hi wunny, don't know if I can help you but didn't want to read and run, so sorry you're going through such a traumatic time, at least you and your dd weren't in the house, you're safe and you're together.
Can the police /social services not point you in the direction of some temporary/emergency housing and support? Could any friends/neighbours help for now? Even if your family aren't near ,if you contact them could they not come to you?
Hope you get sorted out.

OpenMindedSceptic · 02/07/2012 23:20

Wunny, that sounds awful. Are your friends able to help until some emergency accomodation is sorted for you? SOrry i have no clue what to do, hope someone else will be able to advise.

Christelle2207 · 02/07/2012 23:44

What about dp ?

kittykatsforever · 03/07/2012 08:15

Hi wunny, have you been to the police? This has happened to a friend of ours and they set alight to the house as they saw his police uniform upstairs and either panicked or decided to "pay" him back! They should be able to tell you which direction you should take and point you towards help with accomodating, as Irish mentioned is there anywhere nearby that you have friends or family? I have dd age 10 months and would happily send you a care package of toys and clothes if these would be any good? She has plenty I too have loads size 10/12 if they are helpful to you
Don't worry about posessions at the moment alot are replaceable and you may find when you get in the photos etc are ok, it's usually clothes are furniture that are beyond repair from smoke ( alot of computers and cameras can have info retrieved even if damaged)
Is there anything short term we can do to help you poor thing? Cxx
Don't panic about pose

kittykatsforever · 03/07/2012 08:18

Where do you live ( area)?

snickers251 · 03/07/2012 08:31

OP posts:
backwardpossom · 04/07/2012 10:49

Try here - there'll be a talk page on your local site. I'd try starting a topic there. Sorry you're going through this. I'm in Aberdeenshire, so a bit far away to be able to help practically.

wunnybunny · 04/07/2012 10:50

i checked it but its not active

backwardpossom · 04/07/2012 11:13

Ah that's a shame. You could try netmums? Maybe?

RIBS · 04/07/2012 12:56

My god wunny I'm devastated 4u.
Do u have home insurance? They'll pay 4 temporary accommodation. Failing that go 2 local council they should b able 2 put u in temp accommodation, like a b and b.
I hope u get sorted. I hope they get the bastards that did this. Go 2 local paper with dd, a bit of local publicity might bring on some help nearby.
Keep us posted how u get on. x

kittykatsforever · 04/07/2012 13:55

Definatly agree with ribs, go to the local paper, if nothing else it might generate some goodwill with locals who could raley round

redstrawberry · 04/07/2012 13:59

oh no wunny so sorry this happened! Big hug to you.

I wish I could help, have you got some temporary cash in your bank account?
Where do your family live? Is there any chance you can go see them? You really need some tlc at a time like this. I am so glad you weren't in the house!
Are you and dd eating properly? Is DPs family near? xx

wunnybunny · 04/07/2012 15:01
