Eeeek £900 sparks???

SecretSparkle · 23/07/2012 15:26

because they were 60/70 footers, and our neighbours (well two set of them) launched a bit of a hate campaign against us, you've not lived until you have hate mail hand delivered and threats of 'taking matters in to their own hands' weeks before you due to leave the country on honeymoon!! Emergancy Tree Surgeons can change pretty much what they like!!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/07/2012 15:29

Shock Sparks that is crazy!! I think all the brookers should move into the same town. Then we would never have any problems with neighbours Wink

Boo well done you. I prescribe white wine. Stat.

I'm so so tired brookers. Falling asleep at my desk dreaming about dinner. I have decided I need tice in my life, therefore I am making a spicy chorizo and prawn rice dish. God I am starving.

ReturnOfTheMunx · 23/07/2012 15:40

Exciting times in rat smacking land...... Will be checking in tomorrow ;)

Wanted to say to sparks my cycles ranged from 26 to 57 days, and they did check PCOS but it wasn't that. Apparently just one of those things BUT they do take it seriously so I would push the docs to do/redo your day 3 and 21 bloods. They ended up referring me to the fetility clinic on the back of this.

Forgive me if you have already done any of this, just thought I would mention it while I thought.

SecretSparkle · 23/07/2012 15:40

agreed maybe

you should totes be going home though, rest up cus your about to get even more tired on account of being differed!!

Just about to finish work to head to the docs, will let you know how I get on later, although pretty sure they will fob me off with a come back and see us in a couple of months!!!

SecretSparkle · 23/07/2012 15:41

Munx thanks for that, nope haven't had any sort of tests of anything, so actually you saying they took you seriously is really really helpful, although Im glad my cycles are quite that irregular!!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/07/2012 15:43

I don't think they will fob you off on your cycles Sparks it seems the fobbing off comes with mentioning TTC Wink

I am heading off shortly to meet MrMaybe at LIverpool street. Think I am going to have to get some food too, I can't last till dinner!!!

Munx hope you're ok!

Princesslovelyboo · 23/07/2012 15:58

AAh Sparks sorry clearly I have you on my mind, good luck today with the doc (have I at least got that right?)

Geek we kept them down to about 6 ft by chopping the top off every couple of months but i was fed up with them, we have not got a large garden and these trees were taking a good few feet off the end, they had to go, so I thought my AF mood could go to good use Grin luckily we don't share that border with anyone so we didn't have any trouble.

ReturnOfTheMunx · 23/07/2012 16:04

I'm good thanks, am sorting out baby clothes today. 8 weeks to go! Eek!

Pelvis is crumbling, can barely walk but not moaning ;)

Have a great dinner Maybe and good luck at the doctor Sparks if I can be of any use let me know.

Hello to everybody else too

Geeklette · 23/07/2012 16:04

Good luck sparks

boo ours are about 20 feet high approx so maybe getting my ickle axe out probably isn't the best idea, particularly as they are bordering one of our neighbours so if they fall in the wrong direction we will probably have some apologising to do!

Today is really dragging. You're lucky to be able to go early maybe, though by the sounds of it you need to. Is there a preggo symptom you've not displayed this month? If so, we'd best take it off the preggo symptom list since you are clearly a textbook case of diffed :)

Dink-boss is currently trying to micromanage me and it is making me physically itch. I simply refuse to be micromanaged by someone who has no clue what I should be doing, or how long my work takes to do!

Princesslovelyboo · 23/07/2012 16:13

Aah Geek yes they are a little biger than mine, I took a saw to the very base of mine, sawed halfway through then pulled the buggers down!!!! Twas very satisfying :) I need to get some diesel or root rot on the bits I have left behind but as they are at ground level, I now have a much bigger garden to play in Grin

Maybe I am going to ask very nicely as you are clearly in a delecate situation, FFS WOMAN WHEN WILL YOU POAS!! or piar, we don't mind either way!!

Hello Munx I don't think we have realy met yet, congrats on the impending sneeze birth :)

Right Y'all, I think I was prescribed wine, I don't want to let anyone down :)

SecretSparkle · 23/07/2012 16:23

boo I thought you were t-total?!

