red Only a bit. I am still quite raw to be honest. I don't mind the TTC talk, it's all the BFP's that make me sad. Oh well :)

resipsa · 12/07/2012 14:44

RIBS virtual slap administered but...I'm also busy at work and googling! Came across www.fertility.ca and this extract (in response to a question NOT asked by me!):

Andrea, late ovulation is generally thought to be not problematic at all.

It can make timing of intercourse (or inseminations) difficult of course, but the eggs released have equal chance of being good quality as a woman who ovulates on days 11 or 12. Late ovulation is usually associated with a high antral follicle count ie a good ovarian reserve.

So, for anyone worried about late OV, don't be! Google is always right, you know...

KickTheGuru · 12/07/2012 14:49

70% of women OV before day 10 and after day 17.

The length of your cycle dictates as mostly, women will OV 14 days before their next cycle. However, some will OV up to 10 days before the next cycle.

That said, if you OV and fall pregnant within the 10 days before your next cycle, you have a higher chance of a chemical pregnancy than someone with a slightly longer luteal phase.

kittykatsforever · 12/07/2012 14:51

Hi whenshewas I think if you've not had a call it because us desperates girls jumped straight on the Internet and signed up all the places!! You may find they contact more if people drop out or get pg before trial starts?!
Red- mines not changed all cycle except while I was taking epo there was loads but very watery and still now, I would go so far as to say the same amount as when your pg as there is loads then aswell but not had EWCM infact I don't remember ever getting that unless you cound back in my youthful days when I thought what's this?!?
Amaya my dh knows and is constantly saying your not on that bloody mums net again are you???

KickTheGuru · 12/07/2012 14:54

Yeh my CM changed LOADS in the last 3 months and the weird thing is that I didn't even ovulate apparently. Those were the months that I was 3 days late but the doctors said my body wouldn't have been able to OV at all.

I had increased CM - more watery - from OV right up until a few days after my missed AF (which arrived promptly a couple days late)

There are no symptoms :D

redstrawberry · 12/07/2012 15:22

it will happen for you kick have they said when you can start ttc? its always reassuring to read your sane advice!

I am not going to look for any signs or symptoms. Just keep praying like crazy that AF doesn't arrive for all of us this month.

kitty weirdly enough EPO had the same effect with mine, lots of watery stuff but no EWCM. I had some of this glorious stuff last month, but seems to have completely evaded me this month. Oh well! we'll have to wait and see.

We have been busy with DTD this month - CD7,9,11,12,13,15 and still going.

fx for you RIBS - when are you testing?

OP posts:
Chimpette · 12/07/2012 15:33

Glad I'm not the only one checking my kecks!

Newbie2 · 12/07/2012 15:34

Wow red that's really good stamina! Have you got any tips in how you keep this level up?! I'm about to approach it next week but I'm nervous that we're both two stressed out with buying a house to keep up the same level of TTC as you have achieved.

KickTheGuru · 12/07/2012 15:38

I can start TTC when my overall BS levels taken over a period of 8 - 12 weeks are below 7%.

11 June - 15.5% (admitted to hospital)
18 June - 12.6%
6 July - 11.9%

Should be about 6 - 8 weeks time?

Remember that EPO literally just increases CM because that will protect the sperm on their swim up the tubes. So an increase in any CM means that you are giving them more "protection" :)

My DH noticed a different on EPO. Randomly, my EWCM has increased massively since I've started bringing my sugars back down... The doctors just said my body has been so ill, that it's not been able to let me get pregnant.

Newbie2 · 12/07/2012 15:41

Hi Kick great news about your stats coming down! Keeping my fx that time will go quickly before you're back talking about your TTC experience again Thanks

KickTheGuru · 12/07/2012 15:57

Thanks newbie.

I will close my eyes to any BFP's and just chuck out that random advice Grin

kittykatsforever · 12/07/2012 16:05

Hi kick, well it makes sence doesn't it, it like when anorexics get so thin their periods stop, your body is just fighting to stay alive and protect itself, yours was obviously fighting so hard the other stuff wasn't of conciquence to it, the increase in EWCM sounds a really positive sign that your getting back on track. It must seem like an age to wait but I wouldn't be surprised if you get updiffed first try!!
Well you know I'm a big believer in no symptoms as I don't have any however alot of women do seem to " know" they are pg?! My mum said she always got constipated Blush

RIBS · 12/07/2012 16:06

Hi kick glad your still popping in and pleased you're on the mend.

Loads of ewcm and cm in general while taking the EPO. Plus i used CP. If we've failed this month it'l be because ive drowned his swimmers. Grin

We're going away on Friday for a long weekend, and I dont know whether to test on Tuesday 14dpo or the Friday 17dpo, I dont want to wait to see if AF arrives. But I dont know if it'l pick it up from testing at 4 days early in effect. Or would my hgc (or whatever) levels be the same as some one with 14 day lp just because af arrives a few days later. Frig me its confusing stuff!

