Congrats flowery and kf,also sounds like puppy might be joking you!
Trying hard not to be too envious, Nicola and yikes I've not ovd yet and not due til next week at the earliest so I think I'm the long standing member you know I'll be clinging on til the end!
Wishful don't be to hard On Yourself, I know what it's like in the wtf cycle, you just so desperately want to be pg again, if I'd have had a test id have probably done it too, still you've had no af so there's still a chance it was too early, think just go back to your original plan, first cycle can take up to 6wks to return
Well my mum has just been telling me how they are telling girls who havnt tried or got partners to freeze their eggs if they get to 32 as they deteriorate so badly after 35, that was nice of her wasn't it Angry

lollypopsicle · 01/07/2012 14:23

:) :) :) yay for flowery and KF what a perfect start to July. May it continue! :)

NicolaHazel · 01/07/2012 14:26

I know I'm daft, kitty, I do my own head in. The month consists of 2 lots of waiting...for OV, and then the 2WW! And I'm so impatient :-/

Dexidoo · 01/07/2012 15:23

Congrats to KF and Flowery!!

Am so happy for you both. I was due to test today but I'm holding off as i think this first mc cycle is going to be the best part of a week longer than normal, and combined with our very slim chances this month I think I'd rather hold off as in some ways I'd prefer to see AF than a BFN.

Of course I reserve the right to change my mind at any time!!

kittykatsforever · 01/07/2012 15:25

I'm the same Nicola, I've worried I've had just about every problem going when I'm sure all it came down to was worry then stress causing the delay! I'm sure you do ov, Your using the opk this month arnt you, I was worried when it was getting later and later but they always have shown a +Ive and I used to test around 5ish, never waited for a particular time or stoped drinking before etc and they have always worked Smile

NicolaHazel · 01/07/2012 15:53

Yes, kitty, first month of OPKs, second of TTC. I really shouldn't worry so much, as based on last month's post-pill cycle of 29 days, I should OV on Thursday ish ( think it was CD 16 last month going by the ovary pain though, which would mean Friday).

I do worry / over- analyse all the time, not just for this. Annoying for me and everyone else, ha ha!

At least my Conceive Plus should arrive bang on time for DTD 2 days before and on day of OV :-)

Let's hope we can bring July's attempts to a positive end! :-)

NicolaHazel · 01/07/2012 15:54

Oh, and that's good to know re OPKs, as I tend to do it when I get home at half 6, with no drinking for 90 mins due to journey home. :-)

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 01/07/2012 16:41

The BFPs so early on are really great, you have set us all up well for this month. Sorry to those who have not been lucky this month.

kitty is this just your mums opinion or is she in the medical profession? 35 is so young.

winkle2 · 01/07/2012 17:46

congratulations flowery and KFF!

RIBS I just read back about your OH - have you spoken to him about it?

OP posts:
OpenMindedSceptic · 01/07/2012 18:12

Massive congrats to KKF and flowery , excellent news!

kittykatsforever · 01/07/2012 18:38

Whenshewas, no not her opinion it was something she read in the daily mail I think, because we were talking about a friend who needs ivf and it was for people who arnt trying/ don't have a partner that medics are advising they freeze their eggs at 32 as they start deteriorating after 35, or dwindeling, either way reminded me im very close to that 35! But I guess it's just one of those scare stories they like to put in to say you can't leave it forever as some may think?!? I surpose that we could look on the bright side that we are all ttc and that if eggs are still tip top at 32 to harvest then were not that far off, I know plenty of people older then that who have had healthy children

pipsicles · 01/07/2012 19:02

Hello ladies! We've had a crazy week, so I've had little time to post, or even catch up, I'm afraid. I joined last week friday and my DH broke his wrist that night (in a cast for three more weeks fx!) and then DS broke out in chicken pox for the second time the following day! All this meant that my grandparents ended up staying with us to look after DS so that I could work as I had a mock ofsted inspection (secondary teacher) and it was perfectly clear that just being a mother and taking those days off to look after him myself was simply not an option. :( So, pretty stressful! MiL is coming to stay this week too...!

Anyway, enough of me. Even the small amount I have read I've seen that huge congratulations are due to KFF and Flowery! I know others have said it already, but it's such a lovely way to start the month and I hope we get lots more! If I was normal, AF would have been due today/tomorrow, but FF is telling me to wait until Wednesday and then it's my b-day Friday and I was going to test then, but now I'm not sure whether I can hang on that long! I've felt that dragging AF imminent feeling all day today and have been expecting her to rear her ugly head, but so far, nothing...

