Welcome to the 2.30 from Mumsnet Towers. The fillies have been groomed to within an inch of their lives and are raring to go.

Late entries for the race are required to locate and fill in the BESHtionnaire so that their form can be assessed.

Bring on the stallions!

Wooooo!

Northey · 25/07/2012 22:28

That's very decent of you in this heat, faith!

HaveALittleFaith · 25/07/2012 22:35

Well someone else is baking but I'm not convinced they'll be able to sort gluten free for me. So I baked!

Northey · 25/07/2012 22:50

So it was greed as well as altruism? That's my girl :)

Oh the poor soul. It is dreadful feeling like that about a job. How did you leave things? Sometimes having an enormous wobble leaves people feeling slightly more balanced and able to try things. Is he that sort of person, do you think?

And :( for you as well. It's rubbish feeling helpless and remote.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 26/07/2012 07:13

Oh FSR I came on here to congratulate you on the best name change eva, but I see there is more serious stuff to attend to. So sorry about the job stress and even more that you can't really do a thing. That is rubbish. I really hope HWNN will be able to work something out with his boss, or that he's stressing unnecessarily. It does sound like he is an amazing employee, although that is no good if you're his partner and see him working too much. Poor you :( Is it at least Frankel day today, so you can have something cheery?

And well done for gluten-free gluttonay, faif! Did you ice them this morning?

I am about to go to a cd3 scan, which with the stop-starting on Tuesday is a cd2 scan in terms of blood. JOY.

Ouch fsr. Is he speaking to the boss today? Sounds horrible. Do you know why hes so worried he won't cope?

driz, cd2 tvs sounds pretty grim. You won't be the first of course, but I know what you mean- it just adds a whole new dimension of badness to it all.

Am totally ready for the weekend. Am currently in bed writing this, when should really be up, showered and going out the door. Sigh. Work yesterday was just one pregnant woman after another, interspersed with a woman with a newborn. Today will not be, thank god.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 26/07/2012 07:28

Xpost fsr.

Would he be able to move sideways in his job, no getting the big promotion, but moving home more permanently?

I have friends who live apart from their partners, short term pain, long term gain etc, but it looks really tough.

Fingers crossed something nice and base-based can be found for HWNN, frankel as you really deserve some time together. I am Shock about coping with the long-distance thing for so long. And poor but wonderful HWNN, it is time he gets to enjoy your company!

Meanwhile have muchos fun with TheRealFrankel later.

My cd2/3 scan was bloody, very bloody. But the content of it was good - many follies, which mean (hopefully) that once the body figures out this baby making malarky we can continue to have them forever more. Starting to inject this evening Shock

eurochick · 26/07/2012 09:38

That sounds really tough for him, FSR. The long distance thing must be enormously difficult. He sounds like a lovely man.

My BiL is in the army and ends up moving from base to base every couple of years. that kind of life was probably not too bad when officers had non-working wives who trailed around after them, but causes huge disruption for my SiL's career (she is never in one place long enough to be entitled to mat leave for one thing) and his stepson's schooling.

Good news drizz.

On a lighter note, I just watched the Olympic flame pass my office. That was quite a good start to the day!

queenrollo · 26/07/2012 09:58

FSR it's not the same because HOLB isn't military but he has been having a really rubbish time at work, and has felt so de-moralised and stressed by it all. He even sat and cried one day working from home when his boss sent him a stroppy e-mail. It's really not like him to be so affected by work and so I think I understand a little from your point of view how hard it is to have to sit by and offer nothing more than a listening ear. My husband is also a perfectionist in his work and highly regarded in his wider sector so for his boss to treat him the way he is has been very hard to cope with.

I've been popping in and reading but you do talk a lot in here! I'm feeling OK, had my booking in with the M/W yesterday which was much better than I feared. Just waiting for my 12 week scan now.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 26/07/2012 10:53

Glad you're ok euro, when's the 12 week scan?

Beshes, we're up to 940 posts. What shall our next fred topic be?

KickTheGuru · 26/07/2012 11:32

Frankle that sounds absolutely rubbish but awesome that you have the kind of relationship where you still thank each other for the support. We've only just got married (November last year) but we both try to make sure the other knows when we appreciate them. Even if it's a thanks for cleaning or for sitting together and chatting.

I hope he manages to sort things out. There is nothing worse on either side than feeling helpless... :(

I have a congratulations to pass on but need to gather my green monster. Third cycle and diffed

KickTheGuru · 26/07/2012 11:37

Wow Frankle el horso looks amazing. My dad used to own race horses but I think he was more into it for the flowers and the whiskey Grin

Oh dear. I have just discovered the hospital kitchen sells ice-lollies.

My boss has just bought me a Cornetto. Yum!

No 12 week scan for me, sinking! If only.

FSR the visit sounds great. I hope your man finds a solution that works for you both.

kick that's how it's supposed to happen - a couple of cycles of fun trying and then diffed.

Frankel When do you see him again to perhaps discuss in person?

I know. Sorry but how fucking unfair is that?!! Couple cycles of "fun" and voila! And they bitch and moan for those two cycles about how long it takes!!! Hmm Envy

FrankelSaysRelax · 26/07/2012 14:20

He's back on Monday but I don't see him till next Friday. He had to give them an answer today.

I think I'm going to ask MN Towers to delete my posts on this, I don't want to cause HWHNN any problems.

KickTheGuru · 26/07/2012 14:24

Good plan.

I was talking to myself anyway. ;)
