Omg ted! Congrats!! The relaxed approach worked!

tedmundo · 27/06/2012 22:56

Thanks! I am terrified of it not sticking being so early, but the line is a clear one, no squinting or bright lights required. That has got to be a good sign no?

Yes, I told DH after the penalty shoot out! He was happy but confessed to being scared! This is no.3 for us. I just want this one to stick so much.

The due date will be March 11. I had the ERPC (operation to remove mc) on March 12 this year. Feels a tad odd.

alwyn · 27/06/2012 22:58

Congratulations Ted!

tedmundo · 27/06/2012 22:58

Yes relaxing does seem to have worked. only shagged when the opk told us to!

I used a Boots own brand which gets slated on MN actually. Did an Internet cheapie first which came up BFP but I like to keep the piss sticks in a baby chest I have (odd I know!) so did Boots one with a cap to keep!

photochick · 27/06/2012 23:01

Congrats Ted - fantastic!!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 27/06/2012 23:02

So that's two sticks saying BFP. Not wanting to freak you out but a strong line at 10dpo is amazing. Have you considered twins?

tedmundo · 27/06/2012 23:04

I only tested tonight as I felt so sick all evening watching telly. DH at work til 10pm so in the end I cracked and tested .. He would have stopped me. No spotting or cramps. Bit zits on my neck which is really unusual for me. I don't know. Just felt like it was worth a punt.

tedmundo · 27/06/2012 23:06

Whenshewas .. Oh yes. It haunts me. Grandpa was twin. My mum had twin sisters (aunties to me I guess) but they were stillborn. That is why DH has expressed fear.

winkle2 · 27/06/2012 23:08

A strong line at 10 DPO is very promising :) I'm sure it's a sticky one, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Ooh I'm starting to feel hopeful cause we only dtd around OV time too!!

Well done thats ace!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 27/06/2012 23:12

Your dh sounds really sweet. Your aunties birth was a long time ago, it is much safer for twins now. (you probably just have one very sticky one I was just messing about the twins).

fatasbutter · 27/06/2012 23:15

Oh ted that is great! Congratulations! Very pleased for you! X

tedmundo · 27/06/2012 23:17

Ahh you are giving him too much credit .. He is shitting himself about possibly having 4 kids to support, not the stillborn part!

SunshineOutdoors · 28/06/2012 02:37

Wow tedmundo congratulations! First bfp of July thread and it's nowhere near July! A good sign for all of us I hope.

You must be feeling on top of the world! Well done!

fatasbutter · 28/06/2012 05:34

Well sorry to be a downer, but after all the excitement in my head last night about brown cm etc, DH came home and finally had the massive meltdown he has been brewing up for for weeks Sad

Work is stressing him out so much that he can't cope any more and I'm quite worried about him now. So of course have been awake since 4am and due to get up in an hour plus have a really busy day at work today Confused

Of course now I'm thinking what if I am pg? - I don't think he could take the extra stress of worrying about another mc! Grrr! Nothing worse than spiralling depressing thoughts at 4am!!

Oh and the icing on the cake is that his stressing and tossing and turning woke me up and now the fucker has been asleep for the last half hour while I get more and more stressed! Bloody men!

Ok depressing rant over - normal service shall resume shortly...

wishfulthinking1 · 28/06/2012 05:58

Wow ted- massive congratulations! Fx it's a sticky one for you- brill news!

Fatas- so sorry your dh is having a hard time- stress can be so upsetting and debilitating. My DF is having a major stress at work at the moment too- I'm trying so hard to be supportive- but it's hard when he's so grumpy!
I hope, in the cold light of day, he feels a bit better- I'm sure a BFP is what you both need at the mo!
X

fatasbutter · 28/06/2012 06:14

Thanks wishful I hope you are right - its so hard isn't it? Whatever you say feels like the wrong thing, and I'm finding it so hard to be supportive as I bend over backwards most of the time to try and keep the pressure off, but it's never enough!
Sorry to hear your DF is having a similar problem - I suppose we have to hope it is just one of the troughs in life and a peak (or BFP!) is just around the corner!
I think I will test tomorrow... is 10dpo ok??!

NicolaHazel · 28/06/2012 06:57

Congrats Ted! :-)

And sorry your DF is so stressed, Fatas, I hope it gets sorted somehow very soon. And fx for a BFP to cheer him up.

Dexidoo · 28/06/2012 07:19

ted that is fantastic news!! Fx for a sticky bean

fatas sorry your hubby is having a hard time, your cm does sound very promising

I am 33 too, must say it is lovely to know that there are so many of us 30+ in RL I sometimes feel left behind, only just starting the TTC journey. In my line of work I see so many young mums and there are grannies in their early 30's about!

CD 24 here and usually 25-27 days but I think it will be nearer 30-35 this month due to post MC. In my head I know that we have slim to no chance this month but I'm enjoying the company here so sticking about ( but not denying myself any Wine)

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 28/06/2012 07:38

fatas Sorry the hear about your dh's troubles. It is so hard trying to support someone through hard times at work, nothing you do helps it is so frustrating.

Fx if you are testing tomorrow.

kittykatsforever · 28/06/2012 08:08

Omg can't believe I've slept through all the excitement!!!!
Yeah ted, you see I told you and I told you to test 10dpo I'm practically psychic! Wink
So you were the less is more this month? Detail please how often what days, you know I'm the sheep following the + result this month and the relaxed few times have always payed dividend to me aswell
Sorry about dh fatas it sucks, not alot I can say except the stress of ttc hits men aswell and maybe a bfp will be the best news he could see, you've let him get it off his chest which most of the time is all we want, a good rant! X

Christelle2207 · 28/06/2012 08:09

So sorry to hear that fatas. I hope you are pg and of course you will worry but fx you will get pg and have a healthy pg and a few weeks down the line can both begin to enjoy it. Surely there's nothing like a pg to make you think that there's mor to life than just work.

winkle2 · 28/06/2012 08:23

Ditto what everyone else has said fatas. Hope hubby is feeling better soon.
