Right ladies, I have put wedding pics on my profile thingy on here if you want to nosey have a little peek (hope I have done it right!) and just for educational informative purposes is my new friend Magic Mike Grin

Imps how are you feeling with those 8 babies in there??

JenFraggle · 17/07/2012 12:59

Was that an Alfred Angelo dress Boo?

Princesslovelyboo · 17/07/2012 13:02

Yeah, do you know that cos it is lovely or really common?? Wink

JenFraggle · 17/07/2012 13:39

I was a member of a wedding forum before joining Mumsnet so got to know that Alfred Angelo are the main ones that make coloured dresses :)

Princesslovelyboo · 17/07/2012 13:45

Ahh I see! The girls were not in AA dresses though, we got them off the peg in a designer outlet, only about £20 each iirc. Ooh looking through the pics to find those 4 has really brought back some lovely memories!

SecretSparkle · 17/07/2012 14:06

boo I thought we were going to be dress twins then!!! Mine (and my bridesmaids) were AA, except mine was all ivory thanks to a mess up from the dress maker!!!

On a side note if one more person asks me if I'm pregnant today I might smack someone AngryAngryAngry

keepitgoing · 17/07/2012 14:10

No sparks, they are just a couple of days ahead of the pee sticks. Clearly you are giving off preggo vibes!

Princesslovelyboo · 17/07/2012 14:16

Ooh Sparks don't get violent just because they are commenting on the blindingly obvious, though i think i would have been murderous if my dress shop messed up on my wedding dress!!

Geeklette · 17/07/2012 15:04

Ok, so now I'm a little cross. Rang up to arrange the consultant's appointment on the number the consultant's assisting nurse gave me as 'they can get you an appointment quicker, without you having to go back into the waiting list queue' only to be told that all they can do is get in touch with the 'call centre' who can put me in the queue, but not to hold my hopes out for a quick appt, I'll be lucky if I can be seen before October. So much for 18 bloody weeks.

Princesslovelyboo · 17/07/2012 15:22

Oh Geek that's awful, I hate it when you get messed about by a jobsworth twunt!!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/07/2012 16:01

Geek that's terrible. Call them back and quote the NHS '16 week guidline' I am fairly sure they have to stick to that or accomodate your treatment elsewhere.

Boo my bridesmaids wore AA. They make lovely dresses.

Sparks maybe this is the way forward. We no longer need pee sticks, just the twunts around us Wink

Imps 8 sproglets. You are going to have your work cut out my dear Grin

Imps7 · 17/07/2012 16:25

Oooofff I feel so rough. You can't even begin to imagine what it's like to have 32 arms and legs punching and kicking your innards. These 8 are a handful alright.

Sweetie give us the name and address and we'll go and sort them out for you...

SecretSparkle · 17/07/2012 16:43

geek that's out of order!! Angry agreed, stated the guidelines to them, see what they have to say for themselves!!

imps all those limbs, it's amazing your still on your feet to be honest!!

maybe yes I believe I no longer require hpts and can in fact rely on those around me!! Mind you imagine if I was then my colleagues would have a 100% accuracy rate, more that frer!!

whimsicalname · 17/07/2012 16:46

Wow, your dress is really like mine was boo, but mine had a pink insert in the train, with spangles on it too. What excellent taste we all have!

Are you sure it's only 8 imps? We have piglets at the city farm and I always feel broody for a litter of piggies when I see them. I think they can do up to 14. So many nipples!

Solars · 17/07/2012 17:22

Hello brooksters!

Octomum Imps you take it easy now!

Geek how annoying and shocking you have to wait so long, I can kick some a** if you like! Is it worth speaking to the nurse again asking if she can help? Btw I'm also not in the 2ww, only on cd7 here.

Ahhh Boo looking lovely on your wedding day!

Sweetie how did the consultation go? Hope you got your questions answered. I saw my gp today about our ivf rejection letter and she was very lovely about it and felt quite outraged that we had been rejected just because I'm 2 months short of 40. She will write to our pct but she did warn me that nothing may come of it anyway.

Geeklette · 17/07/2012 17:56

Thanks for your support ladies, I think we should form up, get ourselves some Brooking Cheering Squad uniforms and march into the various twunty cons/dr/ offices en masse - we'd soon get some results! We can do solars consultant first, then my cons' secretaries.

