Yeah, bit of a better day today, to an extent. Still really busy, and I had to go to Court to do a hearing today, which doesn't help my workload. But no disasters, I don't think!

I want to PIATH again, but thinking that there's no point before tomorrow / Thurs (CD8 / 9). If I PIATH when I get home, where do I leave said TH for the 20 mins I'm meant to leave it before dipping the OV stick? I don't really want H2B to get wind of my pissing habit!!

Hmmm...can't remember if it's Preseed or Conceive Plus that's the lubricant of choice. Would quite like to try it, I think.

Though is it a bit early? It is only month 2, after all. Maybe next month!

we have used pre-seed this month and had a ban on saliva! I liked it. (the pre-seed, not the ban!) it comes with applicators but I didn't bother with them, just blobbed a bit up with a finger (sorry, tmI! )

I used conceive plus this month. Will let you know if it works on 9th! It worked for Pinkie so I'm hopeful!

The packet tells me to leave the pee for 20 minutes and then dip a stick. Do I not need to?

Nicola I did that at the beginning and then I didn't bother. It still worked.

Umm I've never waited 20min and it worked for me :) but then I was using Superdrug and then CB. We're talking about OV sticks right?

Hah yes I just re read your message. Yay so you're using OV sticks now! Deff don't need to leave pee for 20mins :) You would never keep that up!

Which cycle day should I start checking on?

Meant to be CD6 I think. If you have lots of the cheapies then start now cos you don't want to miss it

I read today that If you're on a 30 day cycle then you should OV day 16 (which was me this month) looks like you're on 28 days so you should ovulate CD 14. My LH surge wasn't picked up on the stick until the day I ovulated, which would be right as I tested at 9am and I'm pretty sure I ovulated in the evening. The surge is detected around 12hrs before you ovulate. Sorry If you know all this!

If its true that you ovulate on day 14 then the stick won't pick this up until CD13-14 (they only say test early in case you miss it).

Oh I think I've got some of that info wrong. My CB OV instruction leaflet says 'The LH surge occurs approx 24-36hrs prior to the release of the egg. You are at your most fertile on the day your LH surge is detected and the day after' Don't know why I thought it was 12hrs!

It still says start testing on day 6 so I was right about that.

Well I just learnt a lot about OV sticks, thanks newbie! I might even get some so I have something to pee on!

Nicola make sure that you DTD at some point 4 days before you're guessing you will be ovulating. The goal is to get some friends up there waiting for the egg to arrive. I missed out on that this month (they say this increases your chances).

Dulcet you're most welcome! I feel like I've been on a crash course for OV sticks at the weekend. I had no idea I would OV before seeing my first AF. It was a total surprise. I would have missed DTD completely if I hadnt has my large stock on board! I would highly recommend them to anyone who doesnt know when or if they OV!

Should be DTD tomorrow on 8 and Sat on 11, so should cover it OK. May do 12 as well, for good measure!

My opk sticks will be here in time for CD6. But need to stealth PIAGTUNJ do DH doesn't find out. I think it would freak him out slightly. He still thinks we are casually TTC. Don't think he has any idea how quickly I want it to happen. :o

It's official! I got my BFP today! Couldn't wait till Friday so I painfully hold my wee all night and done three ( I know it's sad) hpt, two cheap ones and because the line was still there decides I'll do the clear blue one and it came back: PREGNANT 1-2weeks!!!
I'm so excited! want to tell everyone! This is going to be the hard part! Not to tell!
Sorry about the pic, didn't get round to it last night! Will post in the evening the clear blue positive results! Much more interesting!

OMG it's official we have our first thread BFP!!! Many congratulations Pop Amazing news How do you feel today other then excited...any symptoms? What did DH say? So exciting!!!

Nicola maybe you're not ovulating when you thought you did last month! The good old OV sticks should sort that out
