thanks Elly had a reasonably good sleep but very strange dreams, woke up several times to go to toilet (thanks baby) and waggled into our bedroom at 5.15am so I could make sure DH heard his alarm at 5.45am, had to tell him it was going off as he was still fast asleep!

Bluetinkerbell · 19/06/2012 09:05

I remember it so well, feeling so desperate because of AF and feeling utterly rubbish! Here to hold your hands ladies!

There was a lady on my antenatal thread who gave birth to her little girl on Friday at 20+1 weeks after her waters broke :( feel so sad for her, as I know exactly what she's been through... well my waters didn't break, but was induced... last year today I was in labour with Sterre

Whatevertheweather · 19/06/2012 09:57

Must have been the night for strange dreams blue I had disturbing dreams all night about the baby being born early and having to go in to scbu Sad Don't feel very rested at all today. Off to the hospital shortly for scan and consultant.

Hugs fan it is so shit. I'm so sorry this isn't your month and I totally understand just wanting AF over with.

Am looking forward to watching the football tonight Smile

fanjodisfunction · 19/06/2012 10:16

wtw it is crap, I just feel so cheated sometimes. I really hoped I would have a baby by now well at least be pregnant. My brother is coming home from australia in february and I really wanted to have a baby by then. My brother has a little boy he was born 4 months after Fi and it would just be so nice to have the two cousins together. Oh well can't dwell on what if's.

I'm trying to be positive, and just get on with everything (as I'm always doing) if this AF continues to muck me about though I might have to go to the doc's to get checked out again, I might have a new fibroid.

elly have my fx for you and for you too blizy.

Going to the pub tonight to watch the footie, me supporting england and my DH supporting ukraine. Lol.

blizy · 19/06/2012 13:29

I have question for those of you experienced with the cbfm, I have had my high days, peaks on day 17 and 18, high on cd19 and lows from cd 20. I am on cd 22 now and the machine is still asking for a stick in the morning, is this right? I am worrying a little as I only have 2 more sticks left (out of a 20 pack) and I have no money to buy a new pack until next week. Confused

Whatevertheweather · 19/06/2012 14:49

All went well at consultants. Little miss still steadily growing on 50th centile and is estimated to be 3lbs now Smile Will be intrigued to see how accurate the weight estimation is when she's born. Iron levels are a bit low so need to get them up a bit. Might explain why I've been feeling so tired.

Blizy I'm no help on that I'm afraid x

Thinking of you today Blue must be hard to believe that a year has passed xx

Bluetinkerbell · 19/06/2012 15:00

blizy yeah it is possible it still asks for sticks even after your high days... is it your first or second cycle using cbfm?
You can always get the sticks an Amazon, they're way cheaper than in the shops...

wtw glad little miss is doing well!

blizy · 19/06/2012 16:19

Blue- its my first cycle with it. Do you think it will ask for more than the 20 sticks?

Good news Wtw!

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 19/06/2012 16:34

Yay wtw! Am a bit unsure about the growth scans - at my last scan at 32 weeks M was projected to be 7lbs at 37 weeks and in fact she was 6lb 5. Either her growth slowed down over the last 5 weeks or else the growth scans aren't that accurate. Confused

Is it a stick a day, Blizy? Hope it works out for you.

Bluetinkerbell · 19/06/2012 19:58

blizy I don't think it will ask more than 20 sticks!

greengoose · 19/06/2012 20:14

Blizy, well done on getting peaks with monitor on first cycle..... From what I've read the first cycle often asks for sticks after ov, to get to know you, but after that it shouldn't. I've read that some people start using sticks more than once after ov to 'feed it' as it gets costly. Look on the thread about them, the ladies there know everything!

Wtw... Congrats on scan... Sounds like the little one is doing really well.... Make sure you take the iron tabs, they always perk me up no end!

Elly and Blizy, fingers still crossed for you this month..

Fan, sorry you are feeling low. My AF is here now with a vengeance. It is as heavy as it was after Merryn, I'm hoping it will settle soon, or I might be at docs too. We are meant to be camping this WE! Not a chance like this!

