thecat sending you a big hug and hoping you are feeling more positive. There is pressure but know you are doing all you can to make this happen. I really missed the gym one my first cycle as well but it really is best to rest up and give them the best chance to implant. Best of luck for tomorrow.

pocket yay for potential donor EC and transfer. Not long now.

Sorry for the delay in replying but had a tough day yesterday. When they called saturday morning they said none of the embies had reached blast and even after re-checking at lunchtime they hadnt progressed, so they wanted to leave them till day six. Thankfully we got the call this am to say we had two blats - one good and one average - and by the time they did the transfer they were both hatching. So I'm officially PUPO!! Very relieved we made it in the end and now officially on sofa surfing duty - well, aside from the six hourly tablets I have to take (incl through the night) Shock

Hope everyone else's days have gone well. Xx

Pocket1 · 07/10/2012 19:49

Yay Mini great news - after a bit if a hairy delay! Hope your 2ww passes quickly and uneventfully. Smile

What meds are you in 6-hourly btw?

Hoophopes · 07/10/2012 19:56

Great news Mini - 2 hatching is excellent! hope all goes well on 2ww.

Best wishes for you Cat

MiniH · 08/10/2012 06:28

pocket it's something called ritrodine. Stops premature labour I think but has to be taken 12 and six - hence why I am awake so early!!

Pocket1 · 08/10/2012 06:57

Mini thanks for that. Not heard of it before. Hope the bench is ok so far! Cat will be along in a bit to join you.

Cat hope today goes okay for you. Deep breathes all the way through and you'll be fine.

Waves to everyone

A while new week to keep on believing

A very quick one to say:

YAY for Mini you're PUPO and 2 hatching blasts sounds brilliant! Sounds like every stage of your cycle comes with its own mini-trauma but each one has also ended with a great outcome and I'm sure the 2WW will too. What's your survival strategy for the next bit?

Cat the tension can really get to you can't it, but you can handle it. Best of luck for a brilliant transfer today and they you can join Mini in the loony bin waiting game. Laugh in the face of biscuits stress - just do things that make you feel good, laugh and relax.

Biscuit Biscuit to everyone else xx

pocket, mini, hoops and mo thank youSO MUCH for taking the time to reply to my wobble and reassuring me. Transfer is done and was OK - the poor dr did have to rummage around in my frangipani for about 15 mins trying to find my cervix but we got there in the end! So am now carrying 2 embies in me! So cool, also proper mad that the potential for twins is there... Blimey! Could be fun though right??!! My cat is doing her bit by sleeping on top of my womb and keeping me warm.

pocket I have got zita west and listened to her about 4 times yesterday! Also went for a nice walk and met with a friend so by the end of the day felt much calmer. You are so right about the gym, it doesn't matter and we do want to be bigger with bumps now anyway!

mini I'm with you on the sofa, I bought myself Caitlin moran's new book to make me giggle and plan on watching lots of comedies. My acupuncturist told me to stay away from the computer cos of radiation which is interesting and nigh on impossible.. Good luck to you, enjoy resting.

Scrummybump · 08/10/2012 18:10

Congratulations mini for being PUPO! It's been full on until now, so enjoy the break from the clinic and look after your embies. Smile

BadgerFace · 08/10/2012 18:45

Hurray for Mini and Cat having embies on board!! And two - you are brave! My sister-in-law has twin IVF boys (now 8!). A handful at times but utterly gorgeous.

Good luck on the 2ww, I have my fingers crossed for you both. Will wait to hear how long before you are BiscuitBiscuit poking in public... Grin

Pocket1 · 08/10/2012 19:19

lastboxoftampons · 08/10/2012 20:41

hello all...may I come in to ask a question, please? Smile

We've been ttc #2 going on 10 months now. I have a short LP with lots of spotting (sometimes my entire LP!). I've had bloods done on the NHS, both when we were TTC DS and again this time around. All have shown normal hormone levels. I've had a scan, no structural issues, fibroids, polyps, etc. Smear came back normal, etc. GP keeps assuring me that all is normal, though it's obviously not. DH had an SA done when TTC #1 which showed poor morph. He's just gone for another this morning.

