babyjames · 07/07/2012 11:26

Morning ladies. Thanks for your support it really has helped. Its good to know of positive outcomes.

Feeling more positive about starting new cycle today. Going to take EPO I think and will see some of you over on the August thread! Good luck to everyone still in for this month.
Anyways I have a poorly DS today so thats going to keep me busy!

YikesHereWeGo · 07/07/2012 11:50

Lol, no BFP for me yet RIBS, a bit early for that; think I was being optimistic even saying I'd be expecting it on 10th July. Maybe 12-14th July is a bit more likely. Did do a test this morn just for a laugh but no luck. Off to buy some proper tests now for next week. Still symptom spotting but no tell-tale sore boobs yet so not put a bet on yet re whether I'm preggo or not and still having the odd glass of Wine Grin. xx

Mersea · 07/07/2012 12:01

Thanks for all your support and kind words ladies. RIBS I was also hoping clomid would do the trick and was really heartened by the news that it had given me 3 large folicles and even though it looks unlikely to have worked this month, at least it is doing something and know I have some eggs left. This is good news for IVF if the next 2 rounds of clomid don't do the trick. Do you have the HGG injection too? I get mine after my scan. At 40 and without any children I am going to just about try everything I can, although I am not sure if my bank balance will cover all the options.
Fingers crossed for everyone x

alwyn · 07/07/2012 13:22

Those of you who worry that you've missed the boat around OV - taken straight from Zita West's blog:

Many women focus too much on the egg and how long it lasts ? don?t get too caught up on this and remember that if you are having sex 3 times a week and your partner?s sperm is good, it will last 3-5 days inside of you. This way you are ensuring there is a constant flow of sperm in the fallopian tubes ready for when you ovulate.

So as long as you're getting regular attention beforehand, doesn't really matter whether you DTD directly around OV!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 07/07/2012 13:28

You are right alwyn my dd was conceived with 5 day old sperm. (apologies to all ttc regulars who have heard this fact for the 12th time since April)

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 07/07/2012 13:30

baby glad you are feeling better today. Hope your ds gets well soon.

mersea glad the clomid looks like it is working, fx for you.

RIBS · 07/07/2012 13:30

Do u know I could've sworn you'd announced yours yikes. Maybe its a sign. Puts mystic meg wig back on again!

@mersea. Iv not had any hgg? I haven't even had a scan. Just 2 lots of day21 blood tests. And 7 months of clomid. Iv been given really limited info. I really hope the clomid works 4u.

Smile87 · 07/07/2012 16:30

Hi I'm new and hoping for a bfp. Crippling headache last 3 days and no sign of af for two weeks. Test is negative. Hubby and are all booked in for fertility tests over the next few weeks, so hoping to get answers as our holiday this week marked two years of us trying

winkle2 · 07/07/2012 16:54

Welcome smile :)

winkle2 · 07/07/2012 16:56

Alwyn I've told my hubby we need to be having sex at least 3 times a week and not just dtd loads around OV which is what we always do. Another new tactic to add to the long list - seem to add something new every month!

Mersea · 07/07/2012 17:00

HGG is an injection given to help the eggs release once they are mature enough this is probably why I'm scanned to see if I am ready for the injection. Also I think they are keeping an eye on my dosage to make sure it is not too high and ovaries are being over stimulated. 3 eggs ready this time was a little more than they would like to see but they decided to take the chance anyway. I knew multiple births was a risk of treatment.
Most of the guess work about ov is taken away and we are told to dtd within 36 hours of the injection, makes it a little clinical but the outcome will be worth it.
Unfortunately feel like I have more af symptoms the moment. Due to test on the 11th if af has not arrived by then.

Pooley42 · 07/07/2012 17:39

I never made it on to a list but due to test on 18/19 July.

I feel pregnant. Nauseous more than anything which was the first sign with my last two. A little shocked as only first month of trying and I'm 42. Aware it may be wishful thinking do trying to forget about it.

wishfulthinking1 · 07/07/2012 20:12

Hi girls-
Sooooooooooo knackered- v. Busy weekend- had wedding hair trial- it looked so awesome! Getting so excited about wedding now!

So, cd7, I really should begin the shag fest tonight, but might have to wait until tomorrow morning- I'm just too tired. Fx that the epo might do the trick. I liked reading that someone posted above about not worrying too much about actual ov time, just aiming for 3 x a week. That's my plan for this month- 2 weeks shagfest, then all the excitement of the wedding- the 2ww should fly by!

Welcome to newbies- good luck this month!

I can't copy and paste the list, but im defo on for testing at the end of July unless all you buggers mooch off the march antenatal thread and I,m left on my own then I'll have to go to August thread and just hold off testing!

Xxxxx

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 07/07/2012 23:34

Hi pooley welcome to the thread. Hope you are right about your symptoms.

wishful best of luck with the wedding plans. It all sounds so exciting.

