Wow, Father's Day BFPs Grin congratulations Harpie and Wiggy

Leftwingharpie · 17/06/2012 19:42

I know! DH was well chuffed.

Squirrel77 · 17/06/2012 20:04

Congrats Blackcats and Wiggy and Harpie! What fantastic news! Ooooh this is a lucky thread!

Dilly sorry to hear about BFN. It's so frustrating, isn't it.

Blackcats I like what you say about taking it one day at a time as well - very sage advice. I would also stop the temping if I got a BFP - otherwise I'm sure I would make myself even more anxious than I already am!

Regarding B6, I am just taking B6 on its own along with the rest of the arsenal - it increased my LP by one day then dropped down two days the next month, so hmmm.

Pipbin you are lucky to get so much EWCM - I have to go foraging around up my cloaca to find any!

Treats - an accountancy exam? Sounds scary! Shock Hope you survived?

Crazy are you sure the Clearblue people don't say that to make you buy more sticks??

I am working 7 days a week at the moment which is beginning to stress me out - and is why I haven't been on these boards much lately! Looking forward to my holiday - I go in three weeks time. Bring on the sun, sand, snorkelling and weird and wonderful food! In other news, I'm going to the GP to ask if she can prescribe me estrogen even though the hospital won't... and I'll keep eating the Nigerian Yams. Smile

Crazytictac · 17/06/2012 20:28

OMG wiggy and harpie Grin. What brilliant news and you were both so convinced you were out. I got such a jolt seeing your news. Congratulations, so pleased for you both!!

dilly your turn next month. You were right to hold out and not waste your money poas. Still sucks I know. [hugs]

squirrel good idea about asking your GP. Nothing to lose by doing so. Seems so daft that the hospital won't. It may be all you need to kick start a little squirrel. And yes, I did wonder that too about clearblue. I mean how much can the sticks vary, they're made in the same place Confused. Apologies if you've already said but where are you off to on your hols?

Hi to all the other ladies. Hope you've had good weekends!

Treats · 17/06/2012 20:31

Hey! I said yesterday that this was a lucky thread! Two BFPs in one day!! We're all going to be up the duff by the end of the month......

Seriously, Wiggy - I'm so, so happy for you. You've had so much to deal with and so much to think about - I'm delighted that it's all come good for you. And for you too leftie as well.

Nothing to report here. My breasts were feeling a bit full earlier, but I'm only 7DPO so much too early to even think about it.....

Leftwingharpie · 17/06/2012 21:17

I'm still convinced its all a mistake, or it won't stick. I don't think I dare test again, I'll just have to wait and see if I have a baby! Thanks everyone!

SilentMammoth · 17/06/2012 21:23

Lovely lovely news for you both, well done left wing and wiggy!!!!!

Pipbin · 17/06/2012 21:30

Congratulations Wiggy and Harpie. This is a lucky thread. It's those rabbits that are doing it.

Yay. Congrats Wiggy and Harpie on your bfps!
Lovely news in Fathers day for the daddys to be too.

Is this thread going to be like that chair at work where everyone who goes near ends up up the duff?! I hope so Wink

LimeLeafLizard · 17/06/2012 23:25

Blimey, two BFPs in one day! Wow, we're rolling now, hope it continues.

Congratulations Harpie too! Thanks

Pipbin · 17/06/2012 23:35

Harpie how many DPO were you when you got the bfn and then bfp?

OP posts:
Leftwingharpie · 18/06/2012 02:03

9dpo when I think implantation occurred (significant BBT dip), then tested on CD11 after waking up to a massive BBT spike - but very definitely BFN. No other symptoms but as BBT remained high the next day I tested again the next morning and got a very faint line on as Asda cheapie and then a stronger line on a FR. Spent all afternoon and evening yesterday not really believing it could be true, whilst munching my way through the whole content of the fridge. Then woke up just now (2am) desperate for the biggest pee ever and with very tender boobs and nausea and realised "holy fuck I'm pg"! Grin

Pipbin · 18/06/2012 07:14

Harpie. I think I would be the same. Not able to believe it.
Just goes to show that testing as late as you can is worth it.

High temp today, sure I ov'd yesterday and we managed to dtd twice!

Purpledragon · 18/06/2012 07:33

Congrats, wiggy and leftwing, just great news.

Grin at squirrel foraging. I forage too (foraging dargons? now there's a thought). I find very little when I do am old and knacked though and I'm taking EPO.