I'm 8dpo with quite a bit of spotting today, so it's kind of the last straw for me. I've had to work hard to get where I've gotten with the NHS and even then, I don't think the tests were done accurately (ie, blood drawn on CD 19 regardless of ovulation, etc). So we think we'd like to have a consulation with a private care RE or GYN.

For one, I'm not sure of the next steps, but also wondered if any of you ladies could suggest someone to see in London?

Many thanks for all of your advice - I really appreciate it!

MoJangled · 08/10/2012 20:43

Yay Cat ! 2 good transfers in 2 days, this thread is definitely heading in a good direction. The Zita tapes are a lifeline, and you feel like you're pro-actively managing your stress levels; good choice.

Pocket thanks for the projesterone jab tips. I'm currently wrapping the vial in my microwave hotpack before injecting to get it good and warm and runny. In fact, I'm wondering if I'm overdoing it! Did you find some of the oil leaked back out while you were cursing in agony massaging the area? I always end up with an oily paper towel and hope that most of it's ending up in the right place. How are you feeling heading into the next lap?

My 6 week scan is tomorrow morning. I'm more nervous about it than I was about the blood test. It increasingly feels like getting a BFP, massive battle though that is, is only half the war and hanging onto it requires just as much luck/effort/willpower/alchemy as getting upduffed in the first place...

so v anxious Biscuit Biscuit to all xx

Mo GOOD LUCK tomorrow!

Hello to Last. I'm afraid I don't know about private clinics but some of the other lovely ladies will be along with good advice soon I have no doubt. Has your GP been doing all of your tests so far? If so, you should push for them to refer you to a fertility clinic as I found my GP knew very little about fertility (I had similar issues with being sent for blood tests on the wrong day etc). Good luck and you'll find lots of support on this thread whatever steps you decide to take.

Hoophopes · 08/10/2012 21:53

Mo all the best for scan tomorrow!

Last - it is encouraging your blood test appeared ok, but understand that timings are not always right with your cycle. However, you have done very well to get blood and SA tests from the NHS after 10mths ttc and especially with having one child already.

You mention going private - well the NHS might do some basic tests, but there is no NHS funding for treatment even if they find an issue once you already have one child so that appears the only way to find answers or get treatment. Each area has different NHS criteria - some areas offer no treatment for fertility, some one cycle of IVF as a maximum, others the full NICE guidelines 3 cycles (but if you conceive on one of the cycles that is it for funding, they don't fund once one pregnancy is successful.) Also NHS don't refer until 12mths ttc unless you are over 35. Lots of people used London clinics here - ARGC, the Lister are two that are mentioned lots here. There is also the Zita West clinic and I know there are a few more people have used that they may recommend.

Hoophopes · 08/10/2012 21:55

last is dh taking any supplements to improve his morph? That can make a difference and is often recommended by private clinics. However, it takes 3 months for semen to "refresh" so will take a few months to show any difference. My dh's results improved massively after several months on supplements.

gingernutdreams · 08/10/2012 21:55

Mo, Thanks so much for your words, you always know the right thing to say! I do need to start pampering myself I think, and DH and I made a good start at the weekend with a lovely day out in Chester, with a pub lunch, walk in the sunshine and bellini cocktails in the evening. All in all it was a really good distraction and great to spend some quality time together.
As for you, I hope all goes well with your scan tomorrow, but I'm sure all will be fine. Will you get a picture of the scan do you know?

TheCat, I am so glad you feel better and have put that beating stick away. Yey to the 2 embies and being pupo! Hope the bench/2ww treats you well and you manage to keep yourself distracted and not worry too much. You are doing a grand job, so keep believing! Smile

Yey Mini also on having 2 embies on board! Sending you and Cat lovely sticky burrowing vibes.

Good luck Lastbox, hope you find some answers and a good clinic in London to help you out. This process is so frustrating, and I too have struggled to try and get some answers but DH and I have got no further than the diagnosis of "unexplained infertility", despite endless tests. We have a review booked in Nov where we intend to ask if there are any more tests (particularly immunes) that we can do before I launch into another cycle with our frozen embies.

Hello to all you other lovely ladies! Smile

MiniH · 09/10/2012 07:30

Mo good luck for the scan. Xx

MoJangled · 09/10/2012 08:53

Scan showed an empty sac and no heartbeat. Size consistent with about 5 wks. And a large bleed visible. Looks like the bleeding I had last week killed the baby.