I've kind of enjoyed the weather, but it's like the first proper summery day here, and I was so pleased Merryn was going to be a summer baby....

Hi to other ladies! Most jealous of you all on FB, I don't do it as have dodgy people I try to avoid...

CheeseandGherkins · 19/06/2012 20:21

Blizy I think that I read before that some women don't use any more sticks that cycle after the ov day and the return to low fertility. It usually asks for more sticks the first cycle as it's getting used to you though. I think I used lots too!

Too I don't think that 11oz is too far off, I think the growth scans are very useful when taken along with a series of scans, they're never going to be 100% accurate but very useful nonetheless.

whatever glad the scan went well :) My iron dropped to 7.2 I think with Ella and at that point they gave me an iron tranfusion, well a couple! I didn't have enough time to get my levels up before she was born I don't think. I'm sure they thought she'd be born before 37 weeks too which led to the decision to transfuse and good job as she was!

Whatevertheweather · 19/06/2012 20:27

Oh bless you cheese that is low. Must have made you feel yuck. Mine is 10.2 but thats dropped from 15 at my booking bloods. Dp cooked me a lovely steak for tea Smile

Hope AF eases off so you can go camping green and that the sunny weather stays

K lost her 2nd tooth tonight - she is all gappy and lispy now Grin

CheeseandGherkins · 19/06/2012 20:52

whatever Surprisingly I didn't feel too bad, I think I was used to it. It wasn't until after the transfusion that I felt "alive" I was told I looked much better too. It only raised me to about 8.5 but I did cope ok with that and only lost about 200ml at birth. It didn't help that I'm also a vegetarian! I was ok at booking, on the low side/borderline but enough for me, not with a baby too! Hope you enjoyed your steak :) Oh I saw the photos, I love the gappy ones :o have a few of dd1 :)

Moominsarescary · 19/06/2012 20:53

wtw great news! When I was scanned at 31 weeks after my waters broke Tommys weight was estimated at 4lb 7, he was born 6 days later at 4lb 4 so not far off.

blizy I only tried the sticks once and got all befuddled by it

So the movin has started, I'm shattered! Tommy stayed with my mum for two hours and took his first steps, twice! Can't believe I missed it.

Don't know when we will get Internet up and running, so if I don't get on for a few weeks take care everyone x

AngelGeorgie · 19/06/2012 21:25

Whatever fab news all is well. All I got told at each scan was I was having a big girl & I did :10 lbs,0.5 oz!!!! My iron dropped this time also to 9.2 which is very low for me ( normally 12-13 my HB) so I had iron tablets hadn t noticed I felt any more tired though!!!
Blizy sorry , didn t use the fertility monitor only the clear blue ovulation sticks loved them.GrinAlfie's gorgeous xxx
Spilt Freya's photos are fab , she's gorgeous. Xxx
Hi all: love to all
Blue hope you re managing? Xxx
Feel much better today not quite as delicate.had a lovely day with my mate & Phebs eating out & shopping... Back to work tomorrow grh..... But only 3 days. Looking at ordering Georgie a plague for the SANDS garden . Love to u all xxx

spilttheteaagain · 19/06/2012 21:40

Thanks angel Smile. Glad you're feeling stronger today. Hope work is better tomorrow.

My growth scan at 36 weeks scared the bejeezus out of me - they estimated her weight then was nearly 8lbs... I was horrified that if I went overdue I would end up shredding my undercarriage trying to deliver a 12lb monster. As it was she was 7lb7 born at 40+1 so take with a pinch of salt!

wtw if you're upping iron, look after yourself re fruit/veg/water intake. Constipation and piles are no fun

Oh moomins! How gutting to miss that! But also, how fab and exciting, you must be very proud Smile

Elly Nancy is just lovely, such a pretty little mouth. She looks beautifully peaceful xx

blizy know nothing about the cbfm but lots of people reckon they are great, good luck, hope it does the trick!

