Due to the luck thread starters have, I thought I'd mark a place for the second thread as we are so chatty!

Here's to BFPs for us all :-)

Ah, BB, I felt like that this time last week after my first month.

Hoping this will be the month, but have convinced myself I'm not ovulating (for no good reason other than panic!) so already decided it won't be this month and it's only CD8!

Here's to next month.

Newbie2 · 27/06/2012 13:54

Nicola I can't help thinking that you will deff OV in this cycle like me :)

1st house offer got rejected...2nd house offer got accepted. I should be excited but all I can think about is OV sticks, pregnancy and more Grin

MissMedusa · 27/06/2012 14:01

We are all going to OV this month! :)

NicolaHazel · 27/06/2012 14:18

I hope you're right, Newbie, though I have no good / real reason to think I won't!

Very exciting re house :-)

I've just ordered some Conceive Plus. Hope it's here before ovulation!

Newbie2 · 27/06/2012 14:25

Thanks :) Trying not to get carried away and think about the nursery too much!

BB01 · 27/06/2012 14:32

Newbie2, congrats on the offer!! It's weird isn't it...all I could think about until a few weeks ago was our forthcoming house move...now TTC has started, I keep almost forgetting about it!! However at the obsessive rate I'm going I am looking forward to the whole stress of the move day to take my mind off it!! Nicola, you sound like you know so much more about all this than me!! I've done a lot of reading up on it but still don't feel I know much about ovulating etc! Do people find it is more reassuring to monitor ovulating etc or to not bother??

Newbie2 · 27/06/2012 14:34

BB thanks! Not just me then Wink RE monitoring ovulation...I certainly found it helpful!

NicolaHazel · 27/06/2012 14:37

I'm only monitoring it for the first time this month. I think it'll be reassuring if I get a positive, ha ha!

And I don't feel like I know anything...I get most info from here! :-)

DulcetMoans · 27/06/2012 14:39

Now I'm scared about not ovulating! Right, im ordering some sticks, i'm on CD5 so hopefully not too late. Is there a preference on type of OV sticks? My great sex-scapade starts Friday. Have warned DP we will be DTD every other day - mumsnet says so! not that i've told him I am here

Congrats on the house newbie! At least it can take your attention during the 2ww!

Newbie2 · 27/06/2012 14:47

Dulcet Clear Blue all the way...however, Pop used amazon or eBay cheapies and look at where she is now!

Clear Blue Workers if you're reading this thread then I'd be happy to be an ambassador and start taking commission for my good work!

DulcetMoans · 27/06/2012 15:20

Right, OV sticks on the way. You guys should all be on commission. Those online eBay and Amazon sellers are doing well out of us lot!

NicolaHazel · 27/06/2012 15:29

My Conceive Plus is from Amazon, with Nectar points :-)

My pg tests were from there too.

I had some OV sticks donated by Queen, so no need to buy any yet!

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 27/06/2012 15:40

Oh rubbish I completely forgot to link my amazon orders with my nectar card! Humph

NicolaHazel · 27/06/2012 15:52

I do that all the time, especially with eBay :-( I've lost out on loads of points

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 27/06/2012 16:02

I didn't even realise you could do that!

NicolaHazel · 27/06/2012 16:09

There's shit loads of internet places link to Nectar :-)

NutBiscuit · 27/06/2012 16:14

Hi all, just checking back in. I'm on CD38 now on first cycle off pill - hoping I'll be like Newbie and just "skip" the first period and then move on to OV. Nicola , I am also irrationally scared that I don't ovulate or do what my body's "supposed" to do. I was scanned when I was a teenager for PCOS as had a few of the symptoms (irregular, heavy periods, acne etc) but scan showed I was clear. Can you develop PCOS later in life? It's left me really worried that I might have it.

Newbie2 · 27/06/2012 17:13

I realise that this is going to sound ridiculous but I'm 3DPO and I have dull cramping in my stomach. Ive also had a light headache. I'm reading too much into things already aren't I!

NicolaHazel · 27/06/2012 17:49

I don't know the answer to that, Nut, sorry.

I think I'm just concerned because we had nice regular sex last month without success. And I know about pregnancy odds, but was kind of hopeful it would be month 1 bingo. And although I had pain in both ovaries last month, it can't have been ovulation from both sides, a week apart. I need to stop worrying though, I think. And stop over-analysing.

So I'll just PIATH when I get home and dip the stick to see if I'm ovulating. That'll help take my mind off it, ha ha!

Ooh...Newbie, that could be promising! Let's get another BFP in this thread! :-)

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 27/06/2012 18:01

No I really am being crazy. In the real world my headache was from the thundery weather, the cramps because I held my pee in for too long and the lower backache from all the DtD!!

NicolaHazel · 27/06/2012 18:16

Ha ha...rationalising is good! :-)

The weather is rather headache-inducing, it has to be said.

I had some surprise DTD last night, thanks to an eager H2B! I think he's worked out I'm unlikely to say no, even if it is late at night, at the moment, so is going to play on that now the lightbulb has lit on the idea! I could be exhausted soon. :-)

OP posts:
NutBiscuit · 27/06/2012 18:21

I know, i think it's that perception again that if you're not using contraception you'll get pregnant at the drop of a hat, but in reality it's not that easy. comes as a bit of a disappointment!

Congratulations pop on your BFP. Nice to know things are working for some of us Smile

NicolaHazel · 27/06/2012 18:22

At least we are all in the same boat to talk about it together. :-)

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 27/06/2012 19:11

We are making our way through this thread, aren't we!!

NicolaHazel · 27/06/2012 19:28

We are! Nice that we are chatty :-)
