Wunny you could try going to a local Church to see if they can help, I know our church organises welfare packs for people in situations like yours, xx.

DumSpiroSpero · 05/07/2012 07:50

Do you have Surestart in Scotland? They will probably have or be able to point you in the direction of a food bank so you can at least all eat reasonably.

snickers251 · 05/07/2012 08:16

There's a nationwide charity that gives out food box donations but I cannot think of the name!! Have a google for food donation in your local area and they might be able to help with some basics xxx

wilderumpus · 05/07/2012 14:45

wunny this is truly dreadful, am so sorry.

Have you tried the council reception desk, they should be able to help you with numbers for shelter (although I read you have some altho temp accom is just the pits :() and give you advice on where you can find some food.

I would also try a church even though i am not at all religious but they do do charity and might know who can help you re. food and some tic.

I would also try citizens advice bureau.

Do you have anything at all, do you have access to a bank account, do you not have your purse? Could you go to the bank and ask for a temporary overdraft?

Do you have home insurance, if so you need to call them asap because they might be able to help you.

I hope your family come and get you, tbh if it was my sibling/cousin/child I would be there asap come hell or high than have you guys with no food, dodgy shelter and possibly out on the streets. 50 miles in this instance is not that far? Do they not have a car? x

take care xxx

wunnybunny · 05/07/2012 22:50

none of my family care really

i walked 6 miles to get pads today as af arrived

temp home ok

no home insurance

no money in bank

lost my business

social wont help me

so dp trying for job but they look at like hes a trap in his jeans and t shirt

we have no coats and one set of clothes each

dd has no toys

food is scarce food bank not open here yet

we get one meal a day but dd gets more

so hard to live like this but hope soon life improves

Hi wunnybunny, sorry you're going through such a tough time, wish I could help.
As has been suggested I would try a church ,often there are links with local groups who give practical help .
I know our church has links with the" St Vincent de Paul" who organize food and clothing etc for local families who are in need .
Is your dd at school? Could the school give any support?
Really hope things work out for you

wunnybunny · 05/07/2012 23:27

babyicebean · 05/07/2012 23:36

have nothing like it at all - is there anything else she liked?
Have two girls so have an abundance of pink in the house

kittykatsforever · 06/07/2012 09:22

Hi wunny, keep going, once you have hit rock bottom it can only get better, I have sent you a few things and you will hopefully get them today or tomorrow, follow up the advice from the others in regards to the church etc, maybe ring the Samaritan for advice too? Sending hugs x

wilderumpus · 06/07/2012 09:59

get yourself to the citizens advice bureau wunny, they know everything about everything and are kind people good at fixing problems and have a strong relationship with the coucnil - thery might be able to advocate for better housing for you for a start.

Will think on. Am so sorry you have no family to help you. No friends to take you in and feed you for a night each at all?
x

wilderumpus · 06/07/2012 10:10

This is a heartbreaking story! Is there anything we can do to help?

OliviaLMumsnet · 07/07/2012 10:00

Hi All

We have had a couple of reports about this thread about giving money to other posters so we thought it may be helpful to repeat our general warning about this: "We do advise all our members to be aware that not everyone on t'internet is who they say they are, and that, although we're awed daily by the astonishing support our members give each other through life's trickier twists and turns, we'd always caution anyone never to give more of themselves to another poster, emotionally or financially, than they can afford to spare."

Thanks
MNHQ

Creamtea1 · 09/07/2012 16:22

Just a note to say that anyone thinking about this - the OP posted yesterday asking another mumsnetter for a tracking number of an item she had bought off her, 'so she knew when she had to wait in for it'.
That will be waiting in the burnt out house, obviously.

Londonmrss · 10/07/2012 12:49

Seriously? Still trying to conceive? That's madness.
