hey ladies,

There are a few of us who are ttc after mc's, however there will be ladies out there who are also ttc for the first time or second or third without success. If anyone is on, considering or had success on a super ovulation programme then do join us. How long did it take ? Did you try IUI with it.. ? Did you have PCOS?

Kicking this off and hoping some of you will join....

Thanks for that info. Good to know!

Arianrhod · 16/08/2012 18:33

Well the gonal-f seems to have worked its magic, as I managed 2 follies (16mm & 19mm) on my previously inert right ovary and a slowcoach 10mm follie on the left, which I guess is all ok for CD11. So it's injection tomorrow and here we go again!! Cycle 4, only 2 left, so no pressure then ...

Pebbles73 · 16/08/2012 18:43

That's great news about your follies Ari, looks like a busy weekend for you! Wink

I am still spotting and yesterday on cd 17 i had some light pink in the evening and back to brown again today! Confused

Had your spotting stopped yet Ari?

Waves to everyone else, is quiet on here so assume you are all busy enjoying yourselves swi'!! Wink

jaffajiffy · 16/08/2012 19:20

ari that's a great result! You've got 3 tries if you're on cycle 4 -? Right? Loads of time!

buzzybee123 · 16/08/2012 19:58

kittens Thanks, a lady on a different thread said if you can get a prescription there is a place that will do it for less, how often are you going to have the intralipids, last time I went to the rmc at St Helier they tried to discharge me as I had seen Shehata privately, I told them no way and that I pay my NI and if I got pregnant I wanted my scans there, so they agreed to that, I found the staff in EPAU lovely and very supportive

Arianrhod · 17/08/2012 09:24

pebbles Ah, I don't know about the spotting, since while I am def. still spotting it now could be because of the hysteroscopy. Still spotting on CD17 though, that could mess with your head in terms of implantation bleeding?!

Havingkittens · 17/08/2012 10:54

That's strange buzzy. Lissa knew I was also seeing Mr S privately but actively encouraged me to get in touch with her whenever I needed more meds so I could continue to get them on an NHS prescription. I will have my second scan with Mr S at NLC because I am also due to have my intralipids that day but might speak to him then about having interim scans, where I don't need the intralipids, at St Helier's. I think the intralipids are at 4 weeks and 8 weeks. I can't see any indication in the programme to have them again after that but I'm sure I remember others having more.

I guess I need to make an appointment with my GP too now as I need to get booked in for my Nuchal scan. If I make it that far that one will be very very scary. I don't really know what to do. In the past I would've opted for a CVS straight off. I am offered one at 11+3, with or without a Nuchal because of my history but now I'm a little more wary because of the added miscarriage risk. I am wondering whether to go privately so that at least if I have a CVS it will be with the top person in this field, Prof. Nicholaides. I do feel a bit like I need to cross one bridge at a time but I also need to make necessary arrangements in time.

Arianrhod · 17/08/2012 11:00

Mmm Understand your dilemma kittens, and having had a friend miscarry due, the hospital believed, to the CVS she had done, I swore I absolutely won't have a CVS myself, even though like you I would have gone for one previously. It's just the risk factor - I know it's very small, but should I be lucky enough to be in the happy position where I'm 'properly' pregnant again, I honestly don't know that I could accept that risk. And if it was deemed necessary, I think I would do exactly as you're suggesting - bugger the cost, I'd go for Prof. Nicholaides. Are you thinking to have your Nuchal scan at the clinic free went to, I've completely forgotten the name of the place but it's the top one in the country? I remember she was impressed with the level of scanning done there. And you're absolutely right - while one bridge at a time is a very sensible approach, you do need to make sure you are prepared for the next bridge along in good time.

Havingkittens · 17/08/2012 12:39

Yes, that was the clinic I was thinking of. The Fetal Medicine Centre on Harley St. After my third pregnancy (second Down's Syndrome pregnancy), there was absolutely no doubt in my mind about having a CVS, before even having a Nuchal scan, as I know the Nuchal Scan even with combined bloods is only an indication not an actual diagnostic test. My risk of having that happen again is that much higher than most too so it really is a dilemma.

