Oh, I'm sorry af came. You're right though, a nice regular cycle is good, and 29 days isn't that long. Have you only recently stopped your contraception then? If your body's giving you nice regular(ish) cycles, I'm sure you'll get pregnant in no time Smile

NicolaHazel · 20/06/2012 09:07

Yeah, that was first post pill / injection cycle. My last pill was taken on 18th May.

After having been on the injection for 11 of those 17.5 years I am actually SO relieved to have an AF as you hear some horror stories about how long it can take after that. My last injection was in November last year.

Quietly pleased in a weird way!!

winkle2 · 20/06/2012 10:04

Sorry she got you Nicola.

Sorry af turn up Nicola. You sound very positive and your 29 day cycle sounds great.

Fx for you for July.

How are you feeling today winkle? What does your CBFM say today?

NicolaHazel · 20/06/2012 10:36

Thank you everyone :-)

I'm going to stay positive as it's such early days it's daft not to!

Here is to July :-)

winkle2 · 20/06/2012 11:13

Feeling a bit better and hopefully going in to work tomorrow. My monitor still says high. Expecting a peak next week although in the first month it's not uncommon to not get a peak.

I'm on CD12.

Supposed to be visiting the mother in law this weekend but not sure if I should just stay at home? But then what if I'm away from hubs when I get my peak?!

I would be tempted to follow the sperm wherever it goes I mean stat close to your dh

Then again if you can dtd on Friday and then again when he returns on Sunday that should be easily enough to keep you covered.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 20/06/2012 17:08

I mean stay close to your dh

kittykatsforever · 20/06/2012 19:07

Lol at Whenshewas, follow the sperm

Or prowl the streets ....?

winkle2 · 20/06/2012 20:50

Lol. Hubby goes tomorrow after work and is back on Monday. Will just have to have loads of sex next week!

Can't get hubs to kiss me let alone have sex with me!

OP posts:
wishfulthinking1 · 20/06/2012 21:06

Haha- following the sperm made me giggle- images of winkles hubby with a load of ovulating women following him- Pied Piper- esque!

Winkle, a weekend home alone sounds like just what you need to prepare for the shagathon!!
X

winkle2 · 20/06/2012 21:50

I checked my app and Monday will be CD17 so just in time for OV as I've previously got a smiley in cd16 or cd18. As we haven't dtd at all this cycle we're planning on dtd every day next week mon to fri. That should cover us!

The ironic thing is we'll prob get pregnant the month we have the least amount of sex!

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 21/06/2012 05:23

Just having a read up here. Today's cd 13, should be about time to ov, had some ewcm two days ago, no ov pains and no positive stick yet, hadn't considered I might not ov this month! Will test throughout the day - anyone ever tested at work? I imagine people will wonder if I have stomach upset hanging about in the loo for so long!

Seriously impressed (frightened?!) by the amount of swi Sunshine! And I've read that a guy can need a break too, BUT if he's up to it then how bad can it be, surely the odds must be in your favour, we worry if we do it too much, we worry if we do it too little...can't win re the worry so fingers crossed!

winkle2 · 21/06/2012 08:48

You're not going to bloody believe it. I've only gone and got my peak!! On CD13! Thats way too early for me!

Do you think it's the epo I've been taking? Or could it be because I've been ill?

Hubby's off to his mums tonight till Monday. Arrrggghh. Earliest I can get to him (for want of a better word!) is tomorrow around 8 after work. And even then it will be trying to dtd in his mum's house!

Aarrggghh don't know what to do?!

OP posts:
SunshineOutdoors · 21/06/2012 08:53

Sorry winkle I'm still not up on all the terms.... does that mean you're ovulating now? Am I right in that there's a 12-24 hr window after you ovulate? Or sperm can survive in you up to 6 days? I don't know if that means you have to chase him for a swi or not?!

winkle2 · 21/06/2012 08:59

The peak means the egg will pop in the next 12-36 hours, then it can survive for 24 hours if not fertilised so today, tomorrow and Saturday are crucial!

I should have been dtd up to this point too - and would have on a normal month if I hadn't have been ill.

Just so surprised its come this early.

OP posts:
tedmundo · 21/06/2012 09:18

winkle .. Do you think the peak is the Lh surge then? Meaning OV is probably tomorrow. If you drag him away when you rock up at 8pm then you should be ok. Might make the mil raise her eyebrows though ( thus proving the adage that no girl is good enough for any mother's son!!) ha ha!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 21/06/2012 09:26

winkle hopefully you will ov tomorrow. If you can dtd tomorrow evening you should have a good chance of getting the egg (it should last at least 12 hours).

Is there any chance of getting to dh tonight before he leaves?

winkle2 · 21/06/2012 09:37

Yep the peak is the LH surge.

No chance of dtd tonight as hubs is going straight from work.

Anyone got any theories as to why OV has come early?

OP posts:
tedmundo · 21/06/2012 10:10

it is a strange one while you have oved early. I have read that ibuprofen can affect ovulation. Did you take it when you were ill?

I do think you should be ok with DTD tomorrow night . Ie OV day .. The egg will still be there waiting!

tedmundo · 21/06/2012 10:12

Actually ignore that. I googled it and if anything, ibuprofen delays OV.

Stress of the illness?

On the plus side, you are now a mere 15 days from testing. Hurray!!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 21/06/2012 10:28

No idea why it would come early.

I am sure I have heard other people talking about getting one lh surge and then a second one in the same cycle. They seemed to be saying that the first surge was the body trying to ov but not quite managing it. The second surge is when the egg is actually released.

If it was me I would dtd tomorrow night incase this is the real surge but I would keep testing for lh incase I get a second surge.

Hope that makes sense.

kittykatsforever · 21/06/2012 10:37

I have heard the epo can make cycles shorter and regulate them so if you've only just started this month or the one before I bet that is the culprate!
Just get him tomorrow, once at the right time is enough as if you were doing the eod approach probably only one of those would be the time it hits but I'd seek him out like a missile tomorrow!! Good luck