Bluetinkerbell · 19/06/2012 21:44

blizy we conceived our rainbow in the 3rd cycle using cbfm! The first cycle was around Christmas and I forgot to take it with me to PILs, I was also charting back then, stopped that as it was stressing me out and the second cycle without charting BFP!

fanjodisfunction · 20/06/2012 09:10

Having the AF from hell, big cramps. Think my fibroids are shrinking a bit, the short pg with bungle would have made them grow a bit so I'm in a bit of pain.

Thinking of blue and sterre, and all the blue household today, hope the day is gentle for you all.

Bluetinkerbell · 20/06/2012 09:39

oooh fan hope the pain eases off soon! x

we had a nice start of the day, cuddled up in bed, reading messages on my phone and FB :)
then we had lovely croissants and just after breakfast Sterre's birthday card arrived in the post :) perfect timing!
(although at the same time my maternity exemption arrived and a reminder to renew my subscription to a baby magazine) But I seem to cope...

Whatevertheweather · 20/06/2012 19:14

Blue I love the flowers, card, candle and cake for Sterre today. Utterly perfect for your little one. Where did you get the candle? It's gorgeous. How have you been today? xx

How are you feeling now fan?

I'm feeling irrationally rage-y today. Everything is pissing me off, the house seems to get messy instantly I tidy it and i'm starting to feel really heavy and cumbersome so bending down and getting up off the floor is awkward. My back is sore as is my pelvis. And then I feel bad for feeling irritated because I'm so bloody grateful to be pregnant and I promised myself I'd never moan. Gah I'm actually pissing myself off today!

Bluetinkerbell · 20/06/2012 19:37

wtw we had the candle made at Alexandra's Angel gifts last year, we don't burn it very often as we would like to keep the writing on it.
We went to the garden centre this morning and bought aubretia plants, then went to Sterre's grave and planted them. E was a bit confused as she thought we were digging up Sterre. While we were there the parents of the baby girl buried next to Sterre came, we had a little chat. But because of that I forgot to take a picture of Sterre's grave with the new flowers on...
Then we went to a pub and had a carvery in honour of our little girl. This afternoon E and I baked the cake and then we had a birthday tea.
Well and truly tired now, but it was a very lovely, peaceful day. I shed some tears this morning and whilst reading the nice messages on FB, but other than that I have smiled a lot in memory of my little girl :)

hugs for you x

fanjodisfunction · 20/06/2012 20:25

blue sounds like a good day devoted to your angel. Bless little E, I hope she understood in the end. It must be confusing for the sunshines.

wtw your allowed to have a pissed off day, I bet you will feel better in the morning.

I have had the worst day, cramps like you wouldnt believe, felt like early labour. Horrible, and I got very upset today, and also last night ended up crying myself to sleep. I just feel so retched, I think its because this period is so bad. I have had a little search on periods after miscarraige and apparently it is normal for the next two to be heavy and painful. Hopefully it will pass and I can get on with ttc. I feel better this evening, except Im so tired. I feel alittle amemic tonight, so had lots of spinach for tea, and an early night for me.

Whatevertheweather · 20/06/2012 21:10

Sounds like a perfect day to honour little Sterre Blue. Bless E, it is confusing for our older children xx

Sorry you're feeling so bad Fan I hope it eases off in the next day or 2 and that it's your last one for a long time Wink xx

Had a big sobbing session on poor dp all because he asked tentatively if I was okay Blush Very unlike me, think he's a bit shocked. The tears seem to have dissipated the rage though. Bloomin hormones I blame them!

Ellypoo · 20/06/2012 21:24

Your day sounds lovely blue, love your pics too, very special.

Can you snuggle down with a hot water bottle fan and a bottle of wine? Really horrid x

Well I just went for a drink with my sister and while we were out, her brother (she's my half sister, he's her half brother - slightly complicated!) called to let her know that his wife is expecting their first baby. While we are happy for them, it's just heartbreaking and I just feel so sad for us :( its just so hard.