Arianrhod · 17/08/2012 12:44

Is it worth waiting to see what comes out of the Nuchal scan, before worrying about whether a CVS will be necessary? If you had the nuchal at the FMC, if they're likely to be more accurate in their diagnosis, perhaps that would do away with the need to have a CVS and so take away the dilemma? Just a thought.

Havingkittens · 17/08/2012 13:45

I might give them a call and have a chat about it, see what they think.

buzzybee123 · 17/08/2012 17:34

kittens lisa is great it was the German consultant who wanted to discharge me, I get my prescription from my GP, I don't have time to sit around at St Helier waiting for them to pull their finger out, yes one bridge at a time, scan next Thursday :)

Havingkittens · 17/08/2012 17:39

My GP won't give me the prescriptions anymore. He says he would prefer it if my consultant oversaw my entire treatment, but I rather suspect it has more to do with the fact that each practice is now in charge of their own PCT budgets! So, rather than walk the 3 minutes to my GP surgery in North London, I have to schlep all the way to Carshalton to get my prescriptions! Although, I have enough meds to keep me going until my scan there on Thursday so that works out ok. The only think I am going to run out of before then is Omeprazole, which I'm hoping I might be able to borrow 3 or 4 to tide me over off my grandma when I visit her on Monday!

Just suddenly feeling very crampy this last half hour. Trying very hard to remain calm and rational.

buzzybee123 · 17/08/2012 18:17

kittens Its annoying that your GP won't do it for you, thank goodness for Grandmas Wink I'm sure its just your uterus stretch to make room for your growing bump

Havingkittens · 17/08/2012 18:47

Thank heavens indeed. Back in November I was tapping her up for spare prednisolone to take to France too!

Yes, really hoping this is stretching pains. Although not much to stretch for just yet!

buzzybee123 · 17/08/2012 19:03

your grandma sounds like the local drug dealer Wink your uterus will do alot of growing

Chasinrainbows · 18/08/2012 14:12

Jaffa glad to hear all was well at your scan and you got to see the hb. Nice to hear about the BFP's , it gives me hope that this will work . It can be nerve wracking knowing you have just 6 tries .

Havingkittens · 18/08/2012 23:57

Oh my gosh, Jaffa, I'm sorry, I completely missed your scan news! That's great! Grin

Pebbles73 · 19/08/2012 14:45

Hi all hope you are sll enjoying the sun, Kittens hope the mentaling isn't to bad!!

Just a quick question for you ladies who have done tested to make sure thd ovitrelle is out if your system, his many days post ov do you normally get a negative?

buzzybee123 · 19/08/2012 15:33

pebbles I got a neg test 12 days after taking ovitrelle so 10dpo, only done it the once

Arianrhod · 19/08/2012 16:05

pebblesI'm the same as buzzy - 12 days after the shot, or 10dpo.

jaffa great scan news!!

Well I'm afraid we may have missed the boat this month, as I got what felt exactly like ovulation pains on Fri afternoon ... before I was due to do the Ovitrelle shot Fri night. CD12 is early for me to ov but having said that, I'm sure I ovd on CS11 last month during my non-TTC cycle. And because of having to wait till the post-hysteroscopy bleeding stopped we hadn't DTD Thu night. We did Fri night, but if I did ov Fri afternoon chances are high that will have been too late. Not too many miracles come my way these days. Feck. :(

Pebbles73 · 19/08/2012 17:03

Thanks for the info, only 9dpo and 10 days after trigger shot so just got to be patient!!! Have been having some cramping on and off but I think realistically is of own to the over stimulating which makes you feel like there is a lot going on......

Ari you dtd Thursday night so you still made it before ov do you never know, often happens when you least expect it....,,

Arianrhod · 19/08/2012 17:34

No we didn't DTD Thu, that's the problem pebbles, we couldn't because I was still bleeding from the hysteroscopy :( . Oh well, what's done is done, just hav to make up for it next month.

Fingers crossed for your testing, patience was never my strong suit!

buzzybee123 · 19/08/2012 18:01

ari you never know fingers crossed

Pebbles73 · 19/08/2012 18:04

Ah sorry Ari I misread your post, it's such a bugger trying to time it all.

Feeling very restless and agitated today, b**y pred!
