sparks I have found the best remedy for a husband/partner who doesn't respect the lace is to read the pattern out loud in place of responding to the question, eg

DP: "Did I tell you about the idiot when I got fuel?"
Me: "...three... four... yarn over... one... two... make one... three... four... no dear... one... two..."

It works every time :)

Geeklette · 17/07/2012 20:02

sweetie do they operate cancellation lists do you think? The woman I spoke to says she can't even make appointments (Really? The Cons' Secretary can't make appointments with the Cons?), all she can do is email 'the call centre' whoever they are.

Have decided to use the time to make a 'two fingers' BFP (the best kind of ironic one)

SweetieDoesIt · 17/07/2012 20:15

Thanks for your lovely words ladies, I am a bit shell shocked but have nothing to lose by giving the treatment a go. We go for our nurses appointment mid Aug to discuss when we start. I expect it to be end Aug or the next cycle. We have decided to take things at a step at a time and not get ahead of ourselves.

Keep the number of follicles vary but at my age I should have at least 5, but the younger you are the more you have, 10 or 15. So the lower number are a sign of reduce egg reserves.

I am not a crafter but went around and my Mum has knitted loads of Olympic sports people. I was very taken with the gymnast. Sparks good luck with the lace knitting - sounds very complex and not what I would consider relaxing!!

Geek well done on the weight loss, that special diet obviously working. My clinic have a "system" where you have to ring regularly as they get a lot of cancellations due to the nature of what they do. It is a case of falling lucky but worth a go.

SecretSparkle · 17/07/2012 20:20

Implements geeks diet with immediate effect!! Feel lighter already!!

Loopyhasanotherbean · 17/07/2012 20:35

sweetie i don't know the rules, but can you not bypass the NHS list for egg donors, but still have NHS IVF? someone i got to know on here had a baby when i had DS, and i know that she recently donated eggs for others to use in IVF (she had had quite a few children and has no plans to have any more but wanted to help others).

NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/07/2012 21:14

Oh Sweetie I am so sorry to hear your news. But surely this doesn't mean you won't respond to drugs? I hope you found your chocolate. We are here for lots of brooking and hand holding.

Geek am loving the new diet, I think you should bring out a book.

Whims WI = weight in. I think.

Sparks make DH work nights. You get lots of peace and quiet Wink

BartletForAmerica · 17/07/2012 21:22

Just a quiet and cautious hello from me. Trying not to stress too much so can't really think about this thread much (but did enjoy planning cartoon's wedding for her yesterday!) but I am Brooking for you all. Early scan today went fine, so we'll see how things go at the next one. Going to dash off again, but hope to be back to chat again soon. Will keep lurking for all the BFPs at the end of this 2WW for you all.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/07/2012 21:34

Oh Bartlet that is just the best news. Totally understandable taking a step back, bt we are all brooking for you x

Imps7 · 17/07/2012 21:38

Arg Geek I didn't know WI was Weigh In - I just came up with 2 random words for comic effect. Sorry, I wasn't in the slightest bit trying to be indelicate Blush. What an unfortunate choice of words Blush. So sorry.

Bartlet, good news re early scan - can't believe that the Tripe Whammy Friday trio are already at early scan stage - that glorious day seems like only yesterday.

D'oh have forgotten all other posts - back in a mo...

SecretSparkle · 17/07/2012 22:42

imps I wouldn't apologies for that, pretty sure whenever I go near the scales I get wobbly innards!!! GrinGrin

Geeklette · 17/07/2012 23:13

bartlet don't worry about being quiet and cautious, you deserve it. So fab to hear that your scan went well, and all is as it should be. Looking forward to the next instalment!

imps oh my sweetheart, don't you worry please - I found it really funny that WI could stand for wobbly innards. In my case, wobbly outards is probably more realistic but hey ho! No offence taken, and as I thought you knew what WI was and were making a joke I also hope that no offence was given (from me to you) about how delicately you put my wobbly bits.

Erm... not literally...

Geeklette · 18/07/2012 07:01

ohhh my head

SecretSparkle · 18/07/2012 07:05

Oh dear geek little sore this morning?

I'm inclined to believe I'm not diffed, temp dropped again this morning, i anticipate another major drop tomorrow and the AF to arrive bang on time!!

keepitgoing · 18/07/2012 07:53

Ffs, sparks, I am tired of this for all of us.
I read a load of articles last night about sperm morphology and depressed the hello out of myself.
But at least cbfm is not on peak yet, so I haven't missed this months boat for my hsg.

Dh has agreed to do acupuncture in Thailand. There are some scientists who say it helps, others that there's no evidence. Worth a shot, though

keepitgoing · 18/07/2012 07:56

Any other news, imps or other tww-ers?

bartlett so happy for you!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 18/07/2012 07:58

Morning all

Sparks I am not going up hope on you yet. I too am tired of this whole thing.

Keep say away from dr google. I am a scientist and I can say the accu has worked for me in that I ov'd 3 days early Wink

Geek I prescribe a bacon sarnie. Sauce of your choice.

I feel like death today. I have been having strange womble cramps which are worse today, I'm so tired I can hardly get up and I have a raging sore throat. I have been feeling so well since the accu started Sad

SecretSparkle · 18/07/2012 07:59

keep I dare not start reading about what happens after 12 months, I've been watching everyone's experiences with consultants etc and just not willing to accept it quite yet, I've still got 3 cycles, surely I'll be diffed by then?!

Least DH has agreed to do acupuncture, I asked my hubby if he'd consider it, he said yes BUT only if the doctor advises it Hmm

The other thing that's pissing me off is these stupid 'ghost symptoms' I promised myself I wouldn't symptom spot!!!!

keepitgoing · 18/07/2012 08:04

Mine only said yes as he feels bad as its his 'fault', he thinks. I reckon its prob a combination of factors.
maybe that could be good news...
sparks you'll get there in the next three months, brooking!

keepitgoing · 18/07/2012 08:05

Ps what are your ghost symptoms?

Imps7 · 18/07/2012 08:30

Oooooof the piglets are giving me gip this morning. I am the size of a house and look ready to pop already. Pesky children.

Sparks, worry ye not about things. Baby Sparks is just making sure the timing is absolutely perfect. She is well worth waiting for (yes, I know for fact she will be a girl).

Geek, super well done on the pissedness weight loss. Let me know when the next weigh in is and I will make sure I insult you again Grin

Maybe can you kick back with a jigsaw puzzle today or otherwise put your feet up? Pregnancy is tough n'est-ce pas?

Boo I looked at your wedding photos last night - gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!! Stunning frock - excellent choice.

Geek do you have a date for your wedding yet?

Pant snot remained weird for the rest of the day yesterday which is further evidence of the 8 piglets due to join this world in 36 weeks. Better start looking for an 8-baby buggy and carrier...

SecretSparkle · 18/07/2012 08:32

maybe i feel like a far cry from yesterdays positiveness!!

Keep Ive had a headache, and feel a bit sick, and I keep kidding myself that my boobs are sore, then theres the uncontrollable emotions but I think that might be more down to the looming disappointment! And the fainting episode, I can't pretend that I didnt get mildly excited!!

SecretSparkle · 18/07/2012 08:33

least I dont have to worry about loosing my figure :o

cartoonface · 18/07/2012 08:50

JenFraggle · 18/07/2012 09:11
