kitty tiddley flowery

I recently stopped bf dd too. Had one period, then a chem preg and an on period at moment (was late this month due to chem preg).

Hope there is some truth in increased fertility after bf but I am wondering if there is also an increased risk of mc. I really hope not, off to consult dr google.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 17/06/2012 10:59

V quick search would seem to suggest no. There is no link phew

Sorry guys don't know what I was thinking posting such as depressing post, looks like mental ttc brain has hit me early this month am only cd5 normally don't go nuts till cd11.

Best of luck to you all.

FloweryBoots · 17/06/2012 11:11

I remember my Mum telling me that there is an increased incidence of twins if getting preg first syble after mc. No idea if she was talking out of her hat or if that's true though! Can't think how we got onto it, neither of us havng been in that possituation.

Kity, very envious your LO stopped feeding in the night so young. I axed the night feeds with DS about 9 - 10 months and it was a hellish process! Took until about 19 months before DS started sleeping through, and only recently been able to get him to go to sleep without me sitting with him. The little rascal!

FloweryBoots · 17/06/2012 11:12

Can't type! Should be first CYCLE (no idea what a sylbe is!)

tiddleypompom · 17/06/2012 12:24

Kitty - name of your bible please!

Hmm well can't test tomorrow as s/market have run out of tests! It's you lot isn't it?!

However - am light headed & just today have nasty taste in my mouth. V suspect. Could be imagining of course v likely

Did anyone cave in today or are most too early in cycle?.

winkle2 · 17/06/2012 12:37

Feeling much better today - thanks all for well wishes :)

Cd 9 here and still on low fertility according to monitor so no dtd just yet. Want to start late and finish late this month as previously we've started too early and been knackered by the crucial time.

Whenshe was- what were you thinking, we only listen to old wives tales that are benificial to us!!!!!
Winkle glad your feeling better, I did the same first time, was renewed with enthusiasm to try after every af then by the time ov cd17-19 in my case was sick to the back teeth, later and more defo the way to go!
Tiddley- book is called the sensational baby sleep plan by Alison Scott wright, im not one for books as I dont like restricting myself to set times like the contented baby etc but friend recommended it to use as a guide so basically follow it but don't get bogged down if they don't follow it exactly but it's so easy really flexible and dd was sleeping 12-14 hrs straight through by wk 10 no lies honistly! It's worked for everyone I know whose tried but it is best from early baby although does have a section from 4 months onwards, I couldn't recommend it enough especially as bf and was told they don't sleep as well- it seems common sence now the advice but with first you have no idea how often to feed etc so was a huge help to me ( dd was a nightmare at nighttime to start with too, really bad colic so it wasn't just that she's always been good)
Sorry epic post lol

tedmundo · 17/06/2012 13:48

@winkle .. That is what happened to us. too much DTD very early in cycle when no sign of a positive opk, then by the time I got 2 lines just did not fancy it. On the day of OV we just could not face it again.

Got a positive opk yesterday so DTD last night, will do the same tonight and tomorrow before a day off. I usually get 2 positive days of opks but already today it has gone down. I am hoping this is a good sign of a big strong surge that will make a plump little egg get ready to be fertilised!

To keep myself busy on the 2ww this time (as I was VERY psyched out last time) I am on a healthy eating, losing that stubborn 7 lbs diet. I put it on at Christmas, got pregnant, put on a few more pounds and then had the mc. I am usually a straight 8 st (I am VERY short!) so 7lbs on my frame means nothing fits right now. I feel mummy and I don't want to. And I don't want to start the next pregnancy already a bit bigger than I want to be.

Sorry it is a me me me post. Hope you are all enjoying the sunnyish Sunday.

resipsa · 17/06/2012 14:10

Eek, get me back to this thread. DH pissing me off so posted on AIBU to see if I was being irrational. Those posters are viscous! I know it's sort of the point but can they all be so very reasonable? Must be a dream to live with!
Anyway, rant over. Hope everyone is well. CD5 here and counting. DH and I might just be speaking when OV happens!

kittykatsforever · 17/06/2012 14:15

Resipia, your not being unreasonable it is his fault! Lol
It's a real dilemma when ttc and you are pissed off with oh then find you are ovulating, what to do what to do.....

resipsa · 17/06/2012 15:43

Kitty - you're SO reasonable!
Grin

tedmundo · 17/06/2012 16:05

I will go and check it out now!! Beware of AIBU. winkle posted one and my eyes were bleeding from the responses.... Scary stuff!

wishfulthinking1 · 17/06/2012 16:52

Resipsa- cant find your post, but I'm sure YANBU (I've never said that before! I feel like a proper mumsnetter now!)