I am a bit nervous tonight. I am 8 DPO and have had what I think is I hope to hell is implantation cramps and a tiny bit of spotting (I went looking for it sorry tmi). This is just like last month where I did get pregnant (faint ish positive on 14dpo) but it turned out to be a chem preg.

Now I don't know what to think is this a good sign or is this going to end the same way as last month did. I am going to try and wait till I am 15 DPO if af stays way for that long. Going to be a bag of nerves all week.

winkle2 · 07/07/2012 23:55

Welcome pooley!

Wishful - sorry if you've already said but when is the wedding?

Whenshewasbad - ooh that sounds promising! Good luck!

CD29 here. Still no sign of AF! Where is she and when the hell did I ovulate?! Grrrrr

RIBS · 08/07/2012 00:19

The wedding plans sound great. U must b so excited. I love a good wedding, even a virtual 1. I'll b sat in my best frock and hat on the day imagining it.

Hi newbies, welcome on board. It's been a short visit for some who got bfps in no time.

Winkle. UV maybe got a longer lp that u thought. Mine tends 2 b a massive 18 days. Or, uv got a bfp coming and its just taking its time. Fingers x'd still. Your not out til the old lady turns up!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 08/07/2012 06:48

winkle still no af at 23.55? Does that make Sunday cd30? No idea what your body is up to. A bfn and late af is a cruel combination, have got my fingers crossed for you.

ribs loving the idea of you all dressed up for a virtual wedding, I might join you in a glass of champagne prosecco, am not made of money

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 08/07/2012 07:34

Well this morning the spotting has gone, am starting to think I imagined it. God the 2ww is annoying.

wishfulthinking1 · 08/07/2012 08:38

Morning all-
Cd 8, df is asleep next to me-haven't told him its shag-week yet, and he looks so peaceful when he sleeps... Will wake him in a minute.

winkle- how long are your cycles normally? I remember I think back on the may thread that af was vvv late for you- it's such a stressful time. Fx that this is still your month-when are you going to test again? I would defo use fmu so if you've not already been to the loo today then test test TEST!

whenshewas - good news on the implantation bleeding, even if you had to forage for it!! I wouldn't worry that it's gone now- I think that would be normal- just a bit of spotting then nothing. And please try not to compare it to anything else, like your chemical pg, you'll drive yourself mad. Absolutely no reason to think this would be chem pg at all.

The wedding is on July 21st- two weeks yesterday! Got a few wedding bits to do today post shag

Xx

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 08/07/2012 09:24

Thanks wishful, I keep wanting to compare this to last months chem preg cause I did get pregnant which is good. But then again it ended in a chem preg which is bad.

The only sane course of action is to relax, think what will be will be and test if period is late as if that's going to happen

2 weeks is no time at all. Is everything organized, you seem very relaxed about everything. Fx for an amazing day for you.

kittykatsforever · 08/07/2012 09:30

Morning all!
Whenshewas, that sounds promising!!!
Implantation bleed is just that so you wouldn't expect it to continue, I think it's a good sigh, do you think you can hold off Poas??
Wishful, sounds like you are out of the COD with a vengence! Can we hear details about dress and hair etc up or down? As we don't get to see??
I'm either dpo2 or cd18, not sure so will keep feeding the addiction (Poas) and dtd ( a first) lol Wink

YikesHereWeGo · 08/07/2012 09:39

Morning all!
Sounds like a very exciting time for you, wishful - enjoy all the pampering and build-up. And I'll definitely join in on the virtual version of the wedding crowd, especially if virtual champers is on offer!
pooley - all sounding very promising, although I know what you mean about trying to forget about it in the flippin' 2ww.
I think I'm 8-10dpo today, so thought I'd give one of those FRER tests a shot as they say they can show results up to 6 days before your missed period. It was defo a BFN to start with but then after about 8 minutes of staring at the test in the light next to the window I could have sworn I saw the feintest of feint lines. Or maybe not. Absolutely no idea whether I was imagining things or not, so am going to try my best to save my other test until Tuesday or Wednesday to give it another go (bought a 2-pack). Might give the booze a rest for the next few days just in case. (Had quite a few drinks yesterday on a bit of a pub-crawl round London, including the oldest pub in the city and then ending up at a gig at Shepherds Bush O2. Spent much of the evening secretly hoping that this might be the start of the end of my pub-crawl/gig-going days.)

p.s. COME ON MURRAY!!!

Pooley42 · 08/07/2012 10:08

yikesherewego you sound exactly like me. Not sure I will make it to Wednesday - but I should as £10 for two tests is steep if I keep wasting them :)

I'll wait if you do!

backwardpossom · 08/07/2012 10:26

Fingers are tightly crossed for you yikes!