I want to test this month - only because im going away and dont want to have the disappointment when we're having a break.

Loving the lp info resipsa. Yey im old and have a good ovarian reserve! whoop whoop for em!! Dr google is never wrong! lol.

kittykatsforever · 12/07/2012 16:07

P.s I can understand the bfp thing, it's hard!! I must admit I like it when fellow bloggers get one when you've been through the long slog with them, it's the ones you've not seen on the thread who just come on to tell you wow I'm pregnant yeay!! I'm like thanks for that lol
Still I guess it's just excitement and wanting to tell people when you can't in RL

Newbie2 · 12/07/2012 16:13

Hah hah kitty I thought it was just me who thought the new ones announcing a BFP at first introduction was cheeky :)

redstrawberry · 12/07/2012 16:14

Thats a great improvement in your BS kick and more EWCM is def a good sign that your body is going back to normal.
Your advice is most welcome :)

Newbie - I guess we never used to make time for it before - Blush weekday sex was a rare thing, but actually going to bed an hour early def makes weekdays a possibility! quickies are a good thing too, and we leave the foreplay stuff for the weekends. Parts of reading 50 shades before bed helped too lol ...I can't believe i'm revealing so much about our sex life on here!

chimpette nope you are def not alone in checking for pant snot.

I really wonder kitty when people say they knew they were pregnant - how is that possible?! I guess we'll have to wait and see if we feel anything nearer to when AF is due.

OP posts:
KickTheGuru · 12/07/2012 16:17

I think it's crap because all the nurses and stuff are blasé about it but I am like...we've STILL been trying for 11 months. Even though - yes, fair enough, my body has been ill and bla bla bla bla.

Anyway, am being crazy about bringing my sugars down and I missed you guys so much. Just the random chats though - not even the bits about TTC or being pregnant. Since those "symptoms" I had that I swore blind was pregnancy was actually my body attacking itself.

I made an Amazon wish list though of baby goodies.

And I resigned from my job. I finish tomorrow. Looking for something else but also just content to leech of my DH and get sugars down.

Which incidentally, are supremely high because I am PMSed (sore boobs, tingly nipples and further proof that THERE ARE NO PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS) and I have a cold so my sugars have gone wild!

Have we heard from Pinkie or any of the pregnant ladies?

KickTheGuru · 12/07/2012 16:20

Remember as well - hindsight is a great thing when you're pregnant. I bet a million ladies look back and go...ah yes, i knew I was pregnant because of xx and yy but those are ALL symptoms you get either PMS or with pregnancy and are directly related to progesterone.

We believe what we want to believe. And every single body is different and how our bodies react every month is different. Stress and slight changes in life make our bodies react differently. We just have no idea. We have no idea how delicate and perfect our inner workings are. We take for granted that things work or that things will go the way we want them to.

The funny thing is that there are a million little things going on in your body at once and anything can throw everything off. :)

Newbie2 · 12/07/2012 16:25

Well said Kick

winkle2 · 12/07/2012 16:27

Amaya - LOL @ 'the project'! I have NO idea what's going on, I'm unsure when OV was, etc, I'm sick of it now! The longer there's no sign of AF, the later it means I OV'd which means I didn't DTD at the right time :(

red - 'timely donations from his factory' Grin

kittykat - OH never too sick for 'footsie'?! hehe

RIBS - consider yourself virtually slapped Grin

redstrawberry · 12/07/2012 16:29

Funnily enough DH and I were having this conversation about how we take our bodies for granted and expected them to function a certain way. He hates people who boast it happened the first time for them! Well I told him to politely smile and say 'good for you'.

Kick I will pray it happens for you instantly when you start trying and you dont have to wait any longer to be a mum. I have already made a list of stuff I want to get for the nursery and prams to like.

I am hoping if I get a BFP this month, I'll get to go to the Baby Show in Manchester in August to get some freebies and obsess about all the stuff. Just dreaming of it for now.

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 12/07/2012 16:35

Omg red I'm now fighting the urge to look up where my local baby expo is!

redstrawberry · 12/07/2012 16:38

lol theres one in Earls Court, London (Oct) and one in Manchester (Aug/Sep).
I really want to go to it.

OP posts:
KickTheGuru · 12/07/2012 16:47

I will be at the one in Earls Court in October. Pregnant or not. :D

I hope we fall pregnant soon as well. I feel a selfish BFP wish coming on though Grin

Maybe we all get it in the same month (he he he).

Winkle - have you tested?

KickTheGuru · 12/07/2012 16:48

red

Thanks. Means a lot :)
