Well the witch has caught up with me at last. So I have decided its time to start a new thread as I think our christmas reindeer need a rest.
So step aboard ladies and join me for a hunt for the golden egg.

Ooh interesting. For the first time ever, I've been symptom spotting today. I NEVER do this - I had no symptoms at all with either of my pregnancies until about 6 weeks, so I know it's not worth it. But - I don't know if it's because of all the good news over the weekend, or because I genuinely think something's happening, but I'm feeling KNACKERED this evening with no real need, and have felt strange sensations in my uterus all day. I'm only 8dpo so much too early, but still.......

Wiggy29 · 18/06/2012 22:45

Ohhhh treats, that sounds good. I've found that af cramps generally don't go away for more than half an hour whereas these cramps come& go and if I were to really over analyse I'd say slightly higher. Do you normally get af cramps?

Leftwingharpie · 19/06/2012 07:52

That does sound positive! I had cramping at 10dpo having had a sudden bbt dip the day before.

Leftwingharpie · 19/06/2012 07:55

Pipbin I hated having no symptoms when all over the Internet, everyone else seemed to be reeling off huge lists of them. I was convinced I was out this month because it just seemed all the signs (except BBT) were against it.

Treats · 19/06/2012 11:12

Oooh - and I'll tell you what else! I've just put this morning's temp into FF - a nice high one - and this month's post-ov temps have just been on a continual rise. Whereas all my other month's post-ov temps have been quite erratic. My temp taking hasn't been the most consistent this month (DD was next to me in bed while taking this morning's - "What you doin', Mummy?" - and I'd already been awake for a little while because she'd woken up at 5.20....) but I'm still taking it as a positive sign.

Not sure when to test, mind you. According to FF, I'm only 8dpo today (thought it was yesterday....) but it's also Day 30 and none of my cycles have been longer than 31 days. Going to sit it out a while longer though. Clearly testing before 12dpo is a fool's game!

harpie - I know what you mean. I didn't feel any different with either of mine until a good few weeks after I found out. You BFPs will hate me for this, but I didn't get a single bout of morning sickness either time......

combatqueen · 19/06/2012 15:24

Hello ladies,

hope you don't mind me butting in at such a late point in the thread. I have been lurking since falling off the sleigh but not posting as I'm not very good at keeping up to date with everyone's comments but happy to see some familure names and bfps.

I'm being selfish and coming in with a "me, me, me" comment but need to talk to get it off my chest and can't say anything in the real world.

I think I am 5 days past ovulation, I say think because my temps have been a bit all over the place this cycle.

For the last few days I have been shattered, not been sleeping very well so I know it's probably down to that, but maybe not sleeping very well is an early symptom.....,

Today i am imagining i have excessive amounts of saliva and a funny taste in my mouth.

Every sensible part of me is saying its too early for symptoms and I should stop kidding myself

Af due on Sunday (average 9 day lp)

If she doesn't show I will try to hold out to 14 dpo before pos, but not sure if I will last.

I'm not really expecting any response, just grateful to have a place to get this off my chest so maybe I can concentrate on doing somework.

Hi combat, i've never heard of an implantation before 6DPO so IMHO your tiredness and difficulty sleeping are due to something else, however if you are unsure of dates due to temps playing up this month then that's another matter.

Also I would highly recommend you try to lengthen your luteal phase. 9 days is very short. It is doable, hopefully people will be along later with how they achieved that but usually the B vitamins are involved and some people use Agnus castus (though its potent stuff which really needs a herbalist to talk you through)

combatqueen · 19/06/2012 15:51

Blackcats - I know and I feel silly for even thinking these things are signs but it's amazing hat you can find on google is you look hard enough. There are people out here who are convinced implantation occurred for them at as early as 3dpo ( must ban myself from google!)

I've been taking b6 100mg for the last 3 cycles and I'm not convinced its done anything, first month it seemed to help but then when back down to really short lp. Going to try Bcomplex next I think.

