sparks it'll be internal, I have mine on Friday...

Bad news here, girls. Mrkeep's sperm again only 3% normal, still ok on other factors. We are both super depressed, and need to await letter from the gynae with recommendations, as we can't go back for a follow up appt. I am thinking we will end up doing self funded icsi, as the Nhs won't Di that until the three year mark.

Sad Sad

SecretSparkle · 23/07/2012 22:46

Oh keep that's rubbish news Sad

ReturnOfTheMunx · 23/07/2012 23:19

Sad keep so sorry to hear that

sparks no they don't hurt, promise. A little uncomfortable at worst, if you are worried you could take some ibrufrofen beforehand? I have had 5 of them and they have all been ok. Promise.

Geeklette · 24/07/2012 07:07

keep that's rotten, I'm so sorry. Even with 3% there's a chance of it occurring naturally though right, as long as your other stats are good/normal (which from your post it sounds like they are)?

sparks I tried that (albeit a lot of years ago) and they said 1) don't worry, they'll improve if I go on the pill Shock - had no intention of doing this at that time, or b) don't worry, they'll improve after I have a baby Shock Shock why the feck do you think I'm seeing you in the first place?! My periods were approx once every six months at the time, so I felt well justified in my visit.

boo how's the head this morning Wink

I went and got me some action last night Sticks aren't yet positive, but looking like they are heading in the right direction. I think last night's was probably borderline SFF rather than SWI, but the first one is always the most difficult to get out of the way.

Going to have to go, I have deflead the house this morning and now I'm sitting in a noxious cloud of nerve agent. Need to go before I start lying on my back on the floor with my legs twitching in the air.

keepitgoing · 24/07/2012 07:44

I suppose there's always a chance, but it seems small. Can't seem to find proper stats. Our gynae said anything over 5% would be ok.

If the Nhs don't class as unexplained they might help us earlier, but we are abroad, and don't think I can keep all this up with so little chance each month.

We will try some acupuncture but there's not much evidence.

geek well done on the sff, you seem to have cracked the mental issue at least...

keepitgoing · 24/07/2012 08:04

maybe, aren't you due today?? Knowing you, you won't be piar though...?

God, I am insanely jealous of people who get pregnant quickly. A school friend just did the fb announcement, she ink got married a few months ago.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/07/2012 08:12

Oh Keep lovely. I'm so sorry to hear your news. But 3% is not 0%. There is a lot of evidence lying around about accu and sperm count. We only have to look to brooker Beantock and MrBean who did fantastically on it. MrMaybe is really enjoying it too, mthough it's too early for us to tell yet.

I am 14 DPO today. Spotting has stopped but I feel crampy. I don't normally get cramps till AF is here so today will be a day of knicker checking as was yesterday

Well done on the shagging front Geek. Not sure I like your use of anti flea stuff as an aphrodisiac though Wink

Sparks I have never had an internal scan, but have been told they feel a bit like a smear. It will be so interesting to see your insides -geek--

I am debating whether to work from home. My train network has just been on the news. Apparently the line is too hot so they are cancelling loads of trains. And that's at 8 in the morning. It's going to be much hotter later. I'm so pleased I am taking the Olympics off!!

Imps7 · 24/07/2012 08:15

Alroight moy lovelies. Beautifully sunny day here.

Keep I am sorry the news was not better. Had Mr Keep been trying to improve his swimmers? Acupuncture may help - you never know. Chin up and keep plugging away (so to speak) - as we Brookers say, low does not mean no.

Well done on the hybrid SFF/SWI! Was it you who said that the run up to ov was always more stressful than the 2ww? With you on that! My lovely OH had stress-related performance issues for 6 months at the start of us agreeing to TTC which means we didn't have a shag in the fertile period one single time during that 6 month spell. It was so upsetting and disheartening for both of us. TTC is far far less stressful now that those issues have been resolved even though we've been trying for a lot longer. Sounds like you have your seduction methods sussex though does it involve marmalade by any chance?

Sparks v glad you're having some tests to get to the bottom of your cycle changes. Hurrah for proactive GPs!

So hands up if you're excited about the OlymPics??? I can't blimin wait!! -esp as it means I get to ogle Cav and Wiggo a bit more. Yes I realise that the latter is not your classic hunk but OMG the power. Swoon.

Imps7 · 24/07/2012 08:19

Ah now re the pregnancy marriage thing - don't feel downhearted if someone gets pregnant soon after the wedding. Remember our dear Stacks - she got pregnant in (I think) her 19th cycle - this happened to be a few months after her wedding. To the untrained eye therefore she is another of those people who are lucky enough to get pregnant v quickly after starting trying post wedding. Things ate not always what they seem!

Imps7 · 24/07/2012 08:22

Maybe, you want to see Geek's insides??? Weirdo!!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/07/2012 08:23

So with you on the Cav front Imps but he is a tad short for me. I can always wear flip flops though. I don't think I am excited about the olympics though. Borris Johnson booms in my ear every morning. though on the upside I got 6 free nature alley bars at Liverpool street asntheynare a sponsor of the Olympics. Winner.

I'm working from home. Fact.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/07/2012 08:23

No Imps I want to see Sparks'* Wink

Aside from that, still chuckling at maybe's idea that I use anti flea treatment as an aphridisiac Grin Good call on the working from home front. I wish I was :( At least it will give you more time for knicker checking, we will need frequent updates in order to determine whether this will be a double or a tripe whammy tuesday!

imps yes, it was me who said it was more stressful pre ov. How did you and MrImps get past the performance/timing stress if you don't mind me asking? The only way I've found so far is to get the ball rolling a week or a so before my sticks are ready, then try to wangle a bit of 'SFF' every two or three days until it's over. Very wise words on the pregnancy/marriage subject, too. We never know what goes on behind closed doors, it can be so hard for us that it's easy to think everyone else has it easy.

I think me and MrGeek are about the only people who will completely miss the olympics - we don't own a tv Grin

Right, who else is confirming their diffedness today???

BeedleTheBard · 24/07/2012 09:27

Woo hoo frootz congratulations Thanks :o :o :o

( I was beginning to think I had started the unluckiest thread ever)

See Frootz I told you that lines on pink tests are actual lines, even the internet cheapies

Geeklette · 24/07/2012 09:29

Also, froot, need to know (in as much TMI as possible) 1) what you did differently this cycle, and 2) what your symptoms were/are Grin

SecretSparkle · 24/07/2012 09:30

Congrats frootz what fabulous news!!
Although you really should have waited for TWT WinkSmile

JenFraggle · 24/07/2012 09:30

I don't think Imps should do her normal display now that she has the octopigs. Don't want her to do herself a mischief.

cartoonface · 24/07/2012 09:38

TWT?
ooooooooo is someone else testing their wee today!
ah frootz so exciting. i know what u mean about the rest of the world carrying on as normal its a strange feeling.
