how faint is faint?

just done a Tesco test. The line was soooo faint I could only see it by holding it at a certain angle and in a certain light. Surely it is negative?

AF due today, had lots of cramps etc as though I am getting it...

Hmmm - I had this too a few years ago. Test a few weeks later was bright blue - ds2 born several months later.
Don't think you can have a false positive.

hmmm sounds a bit iffy, as if it could be an evaporation line. I would test again in a few days time if no AF, ideally with a digital test, so you can't be in any doubt as to what the test says.

I've done this with some tests, no experience of Tesco's but with some if you hold them near to a strong light you can see where the line would be whether it's negative or a super-faint positive...

Pregnancy tests are the work of the devil!!

Go digital, wait a few days, use first morning wee and DO NOT I repeat DO NOT take it apart for ANY REASON afterwards.

My test was exactly the same and I posted the exact same message on here at the begining of December.

I'm expecting in August

cece I had this took test at 9am sil said no its negative - done test about 6.30pm that night and it was positive.

and I did another 3 days later and it was still very faint.

Yes but it was so faint I thought it was bfn at first. Then I picked it up and thougth a saw a slight very faint line. It got slightly but only very slightly darker between 4 and 8 mins...

still go digital, try not to get too excited! I know the feeling well...and I was only ttc for 4 months last time (I go mad easily)

4 minutes sounds hopeful, if it was more than 10 minutes it's an evaporation line, but it could still just be the annoying test...

my superdrug 'dot' one showed the dot really clearly as the liquid ran through it and then slowly disappeared to show a negative! What a stupid way to make a test!

cece - i had this.... thought it was a BFN and went back to it and it was a BFP.... unfortunately wrong time wrong partner so went down a route I will never forgive myself for, but FINGERS CROSSED this is it for you x

cece my very faint as in DH said it was none existent is now asleep on my shoulder. Same day I bought a clear blue digi which there was no doubt to. All my pregnancies I have had bad cramps too like AF is coming.

although not ttc we are being careless and I keep hoping hence I took the test today even though it feels like af due. But normally on time...

Oh no the vodka means you definately are pregnant, test or no test, definately. Fetuses love to mkae you feel guilty, it's how they get their kicks whilst being cooped up in there for 9 months!

The thing is when pg before the tests showed up really positive really quickly.

However I was 2 weeks late with dd and 1 week late with ds so maybe that is why the line showed staright away?