Sorry for long, self centred post - I'm really bad like that Blush I must try harder!

kiwi5 · 01/07/2012 19:37

Just popping my head round the door to say hi.
Erpc may 11th, Second AF since started today, so won't be ov for a while yet. Fingers crossed for this month.
yikes and backward remember me? This our month!

FloweryBoots · 01/07/2012 19:59

Thanks for all the congrats. Had lovely day with sis and bil and thier two kiddies (if a very loud and tiering day!). I've marked my place on the antenatal thread but I'll be lurking here to watch for more BFPs!

YikesHereWeGo · 01/07/2012 20:22

Hello kiwi, course I remember you! Yes, THIS IS OUR MONTH! she says a bit too loudly, trying to convince herself
I've been a bit a lot down in the dumps today, just been shedding a tear or two on the phone to my sister. The friends who we went for lunch with announced that they are expecting (not surprisingly) but the bit that was the tear jerker for me was that their littlun is due two weeks after my littlun was due, and their sister (also a pal) is expecting one just a week after my littlun was due. Absolutely gutted. Sad I kinda knew my pal was preggo but I'm really superstitious crazy about having a 2013 baby and thought at least I'd have some company in RL if I get preggo with a 2013 baby (expecting my pal to be due in 2013) but now we have 5 friends expecting a littlun in 2012.
My sis told me I'm absolutely insane thinking like this but I was desperate to get married in 2012 for this reason [tick] and really really wanted a baby this year [cross].

I ended up just having lots of drinks this afternoon Wine, [beer], [cider] and over-doing the "it's fabulous news" act, but am gutted gutted gutted.

Sad Sad Sad

YikesHereWeGo · 01/07/2012 20:25

p.s. Nicola - I guess I'll prob be testing around the 14th if AF doesn't arrive by then, but at the mo I'm feeling like it's never gonna happen for me as I'm an old old lady with no hope of ever having a baby... Sad

NicolaHazel · 01/07/2012 20:29

Please don't think like that, Yikes :-( Today's been upsetting, but don't give up.

How old are you, by the way?

I say about everything that there is always hope until there is no hope. And you've no proof there's no hope, so I hope you'll be able to feel a bit more positive soon.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 01/07/2012 20:43

Hi Pip sorry you are having such a manic time at the moment. Hope it all calms down soon.

yikes oh you poor thing. Don't really know what to say other than, it will happen for you. So sorry about your friends it is such a horrible feeling, being happy for them but desperately wanting to be pregnant too. Sending you a hug (I don't send many but I think you need one).

YikesHereWeGo · 01/07/2012 20:45

Thanks Nicola. You're right, I know. Am 37 (nearly 38). Docs laugh at me when I say I'm old, but I just feel like the only one my age (in RL) with no kids. I think it was just a bit of a shock today. I know my pal's been ttc for years, so it's been really hard for her, but she's quite a lot younger than me and when she was telling me I should just forget about ttc and it will happen I just thought I haven't got time to forget as it feels like the months are slipping away so I want to chart etc so I know when I'm ov'ing as otherwise it just gets really stressful dtd every day / eod. It feels like it's just too easy for people to say "don't worry about it, just relax" when they're preggo themselves &/or already have several kiddies.
Tomorrow I'll be back to power dressing for work and feeling fine, I'm sure. Hmm
But thank you for your message, I promise I won't give up!

YikesHereWeGo · 01/07/2012 20:46

thanks WhenSheWas! xx

NicolaHazel · 01/07/2012 20:59

The problem with conception is that it's a very personal thing, and a lot of the things people say to be supportive sound trite and like cliches.

You definitely need a hug. And a glass or two of your favourite tipple. :-)

At least you can vent your spleen on here and get support. Which is something, as getting it off your chest is important.

RIBS · 01/07/2012 21:31

Omg. Massive congrats 2 flowery and kf. 2 bfp's on the 1st of the month, it must b a record.
I had words with dp yest. He is a porn n wank free zone. He just didn't think. Men all over or what.

Yest was my due date 2 so I just exploded on him. Can't believe I should b sat here with a baby. I'm actually not 2 upset about it. I'm quite impressed how iv managed this last few days. We did go out last nite and get plastered tho.

backwardpossom · 01/07/2012 22:09

Course I remember you! It sucks that the three of us are here. Hopefully we'll be pregnant again soon x

alwyn · 01/07/2012 22:18

Congrats to the ladies with BFPs already!!!

redstrawberry · 01/07/2012 22:59

Congratulations Flowery. So pleased for you!

Fx for your test next weekend winkle hope AF stays away for you. Did you have similar spotting before?
