Argh. I'm probably just panicking unnecessarily, but due to being on the pill for years and years, I really know very little about natural cycles so would be very grateful if any MumsNetters had any pearls of wisdom.
I have PCOS (the type where all blood tests etc are normal but I have multiple follicles)
I normally have 38-40 day cycles, ovulating late, around day 28-30.
I also have a shortish luteal phase (probably related to the late ov, poor follicle?) and start spotting around 8-9 dpo with AF kicking in about 10 dpo.
My period usually only lasts 2 days.
This month, I was spotting for about 5 days after my period (proper bleeding) 'stopped'
I'm now on CD 14 and I'm bleeding. I haven't seen this before.
I definitely ovulated last month (+ OPK, BBT shift). I don't get false positives on OPKs (my LH levels are normal).
Is this my period or is it spotting? I got some dark blood on the paper when I wiped but I don't need a tampon. It's heavier than what I have considered 'spotting' before though. Is this normal for people with PCOS? How should I count my cycle days now? I'm supposed to be having day 3 and 7dpo blood tests done this month so my doctor can review them before starting clomid.
I'm so sick of my body letting me down
