07/2012 14:54

kittykat you're more restrained them I am! If I was you i would be testing again tonight. Well done you!

DulcetMoans · 18/07/2012 14:57

Oh God! I am researching/benchmarking nurseries as part of a work project. It's like torture!

redstrawberry · 18/07/2012 17:34

Aussie and kitty Fx you have a very celebratory weekend! I might be either drowning my sorrows with vino and watching the Olympic opening ceremony next week or hoping I'm not allowed to drink and have a sober Olympic Grin

Sorry pooley. Next month lady!

No good news here either. I think it was a chemical pregnancy. Tested 1st thing and iv was just a shadow and just started spotting. So af arrival 2 days early.

That'll bloody teach me 2 test early. Slopes off 2 cod.

DulcetMoans · 19/07/2012 08:32

BFN here too, sorry to bring it down more. Just waiting for AF now.

winkle2 · 19/07/2012 08:47

pooley really sorry too. Had hopes this thread was going to turn positive again.

KickTheGuru · 19/07/2012 09:15

Sorry ribs and pooley

Crisis averted on my side too. 7 days late, I have woken up in the most godawful PAIN. YAY! No genetically deformed babies for me this month! :D

kittykatsforever · 19/07/2012 09:39

Thought I'd jump in the cod feet first with you all, bought a frer as thought its in time to get a definate answer and bfn for me too, no snif of a line
Very very depressed! Got to wait for the ugly bitch which makes me even madder
Sorry dulcet and pooley and ribs, ribs that really is a bitch!! I'm definatly just waiting next month

kittykatsforever · 19/07/2012 09:40

Oh and to make myself feel better I'm making myself fatter by having a sausage bap, I've slunk to a low place

KickTheGuru · 19/07/2012 09:43

Ah sorry kitty

That's rubbish for all of you. I would drink a lot of wine tonight if I were you.

It will happen. I said to my darling husband that every month we aren't pregnant, it another month closer to being pregnant.

Ah. Insane anger for the passed week has probably been mad, very late AF

RIBS · 19/07/2012 09:45

Glad you're in the clear kick Its amazing you cant want something so much and then shit happens and getting what you want could be the worst thing. It's a long 9 months worrying what can go wrong at the best of times.

RIBS · 19/07/2012 09:52

Well we'r off to the lakes tomorrow. We had a case of wine delivered the other day. (we'r in a wine club -doncha know!) Wino alert!! So bollocks im taking a few bottles and we'r gonna get DD to bed and have a few boozy nights. Plus I can have a drink on my bday night out with the girls next weekend. Will try not to get thrown out and barred from any pubs! Grin

Get on the epo kitty. AT least i got a cp this month, I see thats a step closer, in a wierd warped way. I think its working. DP said oh well back to all the trying hey Grin Grin Grin

Good luckt o everyone else testing. Your're gonna need a prt 3 i reckon!! Man we can talk!!

kittykatsforever · 19/07/2012 10:00

I've got the fear again and that's what I'm maddest about I want to be relaxed etc but I allready think it's going to take me ages again!!
