Hello newbies

Ted - I'm not going to get to dtd till my surge either. I'm sure we'll be fine! It only takes once at the right time and at least we're doing it at the right time hey?! Enjoy your dinner out :)

Any tips on how I can dtd with mil in the same house gratefully received!

wishfulthinking1 · 21/06/2012 22:25

Quietly and quickly... With the tv turned up loud!! Ha- you'll feel like a teenager again sneaking around your boyfriends house! X

fatasbutter · 21/06/2012 22:49

Apols if am being a bit dense, but what is 'epo'? Lots of people talking about it but I'm not sure what it is!! Blush

Anyway, we are off on our travels and managed to get some swi in yesterday - hopefully in time for ov as the smiley was the day before!! Now it's the dreaded 2ww... Am going to be Zen... Hmm

Fx for us all this month x Wink

fatasbutter · 21/06/2012 22:52

Oops how rude - hi all newbies (and oldbies!!) and welcome x

Dtd in mil's house... Hmm... What about wait til she's upstairs then go for it on the sofa?! Ha ha! Defo feel like a teenager then!! And some people like the thought of being caught in flagrante!! (though maybe not by MIL?)

backwardpossom · 21/06/2012 22:58

I think it's Evening Primrose Oil?!

winkle2 · 21/06/2012 23:13

Yep it's evening primrose oil.

I've thought of sofa, quietly in bedroom (with her next door) and in the shower!

Back to tonight - anyone else hate being home alone - I'm scaaaaaaaarred!

OP posts:
tedmundo · 22/06/2012 07:31

winkle I hate being home alone. Usually drink wine, watch late TV and then either get the cat to sleep with me or one of the boys. It is hard work!

fatasbutter · 22/06/2012 07:37

I hate it too - what on earth are those strange noises that definitely don't happen when there are others in the house??!

Ah evening primrose - thanks! Didn't realise such a thing could affect cycle length!! Interesting...

Dexidoo · 22/06/2012 08:03

Hope you coped with your evening alone winkle. I didn't like evenings in when DH was on nights but now we have a collie who is very good company (and doesn't talk back).

I take well woman vitamins (not the conception kind) which have EPO and starflower and I think it has helped regulate my cycle. I started them as after having my coil removed end Jan PMS hit me with a vengeance and they have the necessary folic acid.

pipsicles · 22/06/2012 08:26

Hello ladies! I'm TTC#2 after a mmc in April when I should have been 10 weeks. I spent a lot of time on here around that time, which was very helpful, but I needed to step back and leave mn alone for a while to really get over it all. I think last month was my first 'normal' cycle and I've been religiously taking my temperature and checking cm at every opportunity all this month. Looking at my stats, it looks like we've dtd at the right time, so I'm looking for people to hold my hand during my tww, when I always drive myself crazy symptom spotting!

My stats are: Pipsicles ttc#2 BFP due 6th July (my birthday!)

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 22/06/2012 08:46

pip Welcome to the July thread. Sorry to hear about the mc, 10 weeks is really late I am not surprised you needed time to get over it.

Best of luck staying sane in your 2ww.

winkle2 · 22/06/2012 08:47

Welcome pipsicles!

My evening alone was ok. Fell asleep about half 12 after reading loads on the net to make me tired and slept with the landing light on!

Cd14. Monitor still says peak. From what I've read you OV on the second peak so planning on dtd tonight, tomorrow morning possibly tomorrow eve and Sunday too!

fatasbutter · 22/06/2012 09:48

Goodness me winkle - I hope you've had your weetabix!!! Good luck x

Welcome pip and sorry to hear about your mc - mine was in march, at 9 weeks, so I have some idea what you are going through - fx for this month! X

kittykatsforever · 22/06/2012 11:32

Well I've been posting but official join jilt today, af hit me last night with no warning, gutted! :(

kittykatsforever · 22/06/2012 11:32

Jillt? That'll be july

tedmundo · 22/06/2012 11:44

Oh kittykat so sorry AF got you. Do you mean it came early then? A shorter cycle than usual? If you are taking EPO some ladies are saying it does help to shorten the cycle.

Welcome to Pipsicles .. Sorry you find yourself here. Slthough not too long to testing time. I am on dpo5 and getting a tiny tiny bit edgy. It it from dpo10 onwards that I get twitchy. I am not not not going to test before dpo13.

Meal out last night was lovely. Really good restaurant on the floating harbour so nice views. (I live in Brizzle!!)

just watching on old Glee before picking up DS2. God Cory Monteith is a cutie pie!

resipsa · 22/06/2012 11:46

Hi kitty, hi pip. Know you don't want to be here but you're in good company. I'm not going to test until 6 weeks have gone since last AF. I might slip in August but bet she turns up again before then anyway. Not feeling optimistic this month for some reason. Just been to a soft play centre (can you believe the weather - it's nearly July, FFS!) and saw lots of newborns.

lollypopsicle · 22/06/2012 12:49

This thread is hotting up!

Winkle- I'm very intrigued by the CBFM and also the EPO. I'm as bit scared of taking something that can alter my hormones like that but I have quite long cycles so the EPO is tempting to try. It seems to have so many benefits for women in general. Anyone else think EPO has been noticeably beneficial in any way?

My top tip for DTD at MIL would be to do it on the floor. no creaky beds or banging furniture to worry about. It worked for use in the past, though I think she may have suspected something when DP washed the sheets at dawn the next day Blush

Have the ol' egg whites today so will be jumping DP tonight and every day until I see a temp rise. I want to be sure I've given it our best shot this month... For some reason I have 'Eye of the Tiger!' in my head Grin Confused

tedmundo · 22/06/2012 13:48

Hahah "...It's the thrill of the fight" conjures up a vision of your DH cowering under the blankets, waiting for you to pounce!

EPO increased my CM this month, I am sure of it.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 22/06/2012 13:53

resipsa planning not to test till 6 weeks post af. Wow that is willpower, would love to do that myself but I know I would cave.

I am aiming for no testing till 15dpo if af has not turned up till then. Don't think I could handle another chem preg so soon but am not sure if I can avoid the sticks.
