wishfulthinking1 · 01/07/2012 07:27

Oh flowery! Massive congratulations! Fantastic news! Are you doing anything nice today to celebrate? What did dh say? I'm really thrilled for you. Remind me- how long had you been trying?

fatas bummer on AF really making a stand. I'll confess- I thought things sounded good for you with implantation bleeding etc. I wonder what the spotting was all about and why your cycle was so short. Btw- defo don't give up on next month- it seems anything is possible!

With me, well AF was due yesterday (if my cycle went straight back to normal after mc- am currently in wtf cycle) started spotting on friday lunch which has continued on and off. So there's a small chance that it's implantation bleeding- does anyone else have any experience of this? I've read online that it can last up to 3 days but annecdotally it would seem that most people just wipe once and it's gone.

I can't bare to put myself through lots of testing and I've only got cb digital in the house that are so expensive!

So, sensible thing to do is wait until next weekend. We last dtd on the 19th, so even if sperm stayed alive and I OV-ed 5 days later on the 23rd, so 14 days after that will be next weekend. I just don't want to take a test, get a bfn, and then tell myself that it might be too early to test etc- would just mess with my head. Next weekend if it's a bfn, then it's defo a bfn.

Sorry- that was long and waffly!

Congrats again flowery

x

wishfulthinking1 · 01/07/2012 07:29

puppy defo don't test again today- you'll drive yourself mad! Is AF due tomorrow? X

FloweryBoots · 01/07/2012 07:41

Thanks Puppy and Wishful.

Sounds promising Puppy, see if you an hang on a couple of days to test again so the hormones have chance to build up. Easier said than done!

Wishful, we've been really really fortunate. This was 2nd cycle, and was PG with DS on first. DH took 11 years to concieve so we remind ourselves often how fortunate we are.

DH was very proud of his swimmers. Last time he anounced my pregnancy to a friend with the line 'I've got epic sperm'! Today we have my sis, bil and thier 2 boys visiting. Won't be telling them just yet so have to stay calm. Will be a nice day though, and they are bringing garden toys for DS that thier two have grown out!

FloweryBoots · 01/07/2012 07:41

Wishful, next weekend is of course the sensible thing to do, but sensible is hard!

HeeHeeHeeBum · 01/07/2012 07:47

Congratulations flowery. That is wonderful :)

I so want to test again but I know it will be a BFN. I had a tiny bit of spotting yesterday but I feel sick and have slightly sore boobs. I want that to have been implantation bleeding so badly! Only 9dpo, I couldn't possibly get a BFN this early could I?

HeeHeeHeeBum · 01/07/2012 07:48

I mean I couldn't possibly get a BFP this early. I'm not quite awake yet Blush

tedmundo · 01/07/2012 08:07

Ooh flowery.. I just saw you on the March thread. So hot footed it over here to read the news. I am so pleased! Yayyyyyyy!

wishful .. Get thee to a tesco metro, 2 for £3.75

heehee .. I got a Bfp on the night of dpo10. Maybe wait until tomorrow if you are keen to test?

puppy .. A restrained yaaaayyy for you .. It sounds hopeful?!!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 01/07/2012 08:20

flowery congrats on your BFP. Really pleased for you.

puppy it is sounding good so far. Best if luck for tomorrow.

wishful best of luck not testing till next weekend. I bet you cave and test mid week. Fx for you.

fatas sorry about af. Still try and dtd this month, you never know. Those swimmers can live a surprising amount of time.

wishfulthinking1 · 01/07/2012 09:12

:-( I'm such a dick-head. Just did a test- obviously bfn. Why on earth did I just do that? Because now, instead of being able to think 'oh well, atleast now we can try for a honeymoon baby, how lovely'- I'm just thinking 'well, perhaps it was too early' 'maybe it was becauseI didn't use FMU' so I may as well have peed on a £5 note. What a twat!

Sorry to be so negative- I'm just so so cross with myself.

SunshineOutdoors · 01/07/2012 09:16

Hooray for more bfps! Congratulations!

I'm still waiting for af. Hopefully today then I can look forward to next ov.

flowery great news!!

And possibly puppy.... it does sound hopeful Smile

KFFOREVER · 01/07/2012 09:19

Good morning girls! I got my BFP!!!!!!!

I did a test yesterday and it was a faint line but there! This morning it was a bit darker one. Will go sexual health clinic to do another test. OMG! Still in shock.

Went to a wedding last night. Came back 2ish and told DH. He was surprised and couldn't go back to sleep after from the excitement.

June was the month when we DTD every other day or every three days but only for the 1st two weeks. Today is CD29.

KFFOREVER · 01/07/2012 09:21

flowery congrats on your BFP too.

1st July and BFP's. Baby dust to all.

Christelle2207 · 01/07/2012 09:29

Congrats to Flowery and KF...fantastic start to the month!

Sorry to everyone feeling down. This TTC can be a cruel process :-(

PuppyMummy · 01/07/2012 09:55

Congratulations KF! July must be a lucky month.
wishful - af was due Friday or yesterday as I normally have a 23/24 day cycle.
today its officially late so fingers crossed it doesn't appear today!

tedmundo · 01/07/2012 09:55

Congrats KF .. Lovely news and what a smashing start to the week!

Fatas .. So sorry your spotting turned into AF. Thinking of you.

Where is the stats list? July is looking fruity so far!

backwardpossom · 01/07/2012 09:55

Wow congrats on the BFPs!

I'm feeling pretty :( today. I'm going to be gutted if I'm not pregnant this month - which is silly as it's only 2 cycles since my miscarriage. Am symptom spotting and there's nothing at all...

KFFOREVER · 01/07/2012 10:34

Thanks ladies.

I feel guilty for being happy when I know some of you ladies are down. Of all the times I complained I got OV pains im now very grateful. I also thought being on the pill would make me infertile (my mum and nan believed that).

I told mum this morning. She went silent on the phone I thought she fainted. My brother is telling me to quit my job and be at home from now. lol.

YikesHereWeGo · 01/07/2012 10:37

blimey, it's all go on this thread! Two more BFP's already!?! Grin
Super-congrats to flowery and KF - are you both still around on this thread or have you left us all for dust and scooted off to the March due date thread?
Well fx that those expecting AF to arrive imminently don't see any sign of her and can join the ranks of the BFP-ers.
I keep getting strong + opk results and definitely felt ov pains yesterday, so I think I'm way behind everyone else in terms of my 2ww. Ho hum. I think it might get kinda tumbleweed-esque on this thread before long and I'll have to start talking to myself. Confused
But Happy Sunday to everyone. Just about to go on a nice (rainy?) walk followed by Sunday lunch in a pub. Yum! Grin

HeeHeeHeeBum · 01/07/2012 10:45

Ooh another one, congrats KF :)

NicolaHazel · 01/07/2012 10:53

When are you testing, Yikes? I'm not able to test til about 18th, so I may end up talking to myself as I've not even OV'd yet! Not convinced I'll get a result on the sticks due to their limited testing times and the amount I drink during the day.

I'm also paranoid about not ovulating. I need to give myself a good talking to really!

fatasbutter · 01/07/2012 11:30

Ah I'm really pleased for those with BFPs - long may it continue! Smile

Wink
resipsa · 01/07/2012 12:06

Congrats KFF & flowery! Great news and it's only 1st July.

Just think of all the guilt-free choc you can eat next Easter with little bubs sleeping soundly in your arms .

Have fun in the Due in March thread and hope more of us get to join you there soon!