Tried to no avail to get an earlier appointment - the waiting list is just as long as it is, there is apparently nothing I can do to get in any earlier, there are just a lot of people wanting to see him. He also has a three week holiday booked for September which isn't helping. The guideline is just a guideline and they can do nothing about waiting lists, we just have to wait our turn. We should hear with our appointment date some time in the next couple of weeks.

Also tried to get my blood test results from my drs, only to find out that they are back, but not yet checked. On my second phone call to them I managed to get the receptionist to speak to a dr, only for that dr to say they thought it best if the dr it was marked for gave me the results, so now I have to wait til tomorrow just to find out a bloody figure of a hormone level.

imps you are most definitely in the Brooking Cheering Squad, anyone who can do those gymnastics with eight inside them goes straight to the head of the class!

Tonight is WI night then I warn you all in advance I am having a bottle of frascati all to myself by way of self-medication for a seriously shit day so I may be doing boo style drunken posts later again Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/07/2012 18:30

Geek I first read this as you meaning womens institute Grin please pour me a glass, it would be most welcome. I still can't believe that re your appointment. Good luck for your results tomorrow.

Sweetie any news yet?

Solars how are you?

I demand you rest Imps it's not good for the piglets babies.

Whims you make me Grin

Geeklette · 17/07/2012 18:34

Damn, I have outed myself. I am actually a 90 year old. Do you think that is where I am going wrong on my TTC journey?

SweetieDoesIt · 17/07/2012 18:35

geek can you go on a cancellation list? Or ring frequently to get any appointment that comes up? Looking forward to the drunken posts later Wink

Solars sorry your appeal has been rejected, but you must not give up after all you have been through. Sounds like the GP is very much on your side.

Well my consultation didn't go well. My blood results were back, FSH 8 & LH 4 - so that is good. But because I only have 2 follicles it is unlikely I will respond to the IVF treatment, apparently I will be lucky to get any eggs to retrieve and very lucky to get any put back. My option would be egg donor but there is a 3 year wait for NHS donor so I would be over 40 and in eligible for NHS funded IVF anyway. I don't know much about follicles and the likelihood they will respond under the short protocol. But I suppose we have to go for it as nothing to lose.

whimsicalname · 17/07/2012 18:41

If WI doesn't stand for Women's Inst, what does it stand for?

Imps7 · 17/07/2012 18:46

Wobbly Innards.

Oh Sweetie .

Princesslovelyboo · 17/07/2012 18:50

Oh Sweetie I am sorry about your news, we will brook until you prove but the twunts wrong!

Not sure if i am pleased to be the brooking bench mark for drunk posting Grin

SecretSparkle · 17/07/2012 19:39

Oh sweetie sorry that it wasn't good news!! Hope you found that chocolate you were looking for, let's face it though brooking has proved docs wrong in the past!!

I'm selling my husband, any takers? Doesn't he know of I'm knitting lace I absolutely mustn't be disturbed?!?

keepitgoing · 17/07/2012 19:45

I don't get it sweetie, do we normally get lots of follicles? You're not on any drugs so why would you have more than two? Anyway, I'm so sorry for the bad news, but as you say, go for it. You're a brooker after all.
Re egg donation, I wonder if you have a relative, big ask but I'd do it in a flash for my sister (not that she needs it, she of the pg second month, and who's to know mine are any good, but you know what I mean). When can you start ivf?

solars boo to cut offs and lack of clarity. Do you have the option to self fund if its a real no?

Geeklette · 17/07/2012 19:54

Sweetie I'm sorry your news wasn't what you hoped to hear :( Your levels seem good but I have no knowledge about the number of follicles. Can they give you medication to increase the number? Sorry, I'm not much help but at least I can hand hold Confused

whims WI is the dreaded weigh-in. Or as Imps so delicately puts it Grin

sorry, memory is failing me and I haven't even hit the wine yet. Whoever asked, the cat food I sprayed in my face was the wet stuff. I ripped the top off the sachet too vigorously and it gave me a good faceful.

New diet tactics - drink copious quantities of wine, have cheese burger and chips the night before WI and shedloads of ice cream on a daily basis. I lost half a pound Grin

boo you have set a very high standard but I promise to at least try to match your drunken posts