Ted- I want to get pregnant again straight away so I don't have to bother with any of that weight loss business and i really really want a baby!

Winkle- glad you're feeling better.

Cd15 here. We've Dtd on cd8, cd12 and cd14 so far- df very hungover today (had stag do last night) dont think he'll be up for Dtd tonight and to be fair, he had proper drinkers breath even after brushing teeth so I'm not up for it either!!

Boooooo to going back to work tomorrow!! X

winkle2 · 17/06/2012 18:33

Lol @ drinkers breath!!

I shall take a look at that book kitty, thanks. DS was a really good sleeper (used contented baby book) but since he got his teeth (4 to date) he has regressed. Am hoping it is just a phase...

For those ttc no1 I found Emma Cannon's book 'the baby bible' a really worthwhile read - helped my perspective & gave me some tips on getting my body in tip top shape (ish). Not quite so tip top anymore sadly!

Nasty taste still there. Am shattered but can't use that symptom as there is a far more likely explanation for that! Not going to test till the end of the week now - decided I need to calm down a bit and just see it out till end of cycle. Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if I did get a BFP this month - something just feels weird & I remember that from last time.

We shall see eh? Enjoy swi all - and all the best for a relatively sane tww (is there such a thing?!).

Going to google super-fertility now :o

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 17/06/2012 19:48

resipsa don't worry about AIBU been flamed on the odd occasion myself.

ted v excited about the positive opk. Also even if you are very short 8 stone is tiny.

winkle glad you are on the mend am looking forward to hearing what advice the CBFM gives you.

wishful I am in the same boat can't be bothered losing weight before getting pregnant just really want to get knocked up soon.

kittykatsforever · 17/06/2012 19:48

This book only deals with getting dc's to sleep through the night but really worked for me, dd has been teething for quite a while 6 to date but has never woken me up in the night, I occasional here her sort of cry with pain but it's over in a second then she falls back to sleep herself, I may just be lucky with that part though!
I'm due for testing probably next wkend, it's really dragging but going away for a few days tomoz so hopefully that'll go quickly,
I don't feel anything :(
Welll nothing that isn't a normal everyday thing anyway- I was even trying to analyse was I more gassy then normal today, had to give myself a slap on the wrist and say no it's a fart, nothing else lol

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 17/06/2012 19:50

tiddley just read your post. V excited on your behalf. Good on you for holding out till send of week.

What day is af due?

tiddleypompom · 17/06/2012 20:00

:o 'just a fart'

Never been woken in the night kitty, and 6 teeth down too? No wonder you want another baby!! Am in shock Shock

Oh heaven knows I could be so wrong - but given I must wait till Wed at least (af due around then-ish) I may as well be optimistic!!

Still, it'd start us off on a good roll wouldn't it? :)

I hate AIBU by the way, it scares me :o

kittykatsforever · 17/06/2012 20:02

I agree, I'm almost more excited for yours as doing mine It sounds good!
:)

kittykatsforever · 17/06/2012 20:10

Not never.... About 5 times since 10 wks though lol
She is a real sleeper, the most I've known is she's been asleep at 7 and I've had to go in to check she was alive at 8:45! Madness
And yes I've wanted dc2 since she was about 3 months old so I'm sure it did influence it, I do think you can deal with anything the next day and be really cheerful with a good nights sleep under your belt
Well tiddley I feel good news for you but it is better to wait as a wrong no the day before will put you on a real downer!

  • confession time, I'm only on dpo 6 and did test this morning, I figured it was only 80p and worth it for fathers day, ofcouse it was neg , clearly it was going to be , still now see it as a bad omen
I'll be more sensible next time definatly
winkle2 · 17/06/2012 20:13

I need to lose weight too and had been putting it off for months and months because I thought there was no point because I was going to get pregnant soon. But it didn't happen so I rejoined weight watchers about 3 weeks ago. I wasn't fitting into any of my clothes and felt bloody awful! Got back into a pair of jeans today that I'm chuffed about :)

kitty 5 times since 10 weeks Shock Shock Shock

Mine is 16 months and has slept through less than 5 times in her life. Am counting sleeping through as anything past 6am. She has only just gone to sleep (this is quite normal timing for her). I am so jealous.

No surprises you got a BFN, have my fx for you this month.

winkle well done on the weight loss Grin