Waiting at the docs!! We got here early, how very annoying that my appt clearly coincides with one of the midwife clinics!! DH being a bitchy about some of the diffed ladies "well we can rule out your weight as one of our problems" Hmm normally me saying stuff like that!!!

Geeklette · 23/07/2012 16:39

hahaha sparks that sounds exactly like me and MrGeek!!

boo what are you going to do with the bits you have chopped down? Do you get to have a huge bonfire?

SecretSparkle · 23/07/2012 16:59

Ok good news and bad news!!

Good news is the doctor was lovely lovely lovely, not a locum like a thought as I've seen her before about reoccurring headaches (that don't reoccur anymore) anyway she took me very seriously she said that it might still be my body getting used to being off the pill and it's not a huge cause for concern as even though my cycle are irregular I am having a period BUT she said that as I'm concerned about it then she's willing refer me for a full blood work up and a scan (not sure what sort of bloods or scan though!! Any idea?

Bad news is that because me and DH full within an age bracket and are generally healthy people we wont be referred for any further testing until we've been trying for 2 years

But one step at a time, have my blood test booked in tomorrow at lunch time, is it worth mentioning to my super lovely boss what's happening? As I shall need to disappear at lunch time

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 23/07/2012 17:19

sparks our PCT makes you wait 2 years too, but she did say because of the time it takes for a referral to come through, she'd refer us at about 18 months if we went back then - so it's maybe not as far away as it sounds. Faberoo news on the scan, though, good luck!

8 weeks, goodness! How time flies! Are you all ready? :)

Hello to all the brookers as well - I'm brooking for a TWT! :)

Princesslovelyboo · 23/07/2012 17:24

Oh Sparks your Dr sounds lovely!! You don't have to tell boss why you are going but you can tell them where!! And while i have your attention, yes i am completely t total, not a drop does pass my lips also a terrible liar and responsible for many drunken ramblings Grin

Geek we have a local council compost dumping place when take all your garden waste :) no camp fire for us.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/07/2012 17:51

Oh Sparks good news. The bloods will be day 3 and 21 and the scan will be of your ovaries to check for cysts.

Quick post as have to take pup out.

Princesslovelyboo · 23/07/2012 18:01

snaffles lager shandy before sparks sees me sorry no shandy for me I am t total after all!

SecretSparkle · 23/07/2012 18:01

I assumed it was the day 3 test BUT she didn't actually ask me what cycle day I was on and just told me to book my blood test as soon as possible, Hmm but I ent gonna complain, I'll ask the blood lady what she's taking samples for tomorrow and then wait patiently for the results!! I assume the scan is a through the skin one not a fanjo one?!

Geeklette · 23/07/2012 18:01

That's great news sparks, you'll be ahead of me at this rate! Still waiting on my day 3 bloods (which it looks like won't now be taken) and I haven't yet had a scan, either. You also won't need to worry about the two year thing, because by then you'll have your own little brooking baby in your arms.

boo our council insists on trimmings not being over certain diameters, I think it's 10cm, so that's our monstrosities out. You'll be seeing the smoke signals from where you live when we burn them!

SecretSparkle · 23/07/2012 18:02

booHmm you're getting quite the reputation!!!

SecretSparkle · 23/07/2012 18:04

geek apparently all you need to do is tell you doc your periods are irregular Hmm

SweetieDoesIt · 23/07/2012 20:29

Great news Sparks, sounds like very luffly GP. I would think scan will be with fanjocam to fully check ovaries etc.

ReturnOfTheMunx · 23/07/2012 20:57

Good news about having a lovely doctor. The scan will be internal, mine was to check ovaries and also thickness of lining and so on. They can rule out PCOS this way. I ended up being diagnosed as having ovulation failure... But I strongly believe the power of the Brookers helped me to overcome the obstacle.

Best of luck, you are now in the system which is brilliant news.

SecretSparkle · 23/07/2012 21:34

Does an internal scan hurt?
Contemplating taking a half day tomorrow, and then using the other half day for my scan!! Not sure work will allow me heaps of time off for fertility tests without dipping in to my annual leave!!