Treats · 19/06/2012 16:30

Agree with blackcats - 9dpo is really too short to be able to implant an embryo. Have you thought about going to see your GP? Have you got a Fertility Friend chart you want to share so that we can all have an opinion on your temps? Grin

It's amazing what you can wish yourself into. And Google is like the Mirror of Erised from Harry Potter - look at it and it will show you whatever your heart most desires. Not trying to put a downer on it, but it's highly unlikely that what you're reporting are pregnancy symptoms. Doesn't mean you're not pregnant of course Wink but the symptoms won't show this early. You're wise to wait until 14dpo before testing - nothing before then would be conclusive.

The 2ww is shitty. If it's any consolation, it gets a little bit easier to deal with each month - you get used to distracting yourself. Feel free to burble away on here if it helps you to cope. Fx for a speedy BFP for you!

Pipbin · 19/06/2012 16:56

Bollocks. 2 DPO here and brown EWCM like spotting.

OP posts:
Leftwingharpie · 19/06/2012 17:40

How can you have EWCM like spotting? Do you just mean blood streaked EWCM? Isn't that supposed to be the most fertile kind? Are you sure you're 2dpo?

Combat I agree with the others about your LP. It might be ok, but I would be looking at how to extend it if I were you. Obviously we're all mad self-medicators on here and I'm as guilty as anyone of having a cupboard stuffed full of vitamins and supplements from the tales of the old wives told on MN, but all I'm prepared to advise is, if you're not pg this month, see your doctor.

Pipbin · 19/06/2012 17:42

Not sure I'm 2dpo, but fairly sure. www.fertilityfriend/home/pibin

It's like EWCM, but brown. I've got my first hospital appointment tomorrow so I can mention it then.

Can you put the link in double square brackets, I'm on my phone.

Pipbin · 19/06/2012 17:55

Sorry Harpie I thought I had clicked the make this a link button.

I've put in a temp for tomorrow that is up with my current temp and FF puts the ov on day 20.

Leftwingharpie · 19/06/2012 18:52

you've spelt your name wrong! Grin

Leftwingharpie · 19/06/2012 18:55

Hmm you don't have enough bbt temps above the coverline to confirm OV. Can you DTD tonight just in case?

Pipbin · 19/06/2012 19:25

Sorry Harpie I am an idiot.

Will DTD just incase. Cold it have been an OV bleed that has got stuck?

OP posts:
Leftwingharpie · 19/06/2012 19:43

I suppose it's possible if you haven't been rooting around up there. You do seem to get a lot of EWCM!

SilentMammoth · 19/06/2012 20:58

Pip I'm finding your chat most confusing! Are you sure you ov our might you still be pre ov? Lots of luck for your appointment tomorrow what time is it?

Pipbin · 19/06/2012 21:07

I think the OPK points to OV. It all really depends on what my temp does in the morning really.
Appointment is at 9.30 in the morning. No idea what to expect but I will go armed with a pen and paper!

OP posts:
Leftwingharpie · 19/06/2012 21:57

I thought OPKs only indicate a surge - and that you can have a surge and then your progesterone levels can drop back and then you can surge again and then ovulate that time. I don't think you can tell for definite whether you have ovulated until you have 4 temps above the coverline? If you can, DTD again to be safe.

Leftwingharpie · 19/06/2012 21:58

I hope the appointment goes well tomorrow.

Pipbin · 19/06/2012 22:40

Thanks Harpie, I will report back!

lastboxoftampons · 19/06/2012 23:11

I think you probably ov'd when you think you did, making today 2dpo. Could the EWCM actually be, um, leftovers? I'm sure I've said it before but I have a hard time distinguishing between residual semen and Ewcm... Blush and possibly the spotting is just the result of A LOT of sex? Strangely I've been spotting nearly immediately after ov this month too :( now 7dpo and still spotting...

lastboxoftampons · 19/06/2012 23:11

Good luck tomorrow pip