I'm 5dpo and I remember last time I was here I said 3dpo which is clearly wrong 'cause that was Friday.

blackcatsdancing · 18/06/2012 07:58

a big congratulations to wiggy and leftwing so pleased for you both! this is amazing, 3 positives in as many days!!

I tested again on Sunday and this time the line was still faint but anyone could see it was a line, whereas before i'm not sure everyone anyone would be convinced (it was a real squint at it job). Anyway that's the last of my cheap sticks so no more testing and I will not be temping- i haven't since my BFP. I'm due 26 Feb, this is based on a standard 28 day cycle as my cycles can vary, my luteal varies from 12-15 days . I do know from temping though that I most likely ovulated on day 13 . No idea when implantation occured as no signs on chart. As for testing. I had 3 of the most sensitive test sticks left- (10iu), i tested (stupidly really) on CD10, nothing, CD12 (extremely faint line), CD 14 (faint line). Last pregnancy i got a faint positive on CD14, i think people's bodies must respond differently to hcG . I am amazed at the amount of women on FF who get positives before CD10 it defies belief and I do wonder how many are having blood tests or maybe they just got a very early implantation.

well done Pipbin on getting a temp rise and all that shagging! lets hope its your month.

grr must rush now to get ready for work.

Pipbin · 18/06/2012 16:30

Well if this isn't my month I know that I couldn't have done any more.

Is it just me who likens this to saving up the tokens from the Rice Krispies and then having to wait for two weeks to get what ever it was in the post and being ultimately disappointed?

OP posts:
Leftwingharpie · 18/06/2012 16:43

Ooh does anyone remember when Kellogg's incorporated 7" singles into their breakfast cereals packaging as a free gift and you had to cut out the record and you could play it on your record player [random]?

Leftwingharpie · 18/06/2012 16:45

Pipbin you've done better than I did on the timing, DH flatly refused to DTD the evening before and the day of ovulation. I was furious with him!

SilentMammoth · 18/06/2012 16:55

Oh pip you won't be disappointed! Don't say that, come on girl, positive mental attitude!!

Lovely to read about all these bfps and whoever it was who quote that essay on when ashe got get bfn, implantation dip temp rise and bfp, sorry am on phone and can't scroll up, thank you that was really interesting read!

Wiggy29 · 18/06/2012 18:14

Thank you all again for congratulations, feel very lucky today. I started thinking of little things I won't be able to do like drink wine/ eat soft cheese in France this summer/ go on rides at Disney and smiling as I don't care- I just feel so blessed. I'm aware how lucky we have been and (touch wood) all will be well at the hospital in September. I have been told that if I'm pregnant they can't offer any treatment, only monitoring but hopefully all will stay well to allow for dc2 to be born safely (and maybe even a dc3 if that's not pushing my luck too much). I promise I will not whine about a single bout of morning sickness/ tiredness as realise how fortunate we are to be in this position. At the moment, I'm happy and cancer free so all is good Grin

Now I'm crossing everything for the rest of you guys, everyone on here is so supportive and caring it only seems fair that we all get a lovely squidgy dc soon.

For those who are interested, I had no pregnancy symptoms before BFP. Very greasy skin/ hair, spots, moody, tired, craving junk food and had (and still have) quite strong AF type cramps. I ov'd 3/06, had a BFN on 14/06 and bfp on 17/06. Just know I was always curious if people 'knew' before, I most definitely did not and had written myself off for that month.

Wiggy29 · 18/06/2012 18:16

If it wasn't clear there, I mean all 'symptoms' I had simply tied in with my usual pre-af ritual.

blackcatsdancing · 18/06/2012 19:03

wiggy FF have me down as ovulating same day as you. Due date calculators have me down as due 26th Feb. I tested neg 13/6 (10DPO), extremely faint line 15/6 (12 DPO), faint line 17/6 (14DPO)
only symptom other than my mental ones were funny taste in my mouth and not into tea. That started around 10DPO.

blackcatsdancing · 18/06/2012 19:07

well obviously my mental state isn't a symptom but hope peeps know what i mean.
wiggy really hope all remains clear for you on the cervix front. I've had treatment twice, never anything radical , i had laser many years ago then LEETZ, I know how scary the whole thing is. I recently had a clear smear so am at least spared that worry for the next 3 years.

blackcatsdancing · 18/06/2012 19:07

LLETZ not leetz

Pipbin · 18/06/2012 19:34

Thanks for posting your symptoms ladies.
Interesting to hear that, as a rule, you had none. And that you didn't get your BFPs until after BFNs the mythical 10 dpo.
